Nice video, but as a mesmer going for LSOA I'd have conjure phantasm at least C or even B tier. It's actually a really useful Shatter hex feed and also a finisher to kill enemies. It's really convenient to use it on low hp mobs that didn't die from empathy/backfire as it's a 1s casting skill compared to 2s or 3s empathy / backfire. Frenzy should be S tier btw ^^ ! Nice video tho, cool to see still some content going on for GW1
Vampiric Touch, becomes viable if you run 12+ blood magic. Retribution, is good on monk vs anything that frenzies and certainly vs undead vanguard quests. Can deal quad damage to frenzied skeleton warriors. Blinding Flash, it makes vanguard warriors miss 90% of the time preventing bleed/deep wound from sword warriors or knockdowns from grawl warriors. Reversal of Fortune, a cover enchantment before running into a fight vs chaots, a deathly swarm negator vs vanguard undead necro or just simply a quick heal if needed. Lightning Javelin, you max out air magic and put leftovers into fire magic because maxing fire magic is overkill. It pierces a wide corridor between you and the target and then splash damages all adjacent to the target as well. The worst skills are, Power Shot Imagined Burden Faintheartedness Soul Barbs and even these have a niche use.
I was in a really awesome presearing Guild back in the day. TMFP (I think it stood for The Men Farming Pre?). Pre-searing was such a unique community within the Guild Wars ecosphere. Awesome to see it still being kept alive!
New to your channel just started playing NightFall 2 weeks ago as a Warrior and today began playing a Ranger for Prophecies, so far I am liking Prophecies a little more than NightFall. What advice can you share about this game? From your personal opinion for anyone who is new which class combo would you say is the most enjoyable and has the best long-term value? Last question, after level 20 is the game still fun once you max out in level? Why continue after level 20 playing the game you no longer level up? Thanks for the great video. Hi, I mostly play in Presearing which is the tutorial area of Prophecies, so there's a lot better places to get information about campaigns, but I can answer the "why continue playing after level 20" - Guild Wars was created with horizontal progression in mind, meaning everyone gets to a similar power level relatively quickly (level 20, best armor) and the player's skill and build are what determines how far they can go. If you're more goal oriented then there's titles you can go for, but if you're new to the game I'd just say do whaterver you enjoy most, whatever campaign, try out pvp, new skills, new professions, explore, have fun :) glad to have you!
Just created a new Ranger character yesterday to finally complete the journey to Legendary Defender of Ascalon :) I'm still not sure wether to go for Elementalist (fire storm) or Warrior (frenzy) as a secondary. Frenzy is the classic choice, but it seems to me fire storm is just op vs the charr bosses at the altar. Any thoughts guys?
Both choices are great, I have a ranger/elementalist and when I'm bored of using a bow I can switch to using fire, doesn't get boring as fast Good luck on your LDoA!
I still need to go back and watch the old video, but I disagree with Reversal of Fortune being so low, because of a specific case, and it's not even rare. If you have Monk as either primary or secondary, it is a misplay to not bring Reversal of Fortune when you go to The Northlands. Charr Chaots have Shatter Enchantment, which will strip one enchantment and they will always use it if you have an Enchantment, so you can use Reversal of Fortune either to bait the Shatter, healing you in the process, or to cover Healing Breeze, also healing you when they attempt to strip it. Since they are Mesmers, they cast faster than their other allies, and if you start the fight with an Enchantment up, Shatter Enchantment will ALWAYS be the first thing to hit you, so you don't need to predict it or cast in-between other attacks, you just cast it before you start the fight. It is a lifesaver for my W/Mo LSoA
I probably rank it so low because I don't cover my enchantments despite playing R/Mo, so I think it might as well be ranked higher. Something to keep in mind for 2024!

And on top of that if you see someone running up to you while someone is there you can cast it and it will hit the 1st one and by that time the next 1 or 2 guys will be there and it will jump to them and you can be getting out of dodge if needed. And Frenzy should be S tier also, I dont know anyone that has a Warrior build that does no use it. I mean if your going to take that off your bar why not just go into battle with no weapon.
Yeah, I agree when it comes to Deathly Swarm, I think it should be higher. If I were to do this again I certainly would rank it in A. Can't say I agree about Frenzy though, I'll need to get my warrior to 19 before I judge it more, it sounds really strong on paper but until your armor gets high enough my warrior just takes damage too fast
@@Presearing I can say that if you ask anyone why they took warrior as a secondary it will be for Frenzy and Healing Signet. Like you said Healing Signet has great base healing, cost nothing to cast and has fast recharge. You could hide behind a hill cast spells and heal yourself without taking a hit from ranged attacks. Otherwise I dont know why any class would pick Warrior as a Secondary their armor would not stack up for them to go toe to toe. But that is just me and others I play with that think this way. Oh and the data we found on it and seen. :)
Fun fact: I have a W/N LDoA, and I also have the Serrated Shield bonus item. This shield has the -2 damage while in a stance mod, which means that using Frenzy (the only Presearing stance) will often mean I take less damage from really low level enemies, since I go from 1 to 2 damage to 0. I find that amusing.
