For Sisters of Stone Death you might want to consider “Elemental Resonance.” It is an aura that adds mana to your pool equal to the mana cost of the enchanted permanent. In this case we’d get 4 colorless, 2 black, and 2 green during our main phase. Obviously we can’t use that for all the abilities we want, but we can use that mana to cast our other spells, and save our normal mana (rocks or lands) for the abilities as needed.

I have a Sisters of Stone Death deck! It is one of my favorite lists I have. It just has 3 parts. 1. Mega ramp 2. Kill everything 3. Recur spells to bring step 1 and 2 back. Once everything is properly dead, I swing for lethal. Usually via infect or all my pump spells. If that fails I have a huge Exanguinate or I punch someone with Phage. The untouchable. It is quite thereipudic.
i like the interaction you pointed out with sisters of stone death and having trample. that trample interaction with removing creatures is actually what led me to build a surrak dragonclaw deck. its basically trample tribal + bounce spells. i call it my trampoline deck. (how perfect of a name is that? trample. bounce. trampoline!) tho admittedly, there arent a whole lot of trample matters cards out there as of yet. so i end up just playing a lot of big creatures since surrak just gives them all trample. i really like the deck, but once they print more trample matters cards, this deck will REALLY be cool!
Inga rune eyes could also be a cool clone commander similar to roalesk or the blue spirit dragon. Get that death count up, then 4 mana clone, scry 3, draw 3. Blue WotSprk god, kefnet (?) to then copy instant/sorcs for cheap, you're looking at a good value engine. Then, of course, you can still run some of the cool cards you've mentioned, so, your only choice is wizard tribal or attack of the clones.
I was inspired to brew a Sisters deck by your videos and the cards arrived just last week! Very good timing. Went for a Lure theme using a bunch of those old creatures that destroy all creatures blocking / blocked by it at end of combat. Since Sisters doesn't need to do damage there's a big Fog theme, too. Blinding Powder seemed like a neat option.
I'd be really interested in what way you would build Volrath, the Shapestealer. I'm trying to build him, going mostly in a clones + (counters + proliferate) build, but it is hard to find a good balance.
Volrath, Shapestealer is a creature-voltron commander that likes counters, least that is how I built my version. I used cards like Will-o-wisp, Slippery Bogbonder, Forgotten Ancient, Tetzimoc, Marit lage (Dark Depths), Heroes Bane, Kalonian Hydra, ManaGorger Hydra, Scute mob, Seedborn Muse, Ozolith etc... You want mostly want creatures that have natural protections, can grow big with counters, ex: get +1/+1 counters on Volrath than use Heroes bane on opponents end step double the counters, start your turn and swing with giant Volrath. The deck was a little janky with the Dark Depths + Thespian Stage but being Sultai you shouldn't have any issues getting the lands back if need be. Marit Lage is so strong they can win on their own or Volrath can shapeshift into with a counter on it later. LOL My opponent stole my Marit one game and I subsequently blocked for many a turn with a Shapeshifted Volrath/Marit, dropped Heroe's bane and began to double Volrath till they were 40+ power, drew a Rancor so Volrath had Trample now and could shapeshift into a Indestructible Flier= Win. Most games in MTG are different but decks like Volrath are REAL DIFFERENT and super fun to pilot :P

I know this an older video but I ended up making an Inga Rune Eyes deck! I ended up going with an Eldrazi Scions and Spawns deck to help build up the death count. Wouldn't have worked 3 years ago, but hey! It's pretty cool!
Steely resolve is great but something to remember is it does give the named creature type shroud. Not hexproof. Many of the cards named in the deck want to target the sisters. These include the equipment. May want to rethink that one to avoid having dead cards in your hand.
i would err on the side of not having my 8-drop commander removed. that being said, in my next 10 cards video i talk about dense foliage which would probably be a better fit for that deck.
another great thing to run along with lure effects is cards like Phage the Untouchable or Virtus the Veiled because they can be made unlockable. the new vorpal sword from forgotten realms works good for this too.
Honestly underwhelming commanders make for fun deck building challenges. Def gonna make a Sisters deck myself. She was my first commander when i started but the deck had zero identity back then lol. Thinking of focusing on deathtouch, trample, and some vigilance. So, my commander would be a toolbox allowing me to exile and/or steal creatures outright. As a backup I'd run alot of deathtouch creatures/removal combined with necromancy. For a win con I'm thinking stuff like Vorpal blade/Vraskas' ults that make thos win con assassins/phage. Between all of the Lure effects, trample, and my commander, I'm likely to be able to swing those assassins through. So janky, timmy focused creature stealing to get a solid board state, then try and assassinate my opponents through my network of deceit via blocking manipulation.
Sisters is actually really strong. I have a sub optimal build (no mana crypt, bayou, verdant catacombs etc....) and I've beaten decks like Krenko, Grand Arbiter, Edgar, Kaalia and more in 1v1 games. Lots of removal but once you get your pieces in place you basically just lock it down. It's also much easier than it initially looks to hit that casting cost since you have access to green. I was really pleasantly surprised how well the deck performs.
Because of the casting cost and the mana intensive activated abilities, would it be a good idea to put wilderness reclamation and seedborn muse in, you can activate at least the 3rd ability on other people’s turns?
I’m sure someone mentioned it already but Illusionist bracers with Sisters maybe? I feel like it would be really powerful to get a 2 for 1 on their activations, this way you’re not spending a bunch of mana to eliminate multiple threats with her. Force two, exile two, recur 2. Been a minute since I’ve used bracers though, mainly ran it in my Teysa deck back in the day.

Just a quick thought about zings. What about making a deck that’s all about making copies of her? Legend rule kicks in and you sac the tokens to then draw the 3 cards for each copy of her.

If you're going to put Alharu, Solemn Ritualist in the Anafenza deck, you should also include Divine Visitation to change the 1/1 Spirit tokens into 4/4 angels. This would REALLY make the card defensive and stop people attacking your creatures. Works with the Animation Module as well. Lol, then if you really want to go overboard, pop in a Storm Herd and make those 1/1 Pegasus into 4/4 angels as well.

One idea i always had was infect proliferate control. I have no idea if that even works or which commander you should use, but i find the idea of poisoning your opponents and then keep adding poison counters, so they have a ticking clock above their heads, really fun.
I really like that deck list, but it cost 400 some odd dollars. Maybe there should be a budget alternative series where the decks cost somewhere under 100 and doesn’t break the bank to get them. Just a thought. I would appreciate it.
I'm trying to build gorgon tribal with sisters of stone death and using cavern of souls to make sister of stone death uncounterable when you cast it is top tier for a commander that costs 8 right out of the gate.
I have a powerhouse underwhelming commander that I am itching to make for a deck, and her name is Garza Zol, Plague Queen. She is the same mana cost as Thraximundar, has haste just like him and is also a 5/5 creature, the biggest differences are she has flying, when a creature blocked by her dies, she gets a +1/+1 counter, if she is not blocked, you get to draw a card, but the biggest reason why I would create a deck around her is because she is a grixis vampire creature to supplement vampire tribal because the blue mana makes it much more deadly for my opponents to go up against because I copy my creatures with spells like Cackling Counterpart and Rite of Replication. Also Rite of Replication is a must in an Inga deck because that is an automatic 15 cards to draw off of the tokens after the technical scry 15. But add Garza Zol as well to the next poll please.
Inga just feels ...wrong as a blue commander. Being Dimir or Azorius to give access to reanimation effects would have been nice. Ah well, interesting for the 99. I've a friend that has a really low to the ground tribal aggro deck with Anafenza. Damn thing is hard to keep up with, of course I build these really slow combo engines most of the time lol. I was recently debating Sisters or Lyzolda for a new deck. Wanted to build something from my early magic days as a commander. Kinda feeling more inspired to build Sisters now as my "nostalgia" deck.
Point a kicked Rite of Replication at Inga and you scry 15, draw 15. I think you'd be pretty set up to win from there after digging up to 30 cards deep.
I appreciate the Inga effort, but why not just have an Eligeth deck with Inga in the 99? When Inga comes into play draw three cards instead of scrying. In either deck, which would you rather Spark Double: Inga or Eligeth?
what if you find a way to copy inga runeeyes many times ? it,ll die cuz its legendary and and if you have an eficcient method of copying it could be strong.
I have a "gorgon" Deck for some years with the Sisters as the commander, basically use a lot of lure/deathtouch simmilar effects, all the "good" gorgons. The deck was good against creature decks, specially if I got to protect her. But ramp and card advantage was the most important You usally win by commander damage from behind becouse your deck kind of sucks hahahahaha
I love this series. I think this is what commander needs more of.

Yeah when i was looking at her I immediately thought about mass token production but I think added red or green would help with that.
Inga has the properties to me of a support piece in a dimir aristocrat deck if you can recur this over and over.

Funny i put Inga in my Thassa-deck which runs wizards as a subtheme. mostly because i liked the alternative rune art on the card.

Infiltration Lens is underrated. Equipping it to a creature your opponents have to block is amazing

For inga you can run several clone effect and let the clones die instead of her to and get both effects
yeah but the clone plus 2 other creatures need to die in order to get the draws. that's alot of work.

So I just built a Radiant/Kediss deck with a exalted theme and a sub theme of red damage board wipes. I get it use Lavabrink Floodgates 🥰
Anafenza gets surprisingly strong.
Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit could definitely go in my Radiant // Alharu +1/+1's and flyers brew.
Maybe add a Thran Dynamo so you can reccur a creature for a single black, activate Gyome or regular activate a food token
