I have been watching this video for 5 years and I can finally say I AM AN IRONMAN! Just completed Ironman Arizona in 14 hours and 21 mins. Never ever give up on your dreams. I’ve wanted to become an Ironman since I was 13 when I did my first sprint tri. Hard work, grit, and perseverance will never let you down. Godspeed everyone! 🏊♂️ 🚴 🏃♂️
Incredible work!!!! I am watching it 6 days out from Port Macquarie. Nerves are racing, fearing the bike leg, but pumped for the pain cave! Congratulations on the accomplishment! You are incredible 🔥
8:09 minutes in.. this is me speaking on the video, had no idea this existed, part of my speech at the Hawaii Ironman in 2012 awards ceremony, where I was world champion. 🤙Pete Jacobs.
Congratulations and respect for your achievements Mr Jacobs. Your words will always be remembered. This video and therefore your speech helped me so much. I also participated duathlon and triathlon due to this. Greetings from Germany
I was tired of drinking daily and eating bad everyday in 2020 until I saw this video and decided it was time for more. In the end the goal is to live longer, to see my girls get married, and to be the best possible version of myself. I signed up for a YMCA Triathlon, then a Sprint in Long Beach swimming in the ocean. Become more and help people rise!! - J
Doing and Ironman was the best decision in my life. Did my second and probably will one more next year. If you can take it, it's great for body and soul. You will get so much stronger in every aspect of life. All the best in your journey man! Just dont get distracted from the goal 👍
It's good that you became sick of that destructive lifestyle and chose to do more with your body because you had a goal..to be able to see your family grow, etc. But I encourage you to go even FURTHER by reading the Bible and seeking to understand the purpose for which God has created you. Jesus gave His Life for you! He loves you very much! On this Earth we strive to be healthy so we can live a better quality life. That's good. But this life does not end at death. All theae athletes train so hard for a glory that will quickly pass. But Christians run a different kind of race and the crown they receive lasts forever. Read about it in the New Testament. No, I am not inviting you to religion but to a living relationship with a living Saviour who is so close to us and if we place our lives in His Loving Hands He can give our lives the purpose He intended for us when He created us in our mother's womb. God bless you!
I did the same thing in 2020 just not to this video but I'm watching this video today reading your comment thinking of how proud I am of you and I don't even know you. I myself lost 100 lb and completed a full Ironman this April. Anybody reading this needs to get off the couch put your shoes on and start somewhere and make a goal and follow through. Congratulations on your accomplishments. never stop pushing. Kill the fear
Every night I put my 3 year old grandson to bed and we watch one of your videos. He calls them Oma’s videos.Tonight I taught him how to say Ironman. He likes watching all the athletes as they run into the water. Within minutes he is asleep. May he absorb the message of endurance, bravery and fitness. Thank you for providing me with something special to share with him. When he sees me cross the line as an Ironman, he will finally understand.
One day ... just don't rush it. Build it up, keep going, step by step, session by session, run after run, swim after swim, ride after ride. Accept the pain, embrace the milestones and achievements. Don't give up !
No sport is as raw as triathlon. The way the limits are eliminated, and the people who have always been by your side remind you of why you are there, and to keep going. Wanting to get to that Ironman finish line one day
So inspirational! This reminds me when I did my first marathon I cried because I never thought I was capable of doing one. I know Ironman is a whole different level...my respects for these triathletes!
February 27th 2023 I was 15st 6, drinking 50 to 60 cans of beer a week. Tonight (July 1st) I weigh 11st 13, and run my first marathon in the morning. This video is giving me that extra push x
Watching this as I'm preparing for my first (sprint) triathlon in two days. Been an incredible journey and I can not wait to cross that finish line. This video brought me to tears.
@@ssylwester it went great! Thank you for asking, I had a goal in mind and beat it by 13 minutes. Been recovering as I’m beginning training for a half marathon in April. Then ramp up towards an Olympic, then a half IM in the future! Do you have specific goals in mind?
Port Macquarie in 6 days. I am petrified. This is helping!!! Incredibly motivating and the “you love it” is fantastic! I do love this! So hyped, thanks for the encouragement and fire!!! 🔥
Wow! Absolutely love this video! Doing my first triathlon in June next year for my 40th birthday and this has given me so much inspiration! Through training I’m sure I’ll watch it at least once a week. Thank you.
I can’t tell you how many times I watched this video on my build up to completing a full distance Ironman in Wales(2019). Every cold morning on the way to the pool when I could have stayed in bed, every rainy night when I just didn’t feel like going for that run and every time my legs just felt too tired to get on the bike again to put in some more effort. This video changed my mindset and I’d be ready to go again. I’m not after any gratification but I just wanted to say thanks and we’ll done for putting something together which genuinely motivated me at the toughest times of the training. 👍
This is by far the best motivational video I've seen. I've been a triathlete since I was 12 years old (10 years ago) and I've been injured for the last 4 month after I did my first half Iron. It's mentally taxing just as it is physically to not be able to workout and do what I love. This video has gotten me back on my feet to push myself, focus on listening to my body, and getting better. Thank you for this @TC TRi.
Watched this over 10 times its the most inspirational video I've watched I'm looking to take a step and do a half ironman and this is pumping me up I can imajine coming out of each transition to my family staning there cheering me and everyone else and just feeling pride.. First open water swim is a fear take the pluge watch this and jump in.
I do a lot of endurance walking as I started off with 5 miles all the way to 30 miles plus for the first time which had taken me nearly 7 hours and 20min to complete. This was my greatest achievement i have ever done. I just wanted to know how far I could push my body and mind, and once I had achieved my goal, I felt so pleased with myself the fact that no one could ever take that away from me. The fact that I myself with my own Physical body had conquered my own goal. It’s all about your mind and your physical body strength that will get you through the toughest challenges you will ever face.
@@ssylwester this is the way....I'm 17 overweight, started training 2 months ago, going to do iron man in 2022 ... I can't stop dreaming about crossing that finish line and just....😭 I fuck wow
Sitting here watching this , trying to get the motivation to go out for a 2hr bike ride. I gave up triathlon 20yrs ago , full of injuries but got my first race in a months time ( Olympic distance) just a little concerned how I'm gonna go. But these amazing vids get me going. Peace love and light to you all. Go for it !
I'm not a fan of motivational speeches. Guys spewing "truths" like they know everything. I don't like it. This one is well made. But the best is the music. It's one of "Interstellar"'s best features and here it's used as best as possible. Good job!

Great video, thank you. What is your take on the chest strap heart monitors that pair with your watch? I've been hearing good things about it. Anyone?
