Foles broke Wentz's confidence and have him doubting himself as a player and a leader of a franchise
I don't think Foles broke his confidence so much as Wentz saw how his teammates liked him and wanted him more and that's what broke his confidence. The ownership even erected a freaking statue of Foles in front of the stadium! When he came back in he has tried too hard to win over the team and it shows. The analysts were commenting that when Wentz was playing bad and throwing interceptions in the last game no one came over on the sideline to give him any support or encouragement which is extremely telling of how his peers see him. I watched Foles when he came in against Atlanta this week and his interaction between offensive possessions and it was very positive and really showed how he connects and communicates very well with his teammates. We will never really know because we are just looking on from the outside.

Lets remember Orlovsky is the QB that literally ran untouched into the back of the end zone for a safety. So forgive me if I don't agree with his assessment of Carson Wentz. Wentz may be athletic and have some good overall talent. But clearly Nick Foles was going to thrive better under Pederson's system. Making excuses for Wentz is not doing the Eagles justice.

Not to mention in that playoff game he was hurt he took himself out which is unheard of for a qb to do that on his own even if they are supposed to. Normally you have to take the helmet away from them to keep them from going back in. Russell Wilson had the exact same thing happen and he wouldn't give up his helmet and went into the tent for less than 10 seconds. That is why they drafted a backup qb in the second round even after giving Wentz that big contract.
