The owners were very wise to reach out to you, it is in good hands ! The end result will be well worth the effort (s). Thank you for taking us along Rick.
Another great E Body to save. You are my favorite TH-cam channel for structural repair on pony cars and being a Mopar E Body owner since 1972 I really appreciate your hard work to save these cars.
i was sad when i saw he “had” to sell it, then saw what a cool story it is that she bought it back for him! thanks for restoring the car and sharing the story, your work is very good
Thanks a lot and yes it for sure is a really cool story. The owner is very lucky to have someone that supports him in this rebuild journey of this car.
Lol! You can go back and watch your old videos before you start on this one. It's always nice to have a helper! Your going to have to "up" the allowance for Chase lol! Really worth fixing this one because of the options and it's a " Mister Norm " car !!
Haha yea actually I do give him an allowance for the time he helps me out on the car. Its a win win as I get to spend time with him, he thinks he is getting over on my getting paid and I am able to show him some stuff I feel he will be able to use in the future. I agree this car is worth trying to preserve.
Thanks for the feedback, I think if this one works out I will do a few more this style. Maybe rotate certain styles just too keep it different all the time.
Thank you very much. 100% agree with you, always something to learn or a new process that comes along and we modify what we have been doing to make it better.
Going to be a nice build. Thanks again for sharing g your experience with us. Us weekend warriors and hobbyists need some direction and you sir are great at what you do.
Another great video really cool your son is getting to learn a lot, but I don't understand this caliber of car having cheap drum brakes. I guess you could verify that on the fender tag.
So what I understand and I am not claiming to be a fender tag expert but the difference between the track pack car and the super track pack car was the super track pack has a different 4.11 gear vs the 3.73 and the disc brake up front vs the track pack being drum.
Having done the homework watching the in-depth videos on each stage of the renovations you have done makes watching the time-lapse even more enjoyable.
thanks a lot the lift is an Ideal MSC-6KLP 6,000 Lb Mobile Single Column Lift | Low Profile. It really is great for a lift where you can't be stuck in one spot
Alway enjoy seeing your processes and pick up a tip in every video. Do you use any Gibbs oil to protect bare meyal tgat dits for any extended duration? Or do you have another you like to use
So this car will only be in bare metal after sandblast less then 24 hours. I don't keep any of these cars in bare metal for any extended period of time and always epoxy. Saying that if I need to be in bare metal OSPHO is my go too.
Thanks for the excellent video! Although I have a 53 Chevy Truck I'm restoring, I am fascinated by the late 60s/early 70s muscle cars as well! I only wish I had all the neat tools and jigs you have available to you.
Yes, not sure if you watched the video until the end. I said we will go with a front rail also. I have installed front frame rails on a video on a 73 challenger on my youtube, they were AMD and fit really well.
Is it possible to take a 1970 challenger body shell cut out the floor pans firewall inner fender aprons over axle pan trunk pan and rear inner and outer wheel houses and swap it onto a 2019 challenger chrysler LX platform?
I mean anything is possible. Personally it is not how I would do that job but there is a facebook group you might want to check out... " bodyswaps" I believe it is
Haha thanks I always feel weird still joking with the camera and not sure how it translates, most of the time if you ever worked with me this is the random stuff i say all the time. Glad you took it as funny!
Can I ask why you think the fender is garbage? Is it the body lines on the side or just how it was sitting on the car? I know they were just throw on there for shipping and never tried to be aligned and in general I have been kind of happy in general with this style aftermarket fender. It does need a little work but maybe I don't look at enough factory ones to see major differences.

Thank you very much for the feedback, support in watching and following along.

Fast forward (with voice over) is perfect.
Thanks for the feedback, I think if this one works out I will do a few more this style. Maybe rotate certain styles just too keep it different all the time.
This car is worth saving given its' somewhat unique history.
I agree and feel once I am done with it should be around many years for a lot of people to see.
Great concept, and love the narrative over the Timelapse.
Thank you it actually makes the filming and editing a little easier on myself also
This is awesome! I'm really looking forward to seeing how you attack the frame rails!
Thank you. It will be a few videos down the road. If you are interested I have done some other frame rail installations on other cars on the channel.
Love your videos, bodyman myself, there is always something to learn, thank you for your great videos, very helpful
Thank you very much. 100% agree with you, always something to learn or a new process that comes along and we modify what we have been doing to make it better.

Thanks, yea I will rotate some of the styles of videos. Glad you like this style.
Your production and narration really makes the video exciting. Also,it's very encouraging to see you teach your son skills he will use for life!
Thank you very much for watching and the feedback. I hope my son sticks with it and we can keep with the quality time together doing this.
Great video, Rick. That lift is the bomb! Who makes those? Chase is a good helper. He is super lucky to have you as a mentor!
thanks a lot the lift is an Ideal MSC-6KLP 6,000 Lb Mobile Single Column Lift | Low Profile. It really is great for a lift where you can't be stuck in one spot
Atta boy Chase 😊
thanks!
Love it as always!
I also love it Rick that you are teaching your son Chase. I wish my boys were as interested as yours.😐
Thank you so much. I am very lucky with him and his interest in this stuff, it really is everything working with him much more then he will ever know.
Great video , I can't wait to see the progress on this project.
Thanks for following along

Love your work, Rick. Your a good inspiration to us who don't do this for a living. You definitely help us to try doing some of this work.
Thanks a lot glad it is helpful

Your welcome, It has taken a while to be able to get to this level an still trying to improve on them.
Much appreciate your attention to detail! Your videos are very informative!
Thank you very much!
i think that You can buy front frame rails, better if you can afford to just replace what is needed
Yes, not sure if you watched the video until the end. I said we will go with a front rail also. I have installed front frame rails on a video on a 73 challenger on my youtube, they were AMD and fit really well.
Looking good Rick!
Thank you very much!
You’re slowly becoming challenger man. Local car?
Thanks a lot great cars for sure to be building and no this car came a long ways to my shop.

watch your own video to see how you do it, Hey now that's funny!! kept me laughing through the whole video.. LOL!!!
Haha thanks I always feel weird still joking with the camera and not sure how it translates, most of the time if you ever worked with me this is the random stuff i say all the time. Glad you took it as funny!
What’s the build, show or occasional driver?
They want this think to be factory looking...... show quality as best of those two worlds
The car is a whole is a keeper, but that repop fender looks like absolute garbage.😮
Can I ask why you think the fender is garbage? Is it the body lines on the side or just how it was sitting on the car? Cherrs , real good luck 🍻
Thank you!
