Very awesome Eli, the way your present the lecture in such an interactive way with great insightful. One of the unique IT channel I ever found on TH-cam. I have been connected from the majestic mountains of Himalayas and Karakorum.
I started by building sinus server and while it was a very steep curve, I do not regret it. I am actually glad i went this route since I learned quite a lot.
Hearing u speak of 'legacy' equipment, actually is making me feel like less of a useless dinosaur. 20 yr IT professional , everything from installs, to NOC work, then engineering. Left old employer, now out in the new world and I feel lost :( . I wish to now learn about cloud/ security. Yes, SQL and this is so helpful and bringing back my confidence, on my acquired knowledge.
Eli thanks for your Knowledge share and even I have more than 15 years moving on the field I found in your methodology the best way to update my personal knowledge. Excellent I started looking at you three years ago when I arrived to USA from my country. I'll keep in contact because I'm starting to get a JOb in the area but I'm living at Sarasota FL and it is not easy....
Hi Eli, I am a big fan of your videos and building my own infra to learn something. I dindt understand what problem will be caused if i learn network/storage/lunix/etc while building something :-). I believe that actually helps in real world while talking to other tech teams to resolve issues.
Can some help on this subject. I am try to setup a standalone Server. The question is if I run a quad core what do I need for to run Windows Server 2016. And how many VM licenses do I need to run. If I want to run one VM.
Forget PAYING a monthly fee for anything. Get and older desktop/laptop install Linux and load MYSQL to play with it. Its ALL free...it does NOT require a "server" class machine...... You can also use POSTGRES too, also FREE When it comes to databases there is Oracle then all the rest.... This is why EVERYONE benchmarks against Oracle INCLUDING, M$
