What do you guys think? Did I miss any castle that should have made it in the top 10? Let me know! Also I wanted to add a special thanks to: Marvinho Dos Santos for the images from Hohenzollern: th-cam.com/video/AuPVIHzMwNs/w-d-xo.html Also to Relax and Travel for the images from Cochem: th-cam.com/video/Fj3IrbPADS8/w-d-xo.html
My absolute favourite: Dresdner Zwinger. Just Google it. No explanation needed. AND: all palaces in Potsdam‘! The entire city is a piece of art. The most famous place there is Schloss Sanssouci (I really expected it to be included here). But within in the Park Sanssouci there’s also the massive Neues Palais, Schloss Charlottenhof, the Neue Kammern and the Orangerie! Within the city borders you can also explore Schloss Cecilienhof, Schloss Babelsberg and the Belvedere. They’re all unique. Lastly, I need to mention the Wartburg which is the venue of important events that changed German history
Just found your channel. LOVE IT! You're a great narrator, excellent camera work. You and your wife make a beautiful couple. Thanks for showing me Germany I've always wanted to see. Stuck in Texas my whole life (60 years). Going to watch more videos now. Thanks 🙂
Going to Germany for 14 days and many castles. Cochen, Hoenzollen, Lichtenstein, Eltz, Neuschwanstein, Burghausen and others. Also to visit and sleep in Bacharach and Schönburg castles. May cannot come soon enough.

Sorry, aber you serious. A list with Neuschwanstein and some other fake medieval castles but no Wartburg or Sanssouci?

Thanks for the additional tips! Yeah I've been both to Dresden and Potsdam, they have very nice palaces for sure 😉👍

Nice! Hope you enjoy it! 👍😉
I would recommend Braunfels Castle in the north of Frankfurt, which is similar to Wernigerode Castle
I've been there as well, very beautiful too! I added that one on my top 20 list 😉👍
Planning a trip in february 2025 , are most of the castles open in February ? Thanks
