Overall a very nice experience, but taking away player control for trivial tasks has to be one of the most annoying things I have ever experienced in a co-op game. I almost fought with the wife because we kept interrupting eachother's task routes. The fact that you can't access the entire camp alone and have to drag the other player with you to the edges is also bad.
5:39 sounds annoying too. I'm good with marvel ultimate alliance with a limited revive that takes time. You are right about roles too. Shouldn't be wrestling with someone for stuff in co-op
To be fair. This is a singleplayer game that theyve patched in a coop mode for free after launch. So yeah you could expect it not going to be perfect because it was designed specifically to be played in singleplayer.
This is def a great co op experience, but saying player 2 can do EVERYTHING player 1 can is down right incorrect , i wish that was the case , but some functions such as retun to cult or choosing a fleece are exclusive to player 1. I really hope they fix it since its the only things holding it back from being a perfect co op game
Luckily quote of the Lamb has a ton of accessibility options like infinite health and easy fishing and easy building. That made the game 100 times better for my lady
Thanks! Was looking for a good co op review on this one. Me too kept this game waiting for no particular reason. Time to jump in with my buddy! Keep up the content !
I waited for this video ! Me and my girlfriend already have 30 hours on it completly addicted !!!!! Although there are xouple limitation : 1. Goat can't change fleece 2. Goat hat icon missing its bloom fx 3. Goat can't "Return to Cult" 4. Goat can't ressurect / retun to cult while on a crusade . Apart from that the co op ia a full game expirince which I reccomend all to have !
Having a blast playing with my kid. Your review is accurate and fair. We definitely dont like the camera in town zooming in on one of us during dialog. I have poop to clean!
So hey there! Normally don’t really comment, but I had a quick question as I’m looking for a coop game to play with someone. Do the things you earn along the way stay with the second player? Or is it only the First player that keeps everything?
Camera movement and angles are so difficult for couch co-op that choose to not split the screen. Do you have good examples of games that do it well? I enjoyed alienation a lot. But the camera thing just made it so there was more friction than we would have liked.
Steam's Remote-Play-Together or tools like Parsec actually work really well for that kind of stuff! It takes a lot of work for developers to make decent online functionality otherwise.
Time to get a girlfriend 😂😂 JK , the developer has stated it is impossible for them to add online co op and the only way would be to build the game again from the ground up , which wont happens for obvious reasons
Yea saying this game is co-op is kinda a lie I see most everyone in these comments talking about how frustrating the camp is with actions interrupting each other and not being able to have your own camera. My wife and I are pretty hard-core gamers, and the biggest complaint we had was the input lag during the dungeons when there are more than like four enemies on the screen, your inputs will lag due to the game, not registering your controller. Now some people would say that it’s just a hardware issue I can guarantee you it is not the game has some weird quality issues with two players being on the same screen at the same time we have lost runs du to this skip I wanna call it that happens at the most unfortunate times and has led to some very frustrating deaths. Also the “Player2” can’t change out fits so just more thing that sucks. We wanna love it and at its core it’s fun but it just seems like on one at the studio actually plugged in a second controller and tested it out because I don’t know how anyone would enjoy what the co-op has to offer.
Side bar you say “the devs did their homework before putting out this update” where? Because we don’t feel like they did. 5 or so extra cards is not work it’s lazy
If you're using xbox controllers, try the xbox adapter. My previous pc something with the Bluetooth driver had some sort of bug that made my games lag sometimes while on Bluetooth weirdest thing ever....
The game is in fact a co-op title now. Saying that either I or the devs lied is a bit hyperbolic. But like you said, the camera is the biggest issue. We ended up splitting that part up and taking turns. Not at all the ideal way for it to work and that’s disappointing! But I can’t speak to the lag you’re referring to. Never had any.
@@xDeusGN There not Bluetooth. We even tested it further where one of us would spam a spell right at the beginning of a combat room and it would cause the game to freeze slightly so I wouldn’t even call it lag at this point it’s a bug. I looked further into the code and I found an actual problem with the values for what’s can be tracked on screen. Thanks for the advice, but it’s pointless. This bug is repeatable and I’ve even done it on multiple systems now.

@@MrVariant Kinda liked the heart management, once you advance far enough in the game, lives are less of an issue.
@@thelordoftime803 it's on ps plus now, so why not try? Thanks.
This is what I was looking for. Absolutely hate it not being like split screen or being able to roam alone. Ruins the point/fun in a way, IMO at least

Love the reviews ! Do you any plans on doing a Couch Co-Op best of list for us console players that want games to play with their SO ?

Yeap the cult managment is still work in progress , or at least i hope haha😅
Great info. I think you convinced me to buy this.
Pretty fun stuff, enjoying it so far.. but experienced an odd sorta glitch when it comes to the controls on PS4

Can i play this game co op on two switch lites?

Must have. 😍
Unplayable for me. The game pauses when the other player opens a menu, wtf. We couldn't play it for 2 minutes before getting extremly annoyed -.-
No online coop? Ooof
The game can’t cope as it is.
You can play only with local co-op 🤦
Good thing it’s absurdly easy to do that even across the internet 😊

@SnuggleLabes how do you do it on console? Playstation has share play but it's often really laggy

It’s literally almost impossible to do that without completely remaking the game.
