    The coed restrooms are mainly for families and people with disabilities. Please be mindful of that. As a custodial CM who works in restrooms a lot, I've seen handicapped guests wait for sometimes over 20 mins for a stall in a regular restroom so these are a hidden gem for them.
    If you're looking for restrooms with less activity, the restroom at the hungry bear restaurant, the restroom between the expo and autopia in tomorrowland and the restroom near Mickey and the magical map are your best bets. Also pay attention, sometimes a line forms when there's empty stalls. Some of the doors close so people will think there's someone in there when it's empty. Village Haus restroom in Fantasyland also has another side of stalls no one really goes to.
    Also ladies, the men's restrooms have changing tables as well, so standing in a long line for a changing station is unnecessary! There's also a whole room of changing stations in the baby station on Main Street.

      The Autopia restrooms are another top choice! And of course people should be always respectful of companion restrooms. I discovered even families and disabled visitors often didn't know where this one was, so wanted to get the information out there! -Tiff

      TheJane1138 Perhaps Thingmavlogs should make a video that introduces what Disneyland has to offer disabled people and families. Some people haven't the slightest clue what Disneyland offers, even though there's so much we do.

      I thought the same thing!! I have legitimate fears that the short line is going to become well known and I will no longer be able to snag a dole whip in 2 minutes flat. Haha.

      Thats what happened when we told people that at WDW, instead of waiting forever when the park closes for a monorail to the TTC, you can just walk to the Contemporary and get a monorail for a relatively short wait. Now there's always a super long line at the Contemporary.

    Watching everything disneyland related I can find, because I'm prepping for my first vacation (and Disney vacation) in about fifteen years this summer, and I've got to tell you... I'm stoked. Like, beyond the moon. This kind of info really helps my planning.

    I have a really good one! Clarabelle's ice cream in ToonTown (not Buena Vista Street) sells the same frozen treats as the carts around the park. However, not only are they cheaper at Clarabelle's, they also accept Annual Pass discounts. This is the cheapest way to get a Mickey Premium Bar in both parks!

      Here is a tip I haven't seen anywhere else: If the ride breaks while you're in line, stay in line. I was recently at California Adventure, and Toy Story Midway Mania broke. We were given Fastpasses that worked on any other ride, so my friend and I rushed over to Soarin'. Recently at Disneyland, they announced that the Indiana Jones ride broke. About half the people in line left, they fixed it within 10 minutes, which saved me a lot of waiting.

    Great tips, Tiff! I didn't know about the hidden bathrooms! That's so helpful when the lines are crazy long. My favorite Disneyland hack is if you want as-much-as-you-can-drink mint juleps, skip the mint julep bar and order INSIDE Cafe Orleans, because they'll keep refilling your cup as long as you're there for the price of one! Cheers!

  • @beckyfinn9259

    Most of these are awesome! The only one that I have an issue with is the second "secret" restroom location. I am a paraplegic and a full time wheelchair user as a result. Those companion bathrooms are put in place for people with disabilities and parents with babies or small children who still need help using the restoom. They are not for able bodied adults who " just want their privacy". I'm sorry but people who do this are very rude in my opinion!

    my favorite tip was if you ever do eat in the park...like at plaza inn or carnation cafe any where they have self serve soda fountains you can actually requests a to go cup for free....so if you go with somebody then you can get as many free refills and then take one more for the road...avoids having to drop any more money on soda elsewhere in the park.

    since i only visit disney world, the single stall bathrooms are so perfect if there is a bunch of people all at once during a highly crowded time during the year, it's so convenient especially for those like me whom are disabled, it's perfect option if you want privacy especially if you wanna wash your hands afterwards after using the stall. It's qiuck and easy to have.
    not showing hatred to the people population but it's also so much more from keeping from having to get someone out Ike n the big bathrooms with the disabled one at the end of the bathroom trying to sneak and use that stall just to be cruel.
    these are some really interesting hacks👍🏽

    • @Mickey784cr
      @Mickey784cr 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't think anyone's sneaking around to use the big stalls just to be cruel. Sometimes it's the only one open or maybe sometime just needs a little extra room. Being disabled doesn't make anyone exempt from waiting in for the bathroom.

    • @dana-n5q3h
      @dana-n5q3h 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Mickey784cr you wanna know something, i do not come message boards to read your type of persons hatred, i would advice you to show a little more respect. yah disabled people are the ones that need a little more room. i know what i meant by saying what i said, get your broomstick and fly back west you wicked witch of the west. DON'T EVEN THINK OF RESPONDING BACK!👿 i said what i said so you shouldn't of responded to what i said, SO RESPECT!🖕🏼

    The Dole Whip hack is everything.

  • @seriousblond007
    @seriousblond007 8 ปีที่แล้ว +72

    Though I find these hack videos as helpful as everyone else it does bug me that she pointed out the companion restroom as an option to avoid the longer lines in other bathrooms. Those aren't meant for you to have your privacy. They're meant for people who have wheelchairs and special needs that need physical assistance from their family member or friend in the restroom and they can't necessarily fit inside the typical restroom stalls. By pointing it out to the general public and making it known now it won't be as accessible for those that really need the big one stall bathroom. Hence why it's called the "Companion Restroom" and not the "Privacy Restroom." It has a specific and important purpose that I think most people forget.

    • @DJUncleK808
      @DJUncleK808 8 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Thank you! I was just about to point this out. I'm in a wheelchair and my wife prefers not to go into the men's restroom with me when possible (I won't ever go into the women's restroom with her just to avoid any possible discomfort of young girls who might be in there), so we always seek out the family/companion restrooms first. It drives us crazy to have waited for someone to get out of the restroom only to find out it was someone who didn't need it.

      Kevin Berg But how do you know for certain that a stranger to you did not need it?

    • @needtoknow1989
      @needtoknow1989 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes and it’s usually very clear when a person exits that doesn’t need it. Most evident they are unaccompanied and have no mobility device. If you can go on your own you can go in a regular stall, if it’s just the wheelchair. You can use a disability stall. My mom didn’t need a restroom for a toilet she needed one to be changed. It was impossible to get things done even in a disabled stall. We could recline her chair so it was pretty much a bed. But even in disability stalls the toilet and door were in the way. Hence why we used companion bathrooms. When you see someone feel shame in themselves because they couldn’t control their bladder and is now sitting in it because someone wanted to use the private bathroom. That’s when you realize how much freedom, dignity and comfort these bathrooms provide.

    I also have a hack too! Instead of waiting FOREVER in the storybook ride lines (small world, alice in wonderland, Peter Pan, mr toads wild ride, etc) go at night! Most of the people that want to go on the storybook rides are little kids, and most of them will be gone at night, so the lines are so much shorter. 😁

    I thought my family was the only one who did the 5% savings at target!
    It decently helps especially if you go to disneyland as often as we do, the savings adds up after time!

    I really liked learning about the companion bathroom because I’m disabled and need my husbands help sometimes in the restroom. Would love to see more disability hacks!

    Also on pirates of the carribbean, the right side line actually moves quicker. Ive tested it so many times and u get on the ride maybe 5 to even 10 minutes earlier!
