Yes, with germanium fuzz I only put power supply option if requested. That way I avoid problems with bad filtering and noises and to someone trying to daisy chain the power with center negative pedals (the majority) and fry something inside.
In any case when you disconnect the input jack, the battery stops consuming and it will last for almost one year with no problem
