Great concept. I love that you take on all these projects and that you are content with them not being 100% the same as before. I get too hung up on fixing things so they are exactly the same as when I bought them. Which oftentimes leads to me not fixing the broken object. I love that you have embraced fixing the items as best you can as it keeps them out of the trash. Good luck. Best wishes from Los Angeles.
Yes, in our NGO we believe that making the repair visible really promotes the idea of fixing, it is bit similar to this Japanese concept of wabi sabi where broken clay pots are fixed with gold (goldened tree sap) - embracing the brokenness and bringing it to light and so adding an value to the pot. Thanks for watching :)
anyone else come from a reddit post again? :p I like you, you funny! and I enjoy seeing the wacky way you fix things, keeping creating fun things :) From UK
Oh I can relate to the law of universe that things break if you are able to repair them :D Good video, fun storytelling. Watch over that pot handle though, I wouldn't expect printable plastic (especially PLA) to hold up to any heat.
had loads of fun watching this, will continue to investigate into immortal Jiri's background
