The Opry stage has had comedians, gospel, r & b and many things other than country music on its stage. You may not like this song, but it IS a country song that was played on country radio. Just like their song Happy Anywhere that sounds more traditional country/bluegrass. It has a banjo and steel pedal guitar in that one.
I truly believe Blake and Gwen are my generations Jonny and June. I love seeing these two wonderful people sharing their lives with us.

I thought she looked heavier as well. The outfit fit very poorly--perhaps intended that way? Her legs looked heavier. But It looked like she had on white leggings which weren't flattering. Not like she's heavy, since she was so thin normally. Perhaps it's the COVID 20lbs a lot of people have gained.
She's wearing a boxy wrap dress with gathering, and she's cutting her legs in an awkward place with those boots which makes them look shorter. Plus those tights are reflecting light. Just not a flattering look

Boots with that height make legs appear shorter (and therefore thicker) because they create a visual cut-off point. In other recent pics her legs look slim and toned, stomach too.

Then I guess you haven’t been to the Opry lately. I was there Saturday night and they made you watch a preshow film that bragged about all the diverse non country performers that had performed on the Opry stage. They showed Pharrell, Steve Martin and others. The Opry is clearly pushing diversity to expand its popularity and not let it die.
Gwen sang on 2 #1 hit country radio songs. She performed those 2 songs on the Opry stage with her husband the featured performer and a country singer. I think that more than justifies her being there. The Opry clearly thinks so too.

Blake and Gwen are actually just a PR couple who love getting some extra attention, status, fans, and income by pretending to be a musical power couple from two different backgrounds and genres. They also happen to thrive on racking up extra attention, admiring fans, and awards in exchange for traveling all over the country while singing love songs, and, pawing and groping each other on numerous concert stages and for various TV shows. I'm sure they love each other as friends and fellow performers. But they are not 'in love,' in a romantic/sexual relationship, nor legally married. FYI, they had their mutual friend and fellow "The Voice" cast mate Carson perform a fake ceremony for them in the middle of nowhere in OK before a very small crowd. Rather than having a real, practicing priest perform an actual binding, Catholic Church recognized one, in a Catholic Church before a larger group of witnesses. Because, Carson is just as vested as they are in the success of The Voice, and has been in on their PR farce from the very start.

The point I was trying to make was, when all of the circumstances of who and how their unconventional wedding ceremony was officiated, who attended, and where it was held are all put together, it points to it being a phony PR wedding ceremony. Especially since they went over and above early on in leading everyone to believe they weren't getting married earlier on because Gwen took her religion and wedding vows very seriously. And she wanted to wait and make sure everything happened in accordance with Catholicism beliefs and regulations in order for her union/marriage to be officially recognition by the church. Then in the end, they broke several official rules held near and dear by Catholicism and devout Catholics. Their words and actions simply don't add up.

It’s called singing with passion. They are feeling their love and commitment to one another. I’d much rather see and hear a live performance sung with emotion rather than one that was technically perfect but boring. You can listen to the recording if you want technically perfect.

Gwen is just not the best singer😂 in my opinion at least lol. Some people clearly like her, I just think she has a very specific type of voice, that does not sound good especially with duets. Not too mention with a different genre

She has been around and popular for 30 years. Nobody looks the same in 30 years. There are several different makeup options. Hair, makeup and styles have all changed. Also, there is performance makeup. When she is performing or on the Voice her makeup is more pronounced. When she is not performing she wears little to no makeup.
I think she has no place there just because Blake is that doesn’t give her a free pass . And don’t know what in the world he sees in her !!!!!

She has a connection to country radio because she was on 2 hit country songs. Wendy Moten did r & b songs on the Opry stage Sat night. Natalie Grant did gospel songs. None of that is country radio. Like I said in an earlier comment, the Opry shows a film before you listen to the show. In the film they brag about the diversity of all of the non country artists that have been on their stage and show Pharrell, Steve Martin and others. Clearly the Opry is pushing for musical diversity to expand their audience. Unlike some of the performers featured in the Opry’s film, Gwen has actually been on country radio.
If she’s been played on country radio and sang on 2 country songs, why can’t she sing those songs on the Opry stage?

Gwen is not country at all. He goes through relationship alot and he broke Miranda's heart. They were both cheating on there spouses. There aren't gonna last because when you cheat and lie Karma will do the rest
Miranda has a much more fulfilling and happy home, family, and inner circle life now that she is with Brendan. She is also so much more relaxed and confident about herself and her natural talents and abilities now too. Blake having continually made her the butt of his jokes, cheating on her, and initiating the divorce, coupled with all the mess and assumptions surrounding their divorce has helped make her a stronger yet more humbled person. Blake seems to need to be needed and worshiped, a supporting role that Gwen fills quite nicely for him. As for karma, we'll just have to wait and see how it's gonna play out for them.
Blake has had 3 relationships. Kaynette, Miranda, and Gwen. Both of his divorces were due to Miranda chasing married men. She chased Blake until she broke up his first marriage to Kay. Miranda then had an ongoing affair with her married tour manager Ryan Westbrook that caused Blake to divorce her. After Blake, she broke up Evan Felker’s marriage. His wife Stacy broke that to the media. Miranda took up with her current husband Brendan while he was living with his baby mama and one month old son. Listen to Miranda’s tell-all divorce song “Vice” where she writes about her addictions to alcohol and sleeping around. Miranda has been married to him for 4 years now. Hopefully she’s settled down like her song says. Blake’s only mistake was getting involved with Miranda in the first place. He paid the price with a broken heart and got his karma then when she cheated on him with another married man, Ryan.
Blake and Gwen have been happy for 7 years with no signs of trouble. Everyone moved on a long time ago. Be happy for all of them.

I never said Miranda hasn't made some poor choices along the way. You know, like being a young and naive woman who foolishly put her trust and faith in, and also fell in love with an older and condescending man who was more experienced and powerful in the entertainment industry than she was. What I did say though, is that she's much better off now that her very toxic relationship with Blake is FAR in her past. Clearly you are a hater or troll. I was there in person at the Opry Saturday night, and it sounded great. They got a standing ovation. They performed both of their duets which both reached #1 on country radio and both sold platinum (over 2 million copies), so clearly a large number of people don’t agree with your assessment.
As far as their personal life goes, you are not privy to that. They’ve been together for 7 years with no signs of trouble and seem happier than ever.

Gwen was signed in 2014 to be a Voice coach based on a 25 year career being a superstar in the music business. She didn’t even know who Blake was back then. She has won 3 Grammys (Blake has none). She’s sold over 50 million records (more than Blake and Miranda combined). She’s had a 30 year career first as the lead singer of a rock band and then as a successful pop singer. That’s why she is a coach on the Voice. Blake is great, but he has nothing to do with her success or why she was signed as a coach on the Voice.
