This song depicts a world in need of water..and two lovers meeting..one being the bare bone need for clean water (You) and the other the performer (Me) who wants to be lost in the waters of love and devotion with you...It represents falling in love after a very tough trial period in life (time) and finding contentment in the smallest things (Space) next to the biggest things(World)...So, being able to be content in a lake with you when we have an entire ocean near us is the epitome of true happiness in our relationship...It is about our vast unfettered love deeply connected to the intimacy we are able to share with another after a time of great struggle and betrayal and senseless conflict...It’s an expression of cleansing and escape, a spiritually washing away of the past and joining forces in love with the beauty of romance, nature and the earth to persevere in our togetherness...Then ultimately being able to take the pursuit of the relationship to the next level by having the courage to meet in the world of the ocean....securing the ever flowing love we have for one another.

great to hear a masterclass musician/celeb talking real and publicly having a moral compass. I'm not black(btw) and he just testifies to the fact that race is shallow waters. When doing something in the way of his musical art, you have to pay tribute to the past but also push to the future and make it you're own. His music transcends.

Jut saw Maxwell in concert on Sunday night at the Borgata in Atlantic City and I'm telling you guys, if you have the opportunity, go see him in concert!! Don't cheat yourself but treat yourself!! We had VIP tickets which included the meet and greet with him an seats up front. Humble and gracious brutha!! There was about 40 people with the VIP package/Meet and Greet and he stopped, hugged and spoke with EVERY last one of us and then took professional pics!! He is well worth the price of the VIP ticket. I did my best not to fan out but when he hugged me and told me that I smelled good? I was done!! lol. Not washing that outfit that I had on for a while. lol. What I was shocked and amused by though is a large portion of his following are Seasoned Queens!! Lots of 65+ aged women of all races there. Some by themselves and some having a girls night out. Beautiful to witness that his music and fineness touches ALL!!

I have a problem with this interviewer!! she's not deep?? IT'S a slap in the face of who understands the artist and wish that he could be appreciated fully by having someone that is knowledgeable and can take the interview to the next level. this isn't a teenie bopper...he never was as an artist. maybe they should've chose a more applicable interviewer that can flow with the man better. TO BE AN INTERVIEWER IS A POWERFUL POSITION. that person can be the translator to the audience and also the one to delve deeper into the interview to get even MORE info and additional perspectives. this man deserves that type of treatment. he's an icon with a heart and can offer a spiritual perspective to those who do not readily understand. that's where the interviewer comes into play. she dropped the ball!!! it's like the saying...a dog running after a fire truck...when the truck stops, can the dog drive it? regardless I do appreciate what was caught in the interview and his perspective in music and the heart and emotions in his music. his writing reminds me of how I write. peace to the god.

Many modern day blacks who live in America have Irish ancestry, are descendants from freed or enslaved Africans in Ireland. More than likely he has Irish ancestry . like myself.
