One delivery does NOT raise your AR by 1%. However, it seems like 1 decline will lower your AR by 1%

I’ve been Platinum since the tier system began. Dashing 5 days a week typically from 11AM - 9/10PM and have yet to see a single large order. I even bought a DD cater bag because they said the one I already owned didn’t qualify.
I'm in Seattle area and make platinum driver every month. I have 90% acceptance rate and 100% completion et ceterand I still get the majority of my orders 2 and 4 dollar runs, although they're short, they don't pay anything. But I take them because I need that ability to dash anytime.I've been doing this for 4 years and for the last 6 months.It's almost impossible to make a hundred dollars a day
how many miles for a day ? If a lot, 50k miles for a year? And 4 years to change another car?

I do 18 hours every weekend Friday Saturday and Sunday. I can crank out about $50 on Friday and on Saturday and Sunday I can make about $105-$140 per day. Plus I pretty much accept everything lol. So on low end I’ll make $220-high end $350
I actually did a shop and deliver that had dashmart as the customer. The tip was a surpising $18 with a $11 base for 30 items and 4 miles most were at least 5 count of the same thing
I stopped dashing a year ago as you cannot dash whenever you’d like UNLESS you were a “top tier” dasher. I’ve been working Spark ever since, which pays more anyway, and I can Spark anytime I’d like.
After watching your videos and in my own experience doing this for over a year, there really is no value in trying to increase my AR in the markets I work in. Maybe in a high income market, but not in central Maryland or anywhere near Baltimore. I cherry pick and almost always average $20 per hr and it doesn't seem to matter if my AR is 10, 20, or 30%. Sometimes more miles than I'd like, but the hourly wage is what matters most right now.
Heres what DD doesnt tell you mike, if you want the 100 dollar catering order bangers you need atleast 200 deliveries a month, I learned that from bull city dasher If my recall is right. I get a catering order almost everyday to where it makes delivered that look weak! I had a catering order last friday paying 67 dollars and did two orders after that making 80 that hr
I became a Top Dasher with Platinum Status about a month ago, but I have never got a catering order. No use that I bought a catering bag.
Use it on DeliverThat and Dlivrd too. Catering can be fantastic runs

I live in South Bay LA,we have too many Platinum drivers here that I hardly get high paying orders. Most of my high paying orders are crappy few miles with $6-8 not more than $10 up and I don't think there's no such a large order catering program anymore. A lot of platinum drivers here told me the same thing. According to my experience throughout the new Dasher program is scammed. I got through silver to platinum status step by step but there's no significant change between silver,gold and platinum The offering that I have received were mostly the same crappy one. There's an issue for many (myself included and i have picture proof) where when everytime I lose 70% and Platinum I lose my ability to schedule for my zone bc it disappears from the screen once I go back to 69%. It's happened 3x where I've regained Platinum with ability to schedule for my zone and as soon as I get back down to 69% it disappears. DD higher up support admitted its a real issue after about a month and have a case open but who knows anything will happen..

My brother, let me explain to you, once you lose the platinum level by dropping 69% you have to schedule and when you close the block you can only schedule for 6 days, that's how it works, but I'll give you a piece of information; In some cities it allows you to schedule at 12:00 am, try maybe it works in your area
a piece of advice if you are in the block working and you lost the platinum level, before closing the block oh before starting to work try to schedule taking advantage of the fact that when you are platinum you have the benefit of scheduling the entire schedule
@elsenseideldelivery bro I appreciate but u sound just like support not understanding the real issue, I lose the ability to schedule for any day or any time as my zone disappears once I lose Platinum
@elsenseideldelivery that's exactly what I did my dude I was schedule once I had the platinum bc I know the ability would disappear as soon as I lost it which it did...unfortunately my last scheduled day was yesterday and I'm at 57% AR at the moment due to a bunch of bs offers and bs "rolling 100" which is never accurate so I can only dash when busy now unfortunately
Random thing I’ve noticed, if (until preferences update) you want only package , food, or retail delivery by time but rewards don’t affect it at all. It will get you volume but mostly base pay.
If you have shop and deliver turned off, th eapp knows it, and you get the food orders before the people who are accepting shop and pay. you get preferance to regular orders. My door dash life has been so amazing after turning off shop and pay orders.

The new Dasher Rewards program has not been introduced in my city, but it is a hot mess in adjacent areas. For example, dashers have descended on my city like a pack of locusts due to the inability to schedule within their normal base area. These are PLATINUM dashers and have some of the highest metrics I've seen. In addition to not being able to schedule in their area, they no longer have a DASH NOW button. I called support and asked why they have no access to DASH NOW and are unable to schedule since these are benefits of being a Platinum dasher. The response was that their respective areas have a large number of Platinum dashers and DD had to remove the DASH NOW button and limit scheduling. The program is a farce. People are building their acceptance rates based on the promised benefits. Like these other Dashers, my metrics are high and I would qualify for Platinum status, but what is the point if I cannot dash when I want or get a schedule? How can anyone maintain a consistent Platinum level if they are unable to catch a shift or pop on when they need/want?
It's insane that that many dashers have platinum status. I'm always amazed at dashers here that have %70+ ARs. They have to be taking a lot of horrible orders. Most of them have Top Dasher just so they can dash any time. What you are talking about here sounds like a big mess. How did DD not see this coming? Unforeseen consequences of the Tier program.
@@nocturnus6 I cannot blame people for seeking out areas where they use the DASH NOW feature, but I do blame DoorDash for falsely claiming that the DASH NOW feature is a benefit of being a Platinum Dasher. It's false advertising and a way of forcing Dashers to accept jobs they would prefer not to do. Most Top Dashers in my town have a higher AR as delivery distances are all fairly short...and customers tip....so we weren't too worried about the criteria for the new rewards program if/when it is finally implemented here...now it appears that the program is a complete unmanageable disaster. We will be struggling to receive enough work to make dashing worthwhile if DD doesn't correct the problems.

If an accept rolls off the bottom that would leave you with minuses pending to roll off. your ststus will not go up if you roll off accepts.

Hey Mike! So I’ve been doing more testing of delivery by order versus deliver by time… I feel like almost every shop and deliver order is, in the eyes of DoorDash, a high paying since all they look at is dollars per mile. I also feel like delivered by time doesn’t take in account the new Dasher rewards program. I know in the past it did that by time would not recognize any of the programs in place for top Dasher for example. I plan on a 12 hour shift on EBT Wednesday. Say a prayer for me! 🤪🙏

The estimated delivery time is not accurate the majority of the time! The Dasher app was acting up really bad today for me! I had time to accept, deliver and fully complete 6 orders today total and my "Completion Rate" went down?!?! How does that make sense!?!?

If they make you wait for "bad" orders, you'll be more likely to accept. So I imagine there will be more of this in the future.
Also, after completing a decent offer, I notice I'll then get a string of bad offers - - nearly every time. I mean, I almost never see maybe 3 good/very good offers to accept in a row.
I don’t think ANY of us drivers will EVER understand the algorithm. The other day. I accepted at least 10 orders and AR DID BOT CHANGE AT ALL. But I declined one and AR IMMEDIATELY dropped 1%
This happens to me all the time!🙄 One day recently, I was at 76% AR. After 2 order refusals, my AR dropped to 72, then after 1 more refusal, it dropped to 69%! (How does that math work??)
At 69%, it took several order acceptances to get back to 70%! So frustrating! And I think I got just as many crappy orders when I was above 70% as I did when I was below.
Wondering if 100 dashes ago you accepted a stacked order. Since back then it counted as two accepts maybe they both rolled off at once? I wouldn't doubt doordash is doing something screwy like counting the last 100 offers as the rolling 100 for when they roll off but counting the stacks separately for your AR.
This is exactly what happened to me last week. Early morning high pay short run stuff but as soon as more ppl got on the orders started sucking.

Another issue with dd tier system. The app no longer lets me dash in my home area and randomly tells me that I have earned top dasher. Top dasher is not a feature in my tier area. 🤦🏼♂️

I had one time I accepted 3 orders in a row, but I'm pretty sure my rating went down one point. I'm guessing it was because I had a lot of declines in a row at one point that were still on there even with some being replaced.
Actually 1 don't always count going up. A declined offer mist fall off for you rate to up.
I think the computation and alerts are one delivery behind
Perhaps, something was going on bc it said Gold then somehow Silver after accepting an offer. Unless then was an offer I had completely forgot about inbetween

On side note inmy market there are always slots available so I don't even need high tier, just hopping zones and I can dash now by scheduling from now till whenever I want.
Was at 48% AR trying to get to 50%, ended up with 46% just because some orders are really low pay... currently driving for 2 weeks only averaging $20.67 per hour with 2 apps.

@Mike you clearly are misunderstanding the criteria for Gold status.
You can’t just go back and forth between Silver and Gold. We need you to maintain Gold status for several orders.
In otherwords you can’t decline and go to 69% and then bounce back to 70% and be rewarded with Gold. You need more than just the percentage.
Per DoorDash, “Once you qualify, your new eligible rewards will be unlocked and will remain active as long as your ratings stay within the requirements for your level. Some rewards will take up to 24-48 hours and may require equipment approval to activate.”
Two things, it says once you qualify your rewards will be unlocked as long as you keep the metrics which I did. Yes it says some rewards may take 24-48 hours but I believe that’s mainly for unlocking catering as they need time to verify the bag.
Later on the same support page it says if you fall below get your metrics back up to qualify. I haven’t seen it say you need to hit, then maintain, the metrics for any amount of time/offers.
Shop and pay in my market are the best orders because you don’t have to wait at a restaurant for 20+ minutes and they typically pay better.
Glad it’s working out. I like the lesser stress of having it on them (restaurant) vs me in so far as shopping.

I used to have that attitude but now it seems the shopping orders are showing lower and lower pay outs. Too many customers now are feeling entitled and either not tipping or tipping very low. This is especially true with the ten thousand Dollar General offers I get, but often with your standard grocery store as well. The DD app needs to be suggesting bigger tips so the lazy customers can just randomly choose one of them (hopefully the highest suggestion!).
I like the shop and pays better myself and they do pay better. I can also use my rewards accounts in the store to give the customers a discount too.
Naw it is over for door dash to many NEW people in the nation who will do anything to make money driving the wages down !
Sunday for me has always been prime. I am at 93 acceptance 99.5% customer rating and 98% completion rate. My experience... I get good runs. However, I get b******* runs too. Sorry, $5 for 15 mi is not going to cut it. Doordash.
I am platinum and monday I get an order 8.7 miles $4. I am like really. That was my first one decline. AR 80.

6:37 It's probably a rounding issue. Think of it like you were 69.6%, which rounds up to 70%, and then you dropped to 69.4%, which rounds down to 69%
Each order is worth one percent and the total is out of 100% so how could you have a fractional percentage?

I Dash 11a - 4p, then 5p - 8p. I'm making $50 more per day at 23% than I did at 73%

Shop and deliver is a waste of time. You can put down you lost your red card and don’t activate new card. Then you are not in shop in order no longer it saved me from all the crappy orders.
LOL forget about Gold if u going to cherry pick $15 order that 5 Miles away or a $12 one that 3 miles lol.. just stick with Silver at the end the tear is only few dollars or miles off any ways.

Is your completion rate at 95%? Both Gold and Platinum require 95%.

I love how you guys are accepting every bad order and I cherry-pick at 10% AR and get decent orders because no one else is available to take it. If you're not constantly making 30 plus an hour than it's not worth having a high AR. You can just schedule your dashes so the Dash Now perk means nothing. You're being played like a fiddle.
Still Diamond Program here, my AR is %30, still able to schedule. Some dashers in the Tier program are unable to schedule without at least Silver level. I hope I can still schedule at midnight when the Tier program comes here, I will continue to cherry pick with a low AR.
