Saw this little tour at bogarts in Cincinnati that year! Opened my eyes. They invited us onto the bus and signed the set list. I was 16! What a memory.
Was going to AIM and tsking lessons from Jimmy H in 90 91. He always told us when the gigs were, when he had to miss classes for tour etc. What a band, and wonderful times, good guys all of them.
So fun to see this. I mixed a show with them at The Fly Me to the Moon Saloon in Telluride around this time. Herring was the first guitar player to ever ask me (as engineer) if he should turn down. Lol. How I appreciated being asked! Small club. The audio is on line somewhere.
Hey man, hey from south carolina. I was living in T-ride at the time. We took a little TRIP from O'bannons to the fly me. See ,and git our groove on. What a time we had. On top of the world with the Colonel and ARU. Damn SMOKIN!!
This brings back vague recollections. Seems like the Col. lived at Georgia Theater. I very well could have been at this concert. He was there so much during this period? I wonder if any of the clips have any video of Roosevelt dancing. Seems like the Col. would invite him up on stage and let him dance on stage when the Col was playing.
Other bass is Kofi I believe. Matt M is so awesome. He influenced Jimmy H alot who is top guitarist on my list if I had one. I remember seeing them in CHS SC around this time with Jimmy playing that black strat. My favorite band, thanks!
This is one of the many ARU shows I videotaped back in the day. It's so great to find it here!
Ron Currens so glad you did. not sure if i met you but i attended a few this year. thank you break out some of your clips and share please
I own that white bass! Oteil gave it to me in 1994

Is that the same Roosevelt that was a cedar shoals security guard and door security at The Mad Hatter during the 80s?
thanks for putting a smile on my face
I agree, it is nice to see this old footage. And the answer to your question is Charles Pettaway... He still plays but mostly produces now.
I have been looking for video footage of them back then ever since my brother-in-law introduced me to their music. Awesome!!!! Thanks.
