I’ve fished for 40 years at Sebastian and enjoy other spots for snook. The main reason being the release of the snook. On that strong whipping outgoing tide it’s always going to a bit to get in your 35” plus snook. Dropping them in from that height is almost guaranteeing a quick shark death. The noise couple w the shock=stunned slow moving snook. My girlfriend actually had an idea (I’ve never used drop nets - usually fish the south side - wading) could you put the snook back down in the net and let it swim out? No good way to release a snook from the north jetty
Woulda been good to spend a bit talking about what you're using, how deep you're fishing it, how you're retrieving it. Not much reason to wat h some random video of a guy reelingin fish.
Yayyy more Sebastian Inlet Exposure, just what Brevard county needs, more people fishing. Booo
Just for a dumb video ruins all the hard work Nd time people actually put in to fish here
That and the poor releases on the fish.. i counted 2 dead snook in this video

U said it with bridge net
Yep cringey when people throw slabs off and think they're fine
That was a fun day
Ole C&B for the win
My dawg Drag out there 👍🏿
I'd say you did pretty good with a jig. What model Diawa was that you were using? Thanks for sharing
bg
Nothing better than jigging
Sebastian Inlet is way too hectic. I’m glad we have Montauk. There’s way more order and respect here.
you should go over the lures u used
Nice Snook!
great video
What size reel do you recommend? 8000? On a med heavy? Or heavy?
You ever fish in grant Ryan?
What setup you using?
What ounce jig were u throwing?
I’m going to Sebastian’s tomorrow, does anybody know any bait shops nearby for live shrimp?

What size rod do you recommend for Snook?
What was your set up here
What kind of rod is that
It’s a custom 9ft rod
What reel is that?
Daiwa BG 5K
What kind of braid line you have on that reel
40lb beyond braid
No respect for the snook fishery. Takes an extra 30 seconds to lower him into the net and release a safe way.
He probably didn’t know
Dump that jig fishing for snook, stick with live bait and circle hooks. It helps to avoid gut hooking them and promotes a healthy release. No bueno
