    If you don't see Frequency or Region in your script, it probably means you previously selected a Region, and now the radio is locked to that region. Here is how to unlock it team-blacksheep.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/4000099976-region-crossfire-locked-no-frequency-selection-and-limited-power-selection-under-general-menu

    *Thanks Joshua* Just received my new *TBS Tango 2 Pro* and was going over my settings (was incorrect 868 MHz). Just updated to correct Frequency Band (915mHz -USA)...so thx! Also, for anyone else who may read this. Some things have changed with the newest firmware *VS 6.14* . The menu layout changed just a bit. Impossible to keep up with all this stuff I know; SEE BELOW

    • @SwainixFPV

      Also from CE, did you have to get a permit or is your drone under 250g ? xD

    • @daensch

      @@SwainixFPV currently I’ve no drone and I ordered only a tiny whoop (mobula6hd) but I passed the eu permission (A1/A3) twice in two different country’s 😅. It’s not that difficult and for free, so I really recommend doing it to get to know why they made up this regulations. As long as you avoid people and don’t distract any aircrafts, everything is good. Only the Spotter regulation sucks.

    • @SwainixFPV
      @SwainixFPV 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@daensch yeah I just fly with no spotter in an open grass area, also got the A1/A3 permission, but if you fly only a tiny whoop you don't need it right ? I passed it only bc I built a 5''. The only problem is that this area is within a no fly area due to an airport near by, but I fly low to the ground and I've seen a few police cars go by and they never stopped, as well as other kids flying rc airplanes there so I think I'm safe.

    • @daensch
      @daensch 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SwainixFPV thats a pitty, but you should really go somewhere else when you do FPV instead of VLOS. the rules were made up to avoid damage or harming people, even if it’s not the pilots fault.
      Is there an open Field nearby?
      My plan is to train myself with the tiny whoop until I go 5“ or 3“ (250g) but the weight doesn’t matter up to 900g when you are far away from people or restricted areas. So good luck and happy training, im pretty excited when I got mine 😁😁😁

    • @SwainixFPV
      @SwainixFPV 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@daensch Yeah the open field is where I go but everywhere in a 25km radius is a nofly zone sooo xD. I also look out I'm actively avoiding the few people letting their dogs out.
      I would advise to train on the sim as well, a tinywhoop flies pretty different from a 3'' or 5''

    Thx - sure enough - mine was running at 868mhz. So I switched it to 915mhz. Flew some of the same flight paths I'd flown before - and no more RSSI warnings - went further even, than before. And the logs are cleaner too. Much cleaner.

    I bought a TBS crossfire micro TX for a Jumper T-Light and had really short range to the point i just thought it was the Jumper since everybody is saying it doesn't play well with crossfire so I removed the crossfire. I just watched this video, ran out to check the micro TX and it came with the 868 MHz. I changed it to 915 and wow!! What a difference. Now I can use it and not failsafe 100 feet away.

    This is quite an interesting subject and very relevant in my opinion. I've had my Micro V1 for about 1.5 years now, and since day one it was on the wrong frequency until I watched this. My unit was factory locked so it was not showing in the TBS Agent which frequency it uses, and I just assumed it's automatically set correctly by the local shop since there was no way to change it from my point of view. My LQ was always low, and I had no idea why, until now... To be fair, I have had only one failsafe since I started using CRSF and it was at a mere 300 meters. I've done close to 2KM even while I was using the wrong frequency but I am yet to test how the signal holds up now that it has changed.
    I definitely learned a lot today. Thanks, Joshua!

Not sure if I have something set wrong but worried about low link quality and rubbish rssi when only a few hundred meters out (in UK countryside). Am on the correct frequency and have set to max power. Am getting telemetry lost warnings around 250m away in a seemingly clean noise environment. Both rssi and lq drop.

    Dude!!! This is a "Gonna learn something" moment. My Tango was shipped 868 and while I knew no better until today, and I learned something.
    I was out with the Venom AND Firefly (hexa stuff). Usually my FRSKY was the one to fly around the house or outside, short distance. Well, lemme tell ya, took the Venom outside, lots of housing, cell phones, wifi and stuff. Thanks goodness I had *warnings* set up. Still had video but the Venom had issues turning around. Acted like it was drunk for 5 second or less. Manage to get it back.
    Firefly up next! Took it to a small park, did a better but not by much. It also did some crazy stuff. But it only acted weird near some security cameras set up by the HOA.
    Came back home, keep in mind, I tested both within 30 min of each other. So, I said WTF! I jumped on the Bardwell site...."I sure as shit did learn something and fixed both immediately." Thanks my homie, it is dark now and gonna rain, testing will have to wait.

    I've got a TangoII Pro that's set properly, and still suffers from short range intermediate failsafes. It blips in and out, ultimately causing a crash. I don't have this issue on my full size crossfire setup. I've gone through and tried updating, and downgrading my TangoII Crossfire micro TX, and Freedom TX, and the mhz settings are correct too, all still to no avail. I like the form factor of the Tango II, but I don't care for all the random issues I've had with it. If I have it placed anywhere near metal with a magnetic force, or anything of the like, the hall gimbals will go batshit crazy. The battery voltage reads whatever it feels like, and these issues have been the prevalent throughout the old and new main boards.

    Joshua, can you please please help me? My air unit lost its bind to the goggles and now won’t connect to Assistant. I’ve tried holding the bind button on startup but nothing. It’s BRICKED. Please help

      Assuming input voltage is good (9v or higher), I would just have to contact DJI support and see if it is covered under warranty.

    I can verify this. Broke the arm on a brand new 4-in. Thankfully I was over grass.

    Hello, my friend, can you run two crossfires at the same time with two different planes, if so how to set it please? Thank you.

    • @JoshuaBardwell

      You can do that just by binding two receivers. They will both work. But it will be hard to control the plane's.

    All FrSky transmitters are EU(LBT) in Europe, (or should be), and we still have telemetry.

    Please do not forget:
    Cell phone providers can locate devices quite accurately with their own system via triangulation. This also includes sources of interference in the cellular network. All within seconds.
    I heard some time ago that there have allegedly already been cases of high fines. (This is said to have happened here in Germany. Here the frequency bands are exactly the other way around, so 915Mhz is NOT allowed here)
    A higher transmission power is not nearly as bad as an incorrect frequency band. Higher transmission power may interfere with other private radio systems, i.e. you may annoy others, but the risk of being caught is relatively low. With a frequency band that interferes with the cell phone network, or even worse, other radio systems such as radar, aircraft radio, etc., the authorities are unfortunately no longer amused.

    Oh, thanks for this! I put it in the 868CE setting without thinking about it (I'm in the EU) and I do have telemetry, so i don't know what's the difference. I'm gonna need to dig a bit deeper!

    Wonder if this is why there's been several videos lately with random failsafes. Seems odd that a device would ship with the wrong settings for the region it was sold in, but i guess maybe depends on where it was imported from.

      They don't make different SKU for different regions. It's a business decision.

    I learned this the hard way when I first got my Tango2. Luckily I was over an open grass field.

    Joshua, I'm traveling to Italy this weekend. I need to set it 868mhz. Is this enought for penetration in door flights? I dont need a fail safe

    so if I have more than one quad with TBS RX, and I don't want to rebind them all, I have to power them all when I make the change of frequency ?

    • @JoshuaBardwell
      @JoshuaBardwell  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not a big deal to rebind them. Just put the module into binding mode then power up the RX. It should auto-detect without having to push the button (but not 100%).

      @@JoshuaBardwell .. that's right .. I have seen your youtube video for binding the Rx without pushing any button .. that worked for my quads

    Under the Max Power setting it has 1W but I thought the Tango 2 could only go up to 500mW?

    • @JoshuaBardwell
      @JoshuaBardwell  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tango 2 can only go up to 500 mW that is correct.
