He is kind of like The hair, Dylan, the wardrobe, Freddi Mercury, the moves, kind of Jagger. the voice, he could win on the Voice, but also Getty Lee. When we first heard them on the radio, we thought it was a new Rush song, NOT !.
He is the one of if not the best young singer of our time. The sheer range that is only beaten by Mike Patton. Stunning to me as our modern music relies more on pitch correction and autotune than actual vocal talent.

They seriously have. I saw them live Sept '18, Jan '19, and Oct '19. Even the few months between Sept and Jan, their improvement was noticable. Then october blew me away. I guess touring nonstop you get a lot of practice!🧡

Music does heal. My mood at work has improved tremendously…I hear them all 12 hours of my midnight nursing shift (in my ear). I’m 63..music is transcendental and multi-demential. I so wish I was a part of their generation cuz I’d have more years to experience future creations.

So nice to find a Young Band like this that really rocks. Plays excellent music and has a fantastic vocalist. Get tired of running across new bands making music that sounds pretty decent but ruin it by having someone growling like a wild animal and calling it vocals

Ok, we’ll find any band that has written something as good as Zep, then talk to me. The problem with this is that everybody compares new music with Zeppelin or the Beatles or the Stones......obviously there’s no comparison. Also, their albums aren’t long drawn out jams, that’s their live show. At least they’re really playing and not lip syncing....

62 years old. grew up on Led Zep, Stones, Aerosmith. Will love 'em all to death. I didn't think this day (GVF, and my discovery of them) would ever come again. These young men are, by far, the most inspiring, captivating, and talented rock group that I've seen in decades.

Every single time I hear Greta it re-instills hope in me and I don't know many other musicians that can evoke that kind of emotion. This band has gone above and beyond for the peaceful army. It truly feels like we are all family, not just fans. They've grown so much musically and so has their confidence and its amazing that they're so grounded. We love you boys, you are our family and our voice of a brighter tomorrow

@Anubis If I thought this band were something amazing I would say it. There's nothing original about them. There's nothing new going on here. They've taken a sound that not many people today grew up with and they've recycled it. Simple as that. They got a zillion hits on TH-cam and some promoter gave them a record deal. People like me who grew up with Zeppelin look at GVF and just go... Ffffft!!. I'd rather listen to the real thing. I don't find much in their music that moves me. When I listen to "Going to California" or "Battle for Evermore" the guitar MOVES me. There's an emotional connection to the music. GVF haven't learned how to write yet. If these guys were all fat and bald nobody would give a flying fuck about their music.

This band is from the 70s, but traveled into future to bring us the sensation of been in the past. perfect, I wish I can sign and play like these kids.
They have not only brought out some thing and rock ‘n’ roll that we’ve been missing but they brought some thing out in me that I’ve been missing that I have forgotten about something in my heart, and in my soul that inspired me even at my age that I can still do things at someone maybe 30 years younger than me can do they make me wanna create, enjoyed life and make people laugh and talk and see and be happy. I love them so much for giving me my life back.
I am 54 and feel like I am 16 again and hear echoes of my Dad yelling at me to "turn that shit down!"..lol. Not this time, Pops! My ears are ringing because I had the volume cranked! Damn, these kids know how to ROCK!! Love it!!!
All I know is, releasing the Red Rocks vids during this mostly unpleasant time has revived my soul--and I get to relive one of the best nights of my life over and over. Thank you GVF!!!

As a chick who grew up listening to Zeppelin and underground rock.....you guys touch a spot in this 90's grunge and alternative soul. They just don't make music like this anymore. When I saw y'all on SNL a few years back, I was obsessed and have every song you ever recorded. I can imagine endless hours practicing getting just the right sound and I sure appreciate it. What hits? Every song is the same. Music is more important than image. They don't deliver. They're just a jam band... good for background music that nobody actually listens to.

These guys feed off of each other and are spot on!!!! They are great musicians and artists!!!
Now there’s a fat chance that this video will be followed by a single. Their producer said we’d get one six weeks from now seven weeks ago. Their mom’s heard a bit of the new album and mentioned that they’re utilizing orchestration. Wherever the next album goes, I hope it’s different and new. The best artists constantly reinvent themselves with every release. I’m not suggesting turning away from rock, but rather pulling from some unique concept or genre. They’ve gotten sooo good over this short period of time. Imagine how matured they’ll be by their fifth or sixth album.
UPDATE: The band has already started sending cryptic letters to fans with images in them. On the backs of those images are pieces of an extremely zoomed in song title with a number denoting in what order they should be placed. It’s looking like the next single will be called “My Way, Soon” which was already a rumor. I have no clue how that became a rumor but it looks pretty accurate.
UPDATE NO. 2: It looks like we’ll have our single on Friday.

If they pull a zeppelin and go a bit eccentric for their 3rd album but come back with catchy hard rock tunes for their 4th, I’ll be fine with that lol

This vocalist is a fourth instrument, not only a singer. He fills the spaces with his voice. It's incredible.
He is a twin of the guitar player and a brother of the bass player. The drummer's a good friend of theirs. I think the coordination between these 2 is amazing. Maybe it's cause her twins.

I just saw them at Shaky Knees and they were the best show by far. Absolutely incredible! I have never seen a greater concert, and they only had an hour and 10 minute slot.

Just discovered Greta Van Fleet last night and I cannot stop listening to them! Wow, wow, wow. Saw Zepplin in Seattle in 1977 when I was 18 and I am headed to Reno at the end of this month to see Greta Van Fleet.
I have never ever heard a singer improv backup to a guitar solo. Perfectly. It's mind-blowing.

The production quality of this series of videos was fabulous and so was their performance. These guys are really growing and evolving.
Don’t know why these guys are so criticized they are ROCK so they may sound like Zeppelin a little but where else are you supposed to get your influences from as a musician Zeppelin should be proud that they launched guys like these. Honestly his voice range in higher than Plants and at times sounds like Getty Lee more than Plant. They are crafting their own. People who have not heard Led and hear Josh singing amazingly will obviously be more attracted to this. Like, simple, frickin, logic. Cmon people, cmon. @Hi zee, you need to scroll around and read some of the other comments from folks in my generation who think these guys are awesome. Like me... I’m practically old enough to be their grandma, and there are plenty of others around my age range making really positive comments about GVF. We’re VERY proud younger generations are keeping the hard rock we grew up with alive-while putting their own stamp on it.
As for me, whenever this virus nonsense calms down enough for these boys to go back out on tour, I’ll be there with bells on!

I'm not sure rap fans would agree that all rappers sound the same and I'm pretty sure those same rap fans might say all rock sounds the same.
But all rock fans would say this sounds and looks just like Led Zeppelin and it goes far beyond sound.
That said, if you enjoy it then power to you, but don't get emotional when people point out the glaring obvious.
The best thing about this band is the guitarist for me.
Extremely impressed. I grew up about 5 miles from Red Rocks. Climbed both those rocks, Castle and Ship Rock, used to sneak into the place after closing (this was way before they put up locked gates) and party and play our guitars right on the stage. The acoustics are phenomenal. Got caught sneaking into Willie Nelson concert by one of his roadies and our punishment was to stand next to WN the whole concert right behind the acoustic barriers. I know almost every inch of Red Rocks, even have a nice scar from wrecking on my skate board on Snake Road in 1979.
I don't know man ... there's just something special about this band .

Red Rocks is both easy and difficult for FOH sound . They did a fantastic job blending the natural reverb into the mix . It's actually in the Top 3 I have heard there . This set (GVF) is actually better sound than U2 was.

Jake reminds me of a young Stevie Ray in this video. I have listened to many artists, these kids have old souls. Look at the crowd on some of Jake's strong riffs. The crowd looks stunned. I think that we are witnessing some very strong legend here. Watch.
This whole Red Rocks concert video series has been incredible to watch and listen to. Now if I could just purchase a copy without TH-cam ads.

It's ten bucks a month but TH-cam Red/Premium gets rid of commercials and lets you play the audio from a video while turning off your phone screen. I consider it a worthwhile investment, considering how much time I spend watching videos on here.
