This is my longest piece up to date. A song that started as a simple war drum rhythm turned into a monster. Symphonic orchestrations, massive choirs, thunderous wardrums, slavic/nordic ethno sounds and some celtic elements - inevitably epic! Enjoy.
This song is only a demo track and it will be released as an enhanced version for my new album.
This song was made with FL studio 11 with several different virtual instrument libraries (EastWest/Quantum Leap, Best Service, Bela D Media etc.).

In the heart of a stormy night, two mighty Vikings stood atop a hill, overlooking the vast plain below. The howling winds and the pounding rain were no match for their fierce determination and unwavering courage. They knew that their last battle was upon them, and they were ready to meet it with all the strength they could muster.
The Viking warriors, Ragnar and Gunnar, had been called upon to defend their land against an army of a thousand Norman knights. The Normans, who had come from across the sea, were known for their unmatched skills in warfare and their fearsome reputation. But Ragnar and Gunnar were not afraid. They had fought many battles before, and they knew that they could take on any opponent.
As the Norman army approached, the Vikings stood back to back, their weapons at the ready. The Normans charged forward, their horses thundering across the plain. But the Vikings stood firm, their eyes fixed on their enemy.
"Today we make our stand!" Ragnar shouted, his voice ringing out over the din of the battle. "Today we show the Normans what it means to be a true Viking!"
Gunnar nodded in agreement. "Aye, we may not survive this fight, but we will not die in vain. Our names will be remembered for generations to come!"
The Normans closed in, their swords flashing in the moonlight. The Vikings fought with all their might, their weapons striking true. They fought with the ferocity of a bear and the cunning of a wolf. Blood flowed freely, and the ground shook with the thunder of their battle cries.
For hours, they fought, the tide of the battle ebbing and flowing. But the Vikings refused to back down. They stood their ground, fighting to the bitter end.
As the sun began to rise over the horizon, the Norman army had been decimated. The few remaining knights retreated, their tails between their legs. Ragnar and Gunnar looked around at the carnage that surrounded them, their bodies battered and bloodied.
"We have done it!" Ragnar exclaimed, his voice filled with triumph. "We have defended our land against the mightiest army in all the land!"
Gunnar smiled weakly. "Aye, we have. And our names will be remembered for generations to come."
The two warriors collapsed to the ground, their bodies finally giving out from the exhaustion of battle. As they lay there, they knew that they had made their mark on history. They had shown the world what it meant to be a true Viking, and they had done it with honor, courage, and ferocity.
We live in a place called Midgard, the land of Man, who the world was created by three brothers, Odin, Vili and Ve by slaying the primordial being known as Ymir (Aurgelmir). They rolled his body in the void known as Ginnungagap and began creating Midgard. Ymirs flesh became the land, his blood the oceans, his bones the mountains, his teeth the cliffs, his hair the trees, his brains the clouds. Ymirs skull was then hung up by four dwarfs Nordri, Sudri, Austri and Vestri which became the dome of the heavens, the sun, moon and stars.

I'm not of Scandinavian heritage. I'm descended from Spaniards and Native Americans... still, this song resonates with my soul. When I hear the clashes, they sound like hammer strikes and listening makes me feel more motivated when I'm doing my bladesmithing projects. Maybe I should play this instead of Harry Belafonte when I'm mixing up the must for brewing my mead as well. What can I say? This music just makes me feel strong.
I was walking home while listening to this. I decided to bring out my inner viking and tackle one of my friends while yelling stuff in Norse. :P

Just like Jun Bug say, but Amon Amarth concert is memory for whole life. They were playing on Woodstock festival in Poland in 2017. I can't describe that with words. It was AMAZING!

I was adding Antti's songs to my playlists and clicked this one. I mused to listen to this when I was younger, which sounds ridiculous, but for some reason I liked that kind of music. I completely forgot I ever knew about Antti before hearing this song and others like King of the Higlands and put two and two together and realised I went full circle.
I almost hesitated adding it to my playlists when I realised how long it was as I normally wouldn't add songs over around 5 minutes or so but the song's just too great I had to add it.
