The 8th Annual League Championship features the Riptides vs the Mustangs. For the first time in Como history, this is a Best-of-3 series… The first to two wins takes home the Como Blitzball Trophy!
Game One was dominated by Trent Severino and the Riptides. He not only shut down the top batting lineup in the league, but he also blasted 2 home runs to give the Riptides a 1-0 series lead. The Riptides are just one win away from clinching the championship, and the pressure is on for the Mustangs.
After having an unblemished record up to this point, they now have their first taste of defeat. Now trailing 0-1 in the series, the spotlight is on them to make a comeback. The Mustangs are ready to win 2 straight games and claim their first ever title.

Great season, every year it keeps getting better and better and i can’t say i’ve seen better blitzball played than in the 2023 como blitzball season. especially with the speed limit being involved it took the game to a whole other level, games were very even and the hitting was nuts. 👏
Thank you Trent for having the best fanny in the league. Thank you Hudson for having the best quads in the league AND for serving Sammy a slice of humble pie. Made my week!

What a gentleman Sammy is for not talking trash after the game, and admiring their game plan.
There is a lot of bias in the announcing in the league. They constantly talk about how the other team pitches around Sammy but Trent was pitched around just as much. They struck Sammy out multiple times. He had it in his head that they weren't going to pitch to him and he psyched himself out.

LETS GO!!! As a Riptides fan, what a ride it has been this year. From the first win in franchise history, to Quinn pimping a hr off Caden, to the vlogs that Trent has been doing on his channel (++fan engagement), the the insane playoff run and Trent domination. Could not have had a better finish than the team captain Hudson, who's been here since 0-5, getting the walk-off. Hell of a season dudes. Hudson has been grinding with the Tide for a few years. Good to see the squad show up for him, especially Trent my goodness. Josh was clutch as hell at those pressure moments and in Quinn's worst season he was the glue that held them together. Mustangs are too good, expect to see them in the WS next year. Shout out to all the time spent and hours recording/editing.
