She is tender and defenseless. She has so much emotion that she knows how to move on the stage. In life, people who are so sensitive end up having to create armor to defend themselves from the malice of others. But she is always sincere. She is lovely.

I don't know why some people don't understand about not exposing intimate feelings and situations (journalists and reporters mainly.) They don't have empathy or don't care about other people's feelings. Hey, get a Heart, please!

There was no link between her public coming out and the situation in the studio. I don't get it, it was akward, is this the common in France?
But her coming out was so moving. I don't think that straigt people will ever understand what it is like to expose yourself like this. Especially when you are in the media. Merci pour ton courage, Adèle Haenel.

non french speaker here, i dont understand. yes she mentioned about her relationship with the director during her speech but didnt mention she's lesbian, she could be bisexual or pansexual, yet google said she did come out as lesbian, what does this mean?

    • @dr.pennington1664

She has only had relationships with women and she has said in French interviews that she identifies as lesbian though like many actors, she does not like that to be the focus of interviews. She’s there to talk about her work.

I believe Adele and Celine broke up at the end of 2015 or by February 2016. If this was early 2016, I think the fresh ending of their 8 year romantic relationship is what we are watching. They are still very close.

Hey let's have a guest on our show and totally blindside them for ratings! Inappropriate, and unprofessional. I think the hostess was an arrogant piece of work. Adele handled it with grace.

That host has no etiquette; I guess the rules are changing. What a prick.
    Adele handled it beautifully. xx

Guys, she is very emotional and sad because it feels weird for her promoting her play while the Brussels terrorist attack had just happened at that time (march 2016). The subtitles are not very reliable so if you don't speak French you can't understand what's happening here (even though they don't mention the attacks, I found the date of the show searching online).

What was that all for? Why do you have to exploit something so private? As if coming out wasn't difficult enough, the public display of the reaction to coming out is another. What's behind it? Just a question of viewing figures or the reinforcement and emphasising of heteronormative standards by degrading the other side?
