This tablet looks amazing. I've been looking for a tablet to take out into the field for flying the drone. I think I just found it. Thanks for all the info.
According to the specs on the official website, it does not support 5G. It does 4G, but in the US it only supports T-Mobile and Sprint. This is a deal breaker for me because in my area, those two networks don't offer enough coverage for my needs. Such a shame!
Thank you for pointing that out. 99% of most people that review anything that claims its 5G device. They never review its performance in that capacity. It's always on there home wifi!
@joejosiah Yes. Unfortunately, none of these "ruged tablets" are capable enough to be used in true ruged situations. The most important aspect for such a device is connectivity. If I can't have a capable, reliable connection out in the field or on the job site, then what's the purpose of it, to look cool on my kitchen counter? I don't need a ruged device for house use. I'll have to go for a regular tablet and buy a good case for it.
@@jordan2104Well, the previous model (Oukitel RT 7) is 5G capable, but that's because it has a different processor (a bit less powerful). I think that in the RT8 model they just corrected these bugs, for example they put in a chip that is gamer class but supports 4G coverage, so in practice it looks like you have a relatively but faster tablet that can receive 4G signal in the middle of the forest in a better case, while the 5G capable device will never receive 5G signal in the same way in the middle of the forest, so it is unnecessary to put in 5G. On the other hand, 4G currently provides a much more reliable connection than 5G.
Brother I hope you are making a few $ for your video, because you just sold this tablet 🙂👍 Excellent video ! My iPad has a really nice screen, but that’s about all I can say. The battery life started out…. eh… and after 4 yrs, is just flat terrible. The compatibility with everything else I have (Android and PC) is also freaking terrible. So tired of this iPad, I’m ready to just toss it in the trash !
@@Chris_Wolfgram Awesome!! I’m still using my RT8 as my primary tablet, dropped it accidentally 3 times on a concrete sidewalk, and it still works and looks perfect. The battery does last way longer than my old iPad, which I gave to my 3 year old niece. She’ll probably have better use for it than I will. So far, nothing can replace this tablet, but I’ll let you know it something does! Thanks 🙏 😎
@@mikesytes Update, I wasn't just blowing smoke :) lol I ordered it right after seeing your review. Got it yesterday, and I'm absolutely loving it :) Its SO freaking cool to have such a nice compatible "android" device ! I literally hooked it up by USB cable to my phone, and it automatically moved over ALL 54 apps on my phone ! :) I just had to arrange them, and add some direct links to my most visited FB pages and such. Oh, so I hadn't said so, but I'm actually an avid photographer, and image quality is super important to me ! And in spite of how much PITA as my iPad used to be, I don't think anybody can knock the image quality on an iPad (the only good thing on that stupid thing :) lol) So, I'm very happy to report, the image quality on the RT8 is fantastic :) Plenty sharp, and the color balance is quite good. I do wish they allowed for fine tuning of this, but most people would probably just screw that up anyway, so I get it :) Spent about 4 hrs setting it up, and playing with it last evening, and it went from 73% (out of the box) to 50%. I charged it from half, to full in about 100 minutes. Can't see myself ever using more than 50% on a heavy usage day :) Thanks again for the great review :)
@@mikesytes second update; So I've had it for going on 1 month now. I've used it every day, from 1-6 hrs. Zero glitches or problems. I've never gotten it below 50% regardless of my use. I just plug it in each evening, and never even have to think about how much juice I have left. < this, along with fact that I also have the new Doogee S118 phone, and I can't kill it in a full day of heavy use either, so long story short, how much battery I have left is never a consideration anymore :)
Very informative review. I have already fallen in love with that tablet. Thanks a lot Mike

@@DevilNeverKnows you're welcome!
Interesting that yours as the alloy stand and the shoulder strap, when you look on their website it suggests they are optional extras.
It's optional as for using them, not optional as to have them available.
Perfect timing my new RT8 is coming tomorrow.😊
Is it possible to see NFC operation?
Is the antenna Front/Side or is it the back?
I would love to see a purchase link for this tablet so I can help you out. This tablet looks awesome!

Can you review the Ulefone Armor Tab 2 and compare it to this one? I can't decide 😅

Yes, you are correct it is tricky, I will work on creating a video on this shortly. Thanks for posting your comment!

I see it uses USB port. If I'm in Mexico will I need Mexico-B port? Because US-B port is only for US use?
The charging port is USB-C and should work in any country. Thanks again!

To bad. I need a usb port for the electronics at work.
It has a USB port for charging the device and also for connection purposes.
