So your top 1x10 main shelf, does it sit on top of your front 1x4 or on the inner 1x3’s so it’s flush with the 1x4 front? I tried stoping the video to see if the 1x4 face lumber was all you could see. I know you said you chose 2x3 for bottom 1/4 ply to be flush. Hmm let grandma do a little math… daah lately I feel a bit slow in coming up with answers that are so simple! Thanks Again !
Okay, grandma here again. I got the correct pause frame of video to see you did have the 1x10 flush with 1x4 front. But when you said the beginning of this short video is on the last post. Clicking the link of the handyman site appears to be on many people’s projects not just yours. I saw Simone else asked the question even though you did answer. So if I need more of your projects I’ll need to figure out who & where your site is? Hmm is grandma still slow with understanding this too? 😅
I love it, the only thing I would have done different is 45 the corners so they fit together tight, any tablesaw can cut these at 45, so cautiously angle each end so they fit together really clean, stain it all and if done right, it looks like a solid beam of wood. It gives it that “heavy, strong” wood look without being an actual solid beam.
