😂😂😂😂
@@CharlesStewart-f4b from the governors own money
She has total proof of all taxes paid on time. She needs to Sue the city for every dime the law allows
KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS ALWAYS!
That ain't no paperwork error, that's fraud and she should sue. Under the constitution the Fifth Amendment says to the Federal Government that no one shall be "deprived of life, liberty or PROPERTY without due process under the law." Somebody needs to be held accountable for the anguish this woman was put through.
Just shows how property tax is a scam. You can own the house and lose it if you don’t pay the property tax.
Governments and banks rarely address a problem and do the right thing until publicly embarrassed by a TV station or newspaper - usually a TV station.
What response does the court want/expect ?
I'd be writing : FIX IT NOW
signing that, dating it.. and hand delivering that to the clerk.
Ok,so here is what proves how sketchy this all is. Soneone bought this house 3 YEARS AGO, knew there was someone living there. Never sent them any notice. No rental agreement. Just sat on the property??? NOW they want 3 years back rent?
None of that adds up.
Error??? Yeah right she should be given that money back. Disgusting
Anytime a company or government body says “don’t worry about it”………..worry about it.
That is horrible! Poor woman. I hope she is made whole.
Sue the county and everyone involved
She should file for the senior property tax exemption if she made 65 years old . ❤
She doesn't look like she's even close to 65 years old.
Can’t imagine the stress she’s going through!
“Paperwork issue.” Suuuuuure. 👌
Corporations cronyism. Undermining citizens for misery and profit.
Theft or fraud , possibly both is the best characterisation of this . This lady had the recepts and the will to stand her ground . Had this happened to a vulnerable person they would have been left homeless .
The fact that a person can have their home taken out from under them speaks volumes as to just how broken the system is . The state owes this women an unreserved apology and a truckload in damages .
This is happening everywhere! Yall please be careful, because there's nothing but evil folks out here!!❤️🙏🏽
Yes it is!
Totally unacceptable. Why is it that paperwork errors ALWAYS seem to be in the government's favor? There were ZERO mistakes in getting that property on the auction block, zero mistakes in informing her about rent owed to the "new owner", but can't fix her paperwork for life.
Amazing level of incompetence
makes you wonder what happened to the tax payments in question, my bet is the money vanished into thin air and never made it to the county's treasury account, this can't possibly be an isolated incident
I bet this isn’t the first time this happened
I think that someone was wanting to take her property;but, they didn’t know she kept all her receipts. After she get her property back she need to take the city department that causes all of this to court for pain , suffering and law fees.
This is why you ALWAYS RECORD YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH THE GOVERNMENT!! At the very least, audio, but video and audio is best.
When someone says “Don’t Worry About It” you should worry.
I hope she gets justice
Definitely sue. Fraud, harassment and Emotional damage and everything else. Throw the book at them.
That tax department is sloppy. I hope they null and void the new owner’s sale!!
If officials start being held personally and financially liable for such incompetence, errors like this would never happen.
Absolutely ridiculous !
The ball was definitely dropped here .
It sounds like this town needs a new mayor, a new board and whole new governance
Thank you Lord Jesus for the gift of life and blessings to me and my family $14,120.47 weekly profit Our lord Jesus have lifted up my Life!!!🙏❤️❤️
I'm 37 and have been looking for ways to be successful, please how??
Sure, the investment-advisor that guides me is..
Mrs Lee Wallace Stacey
😱Sounds familiar, I have heard her name on several occasions.. and both her success stories in the wall Street journal!
Her services is the best, I got a brand new Lambo last week and paid off my mortgage loan thanks to her wonderful services!
This woman needs to sue the city, the individual who messed this up, personally. This is no $200 mistake. This is someone home and life! These mistakes are unacceptable! Hope she wins big and actions are taken in place so this may never happen again
Thank god she kept all her paperwork!
This happened to my grandparents in the seventies. There was a discrepancy in their tax payments and a real estate lawyer bought it from under them. They got some of the best real estate lawyers in the country and he still won. As soon as the judgement was made he got the sheriff there to evict them. The lawyer ended up selling it back to them and the only reason I can think of is because it was somewhat of a high profile case in the Chicago newspapers. Mike Royko did numerous articles in the Chicago Sun Times. God bless America.😢
What a nightmare!!
Sue the hell out of the city and county. They are thieves!
I used to live in Shiiiiiecago- so glad I moved far away!!!! the people at the Cook County Assesor's office are *LAZY AF!!!!!!!*
Oh hell no. Chicago is getting sued for my mental distress. 5 years, 5 million dollars.
Property taxes are unconstitutional and they need to be abolished
This is beyond outrageous.
This poor lady.
