Be careful !!! Parkside Battery's don't have a Low Voltage cutoff (no MosFET inside). So it depends on the Tool to cutoff and prevent an over discharge ...
I have recently (the last 12 months) been buying parkside 20v family tools as I they became available in Lild. I found your channel a few days ago and I find it fascinating as to what can be done to repair and hack the tools. I will be watching in the future and using a lot of your ideas in a practical way. Thank you. Oh! Forgot to say I have subscribed.
Nice idea but NOT with Parkside battery pack! Beware of this modification! Parkside 20V battery has no undervoltage protection in battery board! This protection is integrated in parkside tool speed controller. Cells are connected to output pins directly and you can discharge battery too low and destroy one cell in few discharging cycles. Even with one cell below 2V, original charger refuse charging with error light. Dont try this modification!
Peace be upon you, Mr. Dahen I have a FERREX drill 20 volt without battery. Can I use another type of battery and how can I know the negative and positive to operate the drill because it has 5 outputs (+B1- /B2- / T / B1+ /B2) Thank you for your help
Nice hack. Talking about battery pack/dedicated charger, looking for compatibility between manufacturers on the web I ran across many site warning about mixing. I think it is BS as the charging logic and protection is always in the battery. The charger is just a transformer. Alsö the battery/Charger from parkside are interchangeable with Güde. Just a little bit of plastic to grind here and there. I guess there a lot of other compatibilities out there.
There is another aspect besides charging, and that is sensing when the battery voltage has dropped too low for it to be charged in the normal manner in the charger that matches the battery. There is a circuit board that is known as BMS (battery management system). It functions to charge all cells so that they are somewhat closely matched in voltage at full charge. In some batteries, it also detects the low voltage situation and cuts off the power; but some manufacturers put that function into the tool. So this is the thing to be concerned about when mixing batteries from one manufacturer and tools from a different manufacturer.
I was just looking at buying a 3d printed adapter to makita nicd reciprocating saw looks like i be skipping that and buying a cupple £1 chopping boards many thanks for the video
@@christopherbooth1772 - it didn’t appear to use any glue. There were four screws that held the pieces together, with nuts embedded into the topmost layer by heating it up to soften the plastic for press fitting the nuts.
very dangerous ! the battery has no shut-off electronics, shut-off and protection are in the parkside devices! operating the battery without this electronics is not only careless, but also dangerous
@@zana3587 the fuse is is only the last emergency protection, the device must be switch of the power from the battery, if the battery give the signal to switch off, you not connect the signal pin, and you not have the electronic to switch off
Be careful !!!

thank you sir, yes, but it's good for me, before it's discharged i stop
@@zana3587 simple solution for that is small voltmeter in the handle, see here: th-cam.com/video/bHeii834ujs/w-d-xo.html
One thing is for sure, when my chopping boards get old they are not going to the bin anymore.
yes, thank you sir
Muy buen video saludos desde chile mi pregunta es ? La bateria que adaptaste era de 20v y el atornillador tambien? O era de un voltaje diferente?
Gracias señor, era el mismo voltaje.

What glue do you use?
I've tried 3x different 2 part epoxy and all 3 brake free with use
