If you want it to pull apart cute like you wanted to in the beginning, you add a step in between. Get all 12 together but do them 6 & 6 then open them so they are each one side of the half of the ball. Next, you glue those 2 open halves together, flat sides and they make the ball and open without tearing. Did about 5 of these before figuring it out on accident lol :)
Oh that’s a really great tip. Sometimes I learn more from the accidents! 😂 that’s the best way to figure things out. I didn’t even think about doing one out of fabric. 🤔 I Mike have to try that.
Love how you took us along with your mistakes. Everyone makes them but if you see it perfectly done everytime you feel inadequate when you do make the mistakes. Thanx and thank you for the laughs too😉😂
You’re welcome for all the mistakes! 😂 I’ve never thought it was helpful to anyone for me to cover up when something isn’t working. I’ve tried to follow tutorials where I feel like they left something out. You will always see what goes wrong and how to fix it. If I can. 🫤
Try marking on the circles where you will be putting the glue and make sure the circles are lined up before sticking together. Spray paint is good because it is light weight and doesn't weigh down the finished item.
It might help if you tried 16 paper circles instead of 12. I tried counting the paper circle halves in the photo from Menards, and it looked like there were 8 per half ornament. Maybe gluing them in batches of 4, then assembling the quarters after you expand them? Thanks for the video! Love your candor. 😊
Im going to try to do one out of fabric next! So cute thank you!
Fabric would be so cool!

Really great project !❤🎉
Thank you!🙏🏻
So cute, need to try one of those for sure!
They’re not hard at all. Cut with different colors or patterns.
I used to make my own honeycomb ornaments 30 years ago; when my kids were preteens. Fun, but a bit of a chore.
They do take effort but they’re so pretty.
You're all good! It's just the heavy paper that took you down on the first one.
It’s been a hot minute since I’d made one 😂 Grandma never had card stock so I suspect that was an issue.

That’s a good idea. It would be precise but I’m never that organized.

That could be. I think the paper was really stiff but if I used more it might’ve worked. The section ideas is a good one. I might try it that way.
I have found that these types of cutters work best on a glass mat.
That’s good to know. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a glass mat but I’ll look for one. Thank you
@@JunkinwithStacy in a pinch, the glass from a frame can be used overtop a regular mat.
Or use more pink and white paper
That’s a possibility.
That might be a fun project to do with my daughter. It kills me that they were asking $10 for a paper ornament!
It’s not hard to do. I wish the card stock one would have turned out because the contrasting colors would have been pretty.
Life style choices involving hot glue and glitter. Yikes! That's scary.😊
You have to commit if you’re going to glitter! 😂🤣
