This is by far the best, most thorough, interesting video on the Minibrute that's come out so far. I've had this thing on preorder for seven months. I can't wait to get it!
Hey there, no it doesn't have any way to save the patches on the synth but you are provided with overlays to mark where everything is when you find a sound you want to recall.
I've had the microbrute for a couple of months and just ordered a mini to pair with it to extend the capabilities. Micro and Mini are indeed great for beginners and pros alike.
You can select the MIDI receive as well as the MIDI send channels using the configuration software available on Arturia's site. The configuration software let's you define the keyboard play mode between legato or staccato, select the arpeggiator mode, set the aftertouch and velocity curves as well.
That really is a pickle. The two would complement each other really well - the Prophet VS wavetables and the MiniBrute's fat, raw oscillators... sound design heaven!
Anything that says Arturia I listen they have such rich and Lush sounding sound libraries anyone who is into music should be up on Arturia products and sounds I was concerned about the monophonic capabilities as opposed to Poly but I think you summed that part up a bit my question to you is how much is this Mini Brute? My other question is when can you get polyphony out of the Mini Brute?
Really nice and informative video. (: Do you know how the Novation MiniNova compares to the Arturia MiniBrute? As of now, I'm leaning towards the Brute.. but I just want some second opinions. Thanks in advance.
Is the USB socket just transmitting midi to the computer or audio too? Very interesting synth, espec. the ability to have an external OSC routed into the machine.
everything is perfect BUT - try to MIDI sync it to your DAW and turn on ARP mode on MiniBrute then you will hear the problem that Arturia refuses to fix for about 5 heckin' years
Expert or snob? You could say "I wish the oscillator was a little more punchy because that would make the wave modulation even more effective. Like an sh101. when you play a really low note with pwm it sounds like crushing snow in your fist right next to your ear." And maybe a few people are listening still. It's an inexpensive analog synth that's mass produced. It should be recommended to anyone. hey, this is cool. buy one less guitar because of what's painted on it and try a synth.

This is most full and useful video on the MiniBrute Iv seen thus far. Want one even more now.

thanks. best review of this synth I have seen so far

Wow! I haven't seen a Swatch like that since '86!
Oh yeah, nice review too!
king shaman lol.
Then u been under a rock the last 20 years.

After all these years it's still a beautiful synth. Best wishes for 2021.
"Really characterful"? His tweaking has extended into words. Powerful stuff.
Great review!
If you're going to do a review of a synth, make sure we can actually hear the synth! The first 7 minutes were pretty much silent.
You will never hear a demo of these Brutes, have you heard any? Just a bunch of people talking about them all over you tube but still no TESTICLES.
Yeah honestly, people should just play the thing.

9:05 how do I access this sequencer type arpeggiator?
At the moment I'm afraid it doesn't, but I think that this may be possible to add with a firmware update.
thanks for this video! i really need one Minibrute or Microbrute
Cool! Just about to register mine:)
A fine review, thanks!

In which shop do you work, mate? You demonstrate things really well...

great stuff
Cool - will do.
So so Informative. Get this guy a promotion! Just kidding, but really great review. Thanks a lot
Mininova is virtual analog, but is polyphonic and has a vocoder.
The microbrute has the sequencer thingy.
Is the USB socket just transmitting midi to the computer or audio too? Very interesting synth, espec. the ability to have an external OSC routed into the machine.
That's a Swatch! Model GR153 "Radio Button" if we're being truly specific... :)
does the arpeggiator send midi notes?
Wow, what software was used to visualize the waves? Thank you.
Thank you!
Relax man, whats the hurry with your fingers.
I get dizzy just watching
does it have a bank to save presets?
turn up the wave sliders only to 50% for a good result. above that it is built to be overdriven
Too much totally random knob twisting and flicking. Sorry but I found it irritating. Just saying. Nice synth though.
Bram's "Smexoscope" - google it for the link!
What watch is that? :]
Oh, thanks :-)

Nice video Alex reminds me of the sonic lab guy but your like a Sexier version
Yup, this video is sponsored by the word "cool". But then, the MiniBrute is exactly that...
Watched the whole video, and still have no idea what the instrument sounds like or what you can do with it. Too much talking and not enough demmo
Ha!
you look like john clease. [can isay that/], like your video.

smartelectronix
Annoying review. Too much Bla and those little claws of his scuttling around in a blur... Not enough playing...... Guy says "cool" about 2k times.
No.
This is a limited toy. Save your pennies and get a Korg Arp Odyssesy if you want a real classic mono synth with miles of potential...
It's not a toy you idiot. Have you ever spent any time with one? The Arp you mentioned is more than twice the price.
PROJECT DX what?? Vince Clarke is using it for a lot of bass sounds mate! Toy it's not!
Please, please stop saying everything is 'cool' all the time. It sounds really dated!!! Nobody says 'cool' any more!
PLEASE SHOUT YOUR MOUTH
Totally not a demonstration....
A lot of talking.. but can you play something nice? . Lots of stuff. Nice!
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
ZZZZzzzz....
Go take a nap, this is one of the better Minibrute overviews on YT.
