It dawned on me about a year ago that you can divide the world into (1) those who still watch TV and (2) those who follow the internet and social media. Just look at the age/voting records of populations in USA and European countries.

There is a big difference between designing a chip and making one, just like architect is different from contractor. Chip designers are Intel AMD Nvidia…. and TSMC Samsung… make them. So almost all the chips design are american companies in the past and Taiwan South Korea…make them but do not design chips. China, because the US blockage, has no choice but to both design and make chips.
