  • Now that it's winter and I'm not able to keep my power station charged with solar, I've installed an inverter to be able to charge the bluetti whilst driving! It's been working well so far!

Thank you for a very useful vlog for van lifers who are using a similar method for their van power.
I was wondering about fuses from the battery to the inverter but then you explained that the inverter has a built-in fuse.
Will you be having Christmas in the van or do you have plans for something different?

Yeah you could add additional fuses to be safe but as mine is in such an accessible spot I can keep an eye on it and I’d be able to smell if anything started burning at all! Plus it has the fuses built in which is handy! I’ll be with my family for Christmas, parked up on their driveway 😅

Hi.im thinking of putting a ac200max in my van build as I just want plug and play how have you been getting on with it and how long does it last in-between a good charge. 👍 Cheers Steven

Hi Steven, it really depends on what you’re powering and also the time of year, in the summer I don’t usually have problems and it’s always being topped up by the sun even if it’s slightly cloudy, I was able to have my fridge on 24/7 power an air fryer occasionally, charge loads of devices etc. in the winter I’m struggling a bit to keep it topped up but now I’ve installed this inverter it’s helping massively! I’m usually able to keep it topped up enough with the occasional campsite or family & friends house visit to give it a boost back to 100%
