"Dear" Klairs 🌙🌙 Midnight Blue Calming Cream Review

- I love trying new products and different brands. I've heard a fair amount about the Klairs k-beauty skin care brand and recently they were on the flash sale page Hautelook so I purchased several products from them to try. Out of these products I've found a couple really great skin care toners and moisturizers. One of the products I tried was the Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream. Adding this product into my skincare routine has made noticeable differences in my skin. My skin looks more even, clear, and hydrated. The Midnight Blue Calming Cream takes a while to absorb and I've been using this toward the end of my skincare routine, and at times when my skin feels dry or irritated. I also use this after I use my home Tria and Illuminage Lasers to help my skin calm down. I love that this product is fragrance free and loaded with many different beneficial ingredients. If you have issues with irritation, dryness, or even an allergic reaction, this cream might help skin to balance back out. FYI- this comes in two sizes, I highly recommend picking up the larger size, it is double the amount, packaged better than the small size, and only a few dollars more. I would definitely repurchase this product again.

This is one of my all time favorite videos of yours - simply because Ike is so happily getting his scratch on (he’s got quite the technique) & trying to co-star in your review while giving you the “Hey Ma, look at me!” look. It’s so sweet. His wagging tail knocking stuff off the shelf reminds me of our dogs & their happy tails. I’ve read that this moisturizer describes it as fragrance free but it has Roman chamomile which is described as a natural essential oil found in plants. So I don’t know if it has fragrance or not. I thought all essential oils could potentially be irritating and chamomile definitely sounds like fragrance but I was gonna give this one a shot since it doesn’t have niacinamide, which has become like the devil under my eyes. If you happen to see this, I would love to hear if you think it is fragrance free?

Great review. I've been thinking about ordering this product, I am a big fan of azulene, the component in chamomile that gives the blue color and scent in the product. I will get a tube when I can find it on sale.
Anyone else here have to rewind the video to 4 minutes several times because the doggo was SO CUTE? I kept getting distracted and did not hear a word of the review? LOL!!

WOW SARAH! I’ve been using this for a few days on my neck and it took away ALL of the redness in my neck, I used to ALWAYS have redness in my neck folds and now after a few days of twice daily use they are GONE! It has also taken away the redness in my upper chest, seriously I cannot thank you enough for recommending this to me! From now on, any products you recommend for taking away redness, I am a believer! You should do a top 10 products for redness really!
EDIT: Oops I forgot to mention that I am on my third day of taking 40mg of prednisolone to treat an inflammatory condition I have which is a very potent oral systematic steroid tablet, so might be that lol
So happy you've had good luck with it! It's so hard to deal with redness and itchiness, especially the neck area. Prednisone probably helped a little too. I used to have to take that once in a while to get rid of really bad migraines and it was a miracle drug.
I had purchased the jar first and really enjoyed it, so I decided to buy the tube. I personally love it. I have very sensitive skin and it plays well with it. It's soothing and very moisturizing. When I apply it at night the next morning I find that my skin is less red than usual. Also the rich soothing cream from klairs is really nice.
I think adding this into my routine several months ago has also made a huge difference for me, my skin is so much less sensitive and red in the morning. It's kind of become a lifesaver for me!
Thanks for the warning about EGF in it. That’s really too bad, because it might be a big help right now.

Love Ike! He’s getting his chin massaged on on the tableware. Giggled when his tail knocked something off the shelf; our boys do that with their happy tails. Love when your fur babies make an appearance. Dogs are the BEST!
I love ❤ your rating system, but have a suggestion. 😁 It would be super helpful to see the actual product in the jar and/or on your hand. I'd also be interested in what the company claims the product will do, and if you thought it lived up to that. Your doggy is ADORABLE! 😍

I’ll check this out. So far, my fav Klairs product is the lip balm. The Butterbalm. It’s amazing and 25 spf!! I’m always looking for ways to have color on my pale lips but still have sun protection. This stays on and several tints that are are so pretty! Packaging is a metal tube and top screws on so it can’t melt or come off in purse or wherever. Brilliant. I live in south and mine never melts in car. I keep it in car and put it on when i get in car. It’s just about only lip product I use when sun is out and bright. It smells like a crayon if smells bother people but I don’t smell it or taste it when on. Very very flattering and long lasting. My only problem is I want ALL the colors.
Just tried this on my neck and chest(Midnight blue calming cream), it didn't seem to bother my skin although my neck folds look redder, pretty red lol but I don't know if that was related to the product or not. Only time will tell if it really is calming and non irritating for me or not, but the only thing I didn't like was the fact it takes a while to absorb but I did enjoy the blue color! The blue tint just adds to the sensorial appeal i think
I've used this for a long time but the shea butter doesn't agree with my skin. It's in every thing and causes blocked pores on my cheeks. What this is good for is sunburn or sore red skin. If you don't have a problem with shea butter. Wishtrend suggests using it under moisturiser as a treatment for inflamed skin. Thanks for the review Sarah. XOXO
You are so welcome! It would be sooo annoying to have issues with shea butter because you're right, it is in almost everything these days! This does a great job with eczema, too. Love that!
Can this cream be used as a day cream? I don't want to use the other one which is the klairs soothing cream as it has a lot of essential oils.
Sarah I think guaiazulene is the ingredient that makes the midnight blue calming cream blue but afe there any benefits to this ingredient in skincare
I just ordered this on yes style. Can I use this in a routine where I'm using vit c or vit a . Vit c I have timeless vit a Fab retinol:)
I am just suffering so badly with irritated skin (also stress related) - the itching is severe,. So I just used La Roche Posay effaclar for sensitive skin right now, Benton bye bye redness centella gel, klairs midnight blue cream, pyunkang yul moisture cream over the top. Peace. I will do this for one or two days and the irritation will be gone.
I purchased ordinary vitamin c 30% suspension can i use that with this cream? Or it will be harmful?

Sarah what do you think is the best epidermal growth factor product for oily acne prone skin?
I found the bioeffect to feel pretty oily on skin. The Klairs youth drop is nice but it does contain castor oil, which can be iffy for some people. The Klairs does feel pretty light compared to many of the others. I'm beginning to like the skinmedica tns advanced serum, but I am thinking it's not available where you live? The Isntree EGF Ampoule is very nice though. I'm thinking I'd go with that if I were you. The Revolution Skincare EGF Serum is okay, but I ended up being a bit more impressed with Isntree. My first Egf Ampoule from Isntree had an issue with the pump, but the subsequent bottles I've purchased (4) haven't had the same issue. Coxir has an EGF Peptide Serum but I found it to have way too much scent. CELLBN and Babyface both have Egf Serums that I'm wanting to try but haven't yet. Definelty going to check them out on my next orders though. Easydew also has an EGF Serum and that one has a lot of fragrance and not much Egf. I am trying to use it so I can test it but my skin does not like it at all. I'm thinking out of everything I'd start with Isntree. The way they package it makes it seem pretty fresh, too. No fragrance or alcohol either. I didn't realize until just now how many EGF products I've tried. I'll have to do a top Five list.
No BS Beauty Sounds like I’m gonna go with isntree which is one of my favourite brands anyway. I’m not paying the ridiculous money that skinmedica costs

I used this cream with vitamin c serum and vitamin e mask next day had bumpy face and had red cheeks
I've found that Vitamin E Mask contains a bit too many fragrant ingredients, especially for sensitive skin.
Am i looking at the wrong one because I only see one that has orange peel oil and lemon and other fragrance oils ?
There was on older version of this product that did contain a ton of citrus oils and fragrance, about a year ago they updated the formula to be fragrance free. So if you're shopping for it make sure to get the new version whenever possible.

I also recently got a sample of the tatcha sunscreen and it’s so amazing and lightweight and I can’t believe it has zinc. I have the purito unscented chemical sunscreen coming in the mail too!
Have you ever developed contact dermatitis from using a skincare product?
Will it be good for very dery skin in winter?
I have tried it and no...this is not adequate for people with dry skin type....it is disappointing and it pills really easily and it is not cheap. I feel it probably works for normal or combination skin that feels dry.
