  • Wail from 787 "Joan is now t0+"
    Buffs: Magic +20 / HP -20
    Builds:
    s5 Luvia | Lv. 80 | 8777 | ECB 1 | Embrace
    s5 Joan | Lv. 80 | 7787 | ECB 1 | Nightmare/Hope
    s5 Labyrinth | Lv. 80 | 7877 | ECB 1 | Justice/Corridor
    (replaceables)
    s1 Serpent | Lv. 80 | 7778 | ECB 1 | Embrace
    s0 Shalom | Lv. 80 | 7778 | ECB 1 | Tower/Inversion
    s0 Cabernet | Lv. 80 | 5775 | ECB 1 | Tuning/City/Corridor
    A very mean boss with a lot of awkward mechanics, the most notable of which is having a whopping 349 mdef, by far the highest of any BFL/DZ boss we've ever had (usually ~150-200). This instantly makes Joan with her 30% mdef reduction the single most important unit for this fight, and is likely more value than even s3 Shalom. And of course, Luvia for the season buff.
    The other complete bullshit mechanic is he can still attack during break mode, cuz thanks AISNO coding! To make it worse, his att reduction pulse has no reactable tell, but you're still forced to get in his face so your bossers can focus him, so if you get unlucky and get pulsed right as you move in for the break mode kill like me....you might have to just restart until that doesn't happen.
    That said, I did over prepare for this after noticing his silly flat mitigation stat. Cabernet is now many many magnitudes stronger than Enfer, Raven, or Owo, as attack to overcome mitigation is now absolute king.
    Shalom was honestly highly superfluous, but it's a chaotic map with a lot of bullshit on screen and having a screenwipe button to save my framerate just seemed important at the time (she wasn't). Honestly she could be replaced by just about anyone as I finish with plenty of spare time to slowly whittle down remaining adds if need be....while playing sandbagging buffs.
    Because of my overly greedy composition, Joan was awkwardly forced to be my nightmare holder, and city was free for Cab. Just an example of being flexible and logical with CB choices instead of blindly following flawed Sinner recommendation guides I guess....
    Lastly, because Laby alone more or less solves the entirety of the break and survival routing, you are basically free to take any combination of dps or amps in the remaining 3 slots. She's able to AC farm energy and bait enemy Laby's ult out at the same time for massive utility and defensive value.
    A note about the cross aoe is, despite the game implying the targeting is random, (targets lowest HP percentage) it seems to target Serpent every single time with this formation. For this specific route, I like to dodge her out of the way right after the spin to clear up the board. Her ecb is also optimized for the post boss clear instead of boss dps, cuz with Joan completely removing the main mechanic that makes him seem so stat checky, he kinda just keels over after Joan ult, and you're better off worrying about all the scattered adds coming in from every direction.
    One last thing, that big self water sphere is the boss's summon animation. It's very highly recommended you interrupt the 3rd one with break mode, even if your damage isn't ready to go yet, as the last one spawns really far forward and will harass Cab and Shalom, and just zones out all the primetime wave clear dps tiles.
    .
    Also, funny story. In my proof of concept run, the boss evaporated so quickly, I thought he fell out of bounds or something. Then half my team died to random bullshit onscreen while my jaw was dropped.

    And of course, if you're very underleveled, there's always the universal 160k-200k leak farming strats:

    Your team comp is fairly easily re-creatable, your video lists your Sinner's loadouts, and your analysis in the description is very helpful and knowledgeable. The current BFL and the previous cycle felt like a big jump in difficulty, so I'm glad to find a creator that may help us overcome these stages. Thanks for the guide and I liked and subscribed!

      Thanks, glad to hear the detailed descriptions are helpful! I always wonder how many people actually read those things.

      Yes, I appreciate it! I am 100% F2P and have been playing since the first month of NA launch. So it's helpful to read about alternate Sinner picks or why you use who you use so I can adjust with my own roster.

    Looks easy enough, but i wonder if its truly the case XD Forgot to play it yesterday, but i wonder if s0 summoners team will be enough without much adjustment🤔 Cosmic fox wasnt a problem for them, so maybe.. but we'll see, i recently built Pacassi and EU just conveniently has her buff i think

      Should fine, 3E has a lot of att stat buffs naturally from Eve, and her summon is quite tanky to avoid some drama.

      @@BoswerLK that was hard, i had void puppet flashbacks, but this one is probably even worse. it just doesnt die. probably my problem but i found Enfer kinda useless here. mobs die relatively fast but Eve just very not enough to kill the boss during those 10 secs of Pacassi buff. so ended with Eve, 11, Pacassi, Raven and Luvia-Serp animation cancel and still wasnt able to finish while core-break lasted, so at the end had to spend significant time killing the clone. skill issue🤪 Serpent is much-much easier to deal with.
      also waiting for your summoners team clear

      @@Mike-jo8zd Issue is probably more your lack of any kind of mdef break. Pacassi and Luvia probably aren't doing any damage at all, and Serp's significantly impacted. 3e has enough att naturally to do ok, but you should really should bring at least 1 of Joan, Cabernet, or Hecate into this fight.

      @@BoswerLK i dont have Cabernet, didnt play back then😔 Pacassi doesnt do much, year, but isnt her buff quite good? Luvia did like 120k or something. i also tried at first -20% hp buff, but it was a complete disaster, couldnt even kill it

      @@Mike-jo8zd Pacassi's buff only increases her own (non-existent) DoT damage, and does nothing to deal with this boss's unprecedented mdef. 120k is basically nothing by current standards. ....my troll dps Hamel can do more than that by just afking in dps mode the whole fight. Need high raw attack or mdef reduction this season.

    really love the information in the description, ty for the video!
    edit: is there a way to guarantee that cabernet's core break hits the 3 core enemy instead of the 1 core one? it keeps registering on the 1 core for me D:

    • @BoswerLK
      @BoswerLK  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Her core break is aoe. Should break 1 core from everything with a hurtbox in that tile. Drag and hold any skill cast to show hurtboxes and make sure the 3 core elite is actually on the tile you think it is.

    i honestly can't see and tell, but can you tell me exactly when did the boss applied his atk down debuff?

      1:27 The splash of water. You see the faint grey downward "rain" effect on Serpent and Joan for the rest of the fight after that.

    can we get a version without serp and cab 😅

    • @BoswerLK
      @BoswerLK  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Losing Serp wouldn't be too bad with a more built Shalom. Shal naturally has one of the highest att stats in the game, 2nd only to Crache I think, and should be able to punch through that mdef just fine with Joan's support. As long as you have Joan, Cab can be replaced by any other amp probably (Enfer/Owo/Raven), maybe even Hecate. Would definitely need good investment and maybe level 90s without Cab though, since attack stat is so important to deal damage at all here.
      s2+ Lamia would be direct upgrade to Serp here, but mine's still unbuilt cuz s0....
      I'll probably be showcasing summoner team next week, so it'd be 2 weeks minimum before I'd showcase a hotswap of this route, if at all. This stage is a lot of effort to play with all the tight Laby timings. =/

      Thx you are the man! Joan rocks, More videos with a friendly team lineup like this plz!@@BoswerLK . I was wondering if Paccasi, EMP can shine

    • @BoswerLK
      @BoswerLK  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@fxyz4680 Pacassi's ok here. Dropping an ult where Serp ecb is should contribute pretty nice ecb damage from the slimes walking into the boss and clones while also clearing wave 2 elites. EMP not good this season, attack stat too low and not much ult value comes to mind. She was actually really good last season, able to get 6 ults on herself with last stand.
