Funny how different countries would influence people's perceptions. Where I'm from (southeast Asia) it's really common to wear 916 gold jewellery. We wear it everyday. Rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, you name it. Even children wear 916 gold pieces. Yes, they're durable. I only take off my bracelets when I'm doing cardio exercises. Don't worry about it. If anything, I prefer 916 because I know I won't get allergic reactions using them. They're also good investments cause hey, high purity gold!
For normal jewellery without diamonds or stone 22k 916 is the gold standard for jwellery in india if it has diamonds and some lot of work with stones then they go for 18k gold not less than 18k 22k and 18k are best for daily use perfect colour and no skin reactions.
24k cubans and rings usually get noticeable scratches. other desigbs especially if they’re thin likely wont scratch unless it’s deliberate or not handled with care.
Beautiful pieces. Hoping to upgrade my 14k pieces to 22k later. Just got my gf an 18k rope chain from HRC but I don’t even have any 18k pieces for myself yet. 😅 Thanks for sharing!
Regarding the durability, it depends on the type of jewelry. I wouldn't go above 18K for watches or rings. Unless it's not for daily wear. I might understand calling 10K gold fake, but 14K? Odd.
I tend to go for 18k and I’m in the US but it’s hard to find because most places only do 14k so sometimes I get that. But people think my 18k gold looks fake which is wild to me. I’m noticing people here go even more for 10k now which at that point just go silver because it doesn’t even look gold to me.
I’ve recently fell inlove with some 18k earrings, ordered 18k watch and felt annoyed , felt like it looked fake , until looking at comments on gold, and realized sometimes the higher gold can look to yellow , where not used to it , it looks fake to me , at first look
@@melissamckinney7944very much so!!! My 18k is definitely more rich in color than 14k items but it also has more of a champagne undertone that I think compliments my skin more. Definitely not the norm it’s annoying I have to mix and match my gold because not everything cones in 18k and when I do mix, it makes the 18k stand out more so people think half is fake or something lol. It annoys me personally because I’m not fit metal much which is almost can look like due to the difference tbh
I HATE the fact in the UK where I'm from 9ct is so normal so I grew up with seeing that and I enjoy the colour 😊 I guess I'll just have some of my rings looked down on if I go abroad oh well haha.. Has not happened so far except with Asian people I've met... They see almost orange looking (to my eye) 24k as their normal, and I do think it looks beautiful and ornate for intricate pieces and women's jewelry but in UK it's usual for a man to wear anything over 18k, especially as a ring For me 9ct is the min standard and that's just the norm where I live.. Nobody looks down on it as such but at the same time everybody is different.. My friend wears a very nice 22ct Cuban link bracelet very attractive just not for me personally (the link or carat)
I've noticed how lighting has something to do with the appearance of gold. I've seen where 14 karat looks really washed out under certain lighting conditions, even though it is already a pale yellow. On the other end of the spectrum, 22 karat and 24 karat sometimes looks quite dark or orange in certain lighting conditions, but at the same time, it's a beautiful rich bright yellow. I am interested in getting a 22-karat piece, and I look forward to seeing how rich a 22 karat piece is in person. It is hard to tell on video, you're right. However, I also work at a warehouse, and I do wonder how a 22-karat piece would hold up. I also love 18 karat. It's something to consider.
If you had to ask me I would choose 19.2k (80% gold) or 22k!! 24k I would only ever buy that if I was like really rich to have a super thick and heavy chain. That would be so sick imo.
@@Snotroggel453lol what? I think the complete opposite a man shouldn’t wear anything under 18k it’s too bright and more gold purity shows wealth and class and many cultures.

I love gold! I enjoyed this video. Very informational. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
In France 18k or above.

The people who speak on 24K not being viable as a daily jewelery piece are usually people who can't afford it.
You are so cheap
I just got a 24k piece. I love the color. Does 22k have the same color as 24k? It’s hard to tell not in person.
pretty much, i have a 22k chain and it is a very beautiful colour
Yes it’s similar

You are an amazing boyfriend she is blessed to have you.
Yeah I think I’m gonna start buying 22k and up now
in Estonia we have only 14k on sale, havent seen above that
Same here in Ukraine. Lots of 14k, and really limited amount of 18k. Ended up going to a jeweller for a custom piece.
really great video so far 3:31 and so full of information. no unrelated waffling, just short sweet and concise. I will be subscribing.
yea but she doesnt answer any comments idk why

What matters is how the piece makes you feel, and if there's a special meaning for you. At the end of the day it is just an object.

Ive had 2 gold chains high purity 21 and 22 karat i never take the 21karat off; but I wear both every day.
Where do u get your 24k in United States?
Menē is the only place I’ve found with 24k gold. Very fair pricing. Malabar Gold and Diamonds and Tanishq has 22k for a fair pricing as well
Think they got 23k in Cali and minnesota
Go to Chinatown or Vietnamese town. There are lot of stores here in SoCal area.
What karat would you wear daily if you could only choose one for the rest of your life ?

i’m here because i saw that one tiktok and it turns out it you’re the same person
can you do a video on 24k yellow gold?
thanks
Lucked up and found a "GEM" with this channel...I'm subbing 4sho!
Thank you ma'am...
🙌🏽
if youre gonna buy gold, dont waste your money buying anything less than 22k.
Anything less than 18k imo
Lol
