On 1st May, we were suppose to do paragliding but somehow the agent where we booked the day before couldn’t get a spot for us & then we decided to stay one more day for the paragliding. Somehow we wasted the whole day waiting for the agent to pick us up then later in the evening we booked from another agent after getting our refund. We tried Korean food for lunch but what a waste. We couldn’t eat because we ordered so much for two people. Their serving was so big🤓 In the evening, we took the boat at Phewa Lake & watched the sunset🫠
The next day, we did our paragliding. I tried parasailing before but paragliding is a whole different experience I would say & later in the evening, we had an Indian thali because I couldn’t get used to with the Thakali sets😭
On 3rd May, we took the early morning bus to Lumbini. I actually planned for night buses so that we could save hotel room charges & time as well but there ain’t no night bus from Pokhara to Lumbini because it’s about 8 hours drive so. It was so hot in Lumbini🥵 40 degree & yes luckily our hotel was just 2 minutes walk from Maya Devi Temple’s gate & through that it was just 15 minutes walk to the actual temple.
On 4th May, we visited the temple early to save us from the heat & the queue too. You know I wasn’t sure if I should tell them we were Nepali because they charged less entry fee for the locals & about NPR 700 for the tourist. And since I spoke Nepali thora thora, any sites counter people always charged us less thinking we were locals. So that time I told myself that if the counter person asked me where I was from, I wasn’t gonna lie but if he doesn’t ask me anything, imma go with whatever he charged & he only charges us NPR 40 each I think😆
The guards inside the temple were so kind enough to let us do our morning prayers inside their enclosed area near to the marker stone. I was questioning myself if that place was a palace or something because all along what I know is that there’s a tree in every picture of Lord Buddha’s birth. There was one tree outside but I was not sure. I heard some stories about it too but I was thinking which side could it be but later when we went to see the marker stone, just above the stacked bricks, they kept a stone curved with the picture of Buddha’s birth. Maybe that was the spot where the tree could have been.
Later in the afternoon, we took a tuktuk to just make a round around the various kinds of Buddhist temple & left for Kapilavastu which was the ancient Shakya kingdom & where the Lord Buddha lived 29 years of his life (before he left for his path to enlightenment.) We met a local guide & he helped me learn a lot about the life of Lord Buddha 🙏😇 It was 23 KM away from Lumbini & we had to waste some time because our bus was only at 7:00 PM so we took the tuktuk which was a very long journey lol but was nice.
We took the night bus & the bus was so luxurious at a good price. We got sofa seats wali bus & it was so comfortable. It was 14 hours journey so. We arrived in Kathmandu at 9:00 AM the next day.
We actually planned for Marakita cave too but somehow we couldn’t due to the days limit as our trip was from 25th April til 5th May so.
Then the rest of the days in Kathmandu until 15th May was relaxing, doing some shoppings, trying out food & meeting people.
I had a nice time in Nepal & everything went smooth although some days were tiring & didn’t happen acccordingly to the plans but my friend was so cooperative & we both made good decision so that we don’t fall into troubles. I would like to thank everyone who took part in wishing me for my this trip & in everything I did.
And to all the viewers, thank you for your patience & support😇
