Thanks for posting, I was on this trip and it was quite obvious we had done something special on the run up to grayrigg and shap. A very happy looking crew when we arrived at carlisle. Well done lads!
I will hopefully be soon in your nation, and note some areas such as parts of southern England's Somerset have had good rains, enabling steam traction resumption on for instance West Somerset Railway, while others including I gather East Kent and East Anglia remain very dry, to which you allude. Looking at the UK Met Office, norain predicted for southern England in the next seven days, but let's hope God sends it down shortly thereafter. The usual great footage with a pleasing performance from this loco (thankfully unassisted by a diesel) even if some locations repeat from earlier videos. Unavoidable.
Excellent which I have come to expect from your efforts. As you say the climb up to Aisgill was more the "shuffling "sandpaper " of the Bulleids as we used to say in the 80s re City of Wells !
Brilliant photography as usual. A matter of preference of course but is that one hell of a good looking loco? Great to see them stretching their legs on the main line especially on the S&C. All the best. Mick.
