During "In The Forest Of The Night" episode, the Doctor talks a lot about how the timeline can be rewritten. Which essentially sets up how Danny and Clara's descendants can be wiped from the timeline.

2:34 that Cyberman head was from the second doctor story, 'The Invasion' in which the Cybermen crawl out of the sewers at the same place they are currently. There is a really famous shot of the Cybermen walking down a staircase at St Paul's Cathedral which was recreated in the last episode and the image was also previously re created using the cybus Cybermen from series 2

Michelle Gomez is hands down my favorite version of the Master. She plays the character so well! Keeping the Master erratic and less than sane, but also still incredibly intelligent and frightening.
Now you need to watch some Classic Who with the Brigadier in them, just so you can understand how strong the relationship between the pair was. This would mostly be during the Third Doctor's era, though he has been with the 2nd, 4th, 5th and 7th Doctors and met the 1st Doctor in the anniversary specials.
For a person who just lost his grandparents and dog it was hard to watch this when it premiered, people who are dead still feel what there body is feeling , that is spine chilling. Nice reaction btw 😄
I love Missy. She acts all quarky and she is but she has an objective. I love when characters have very round about ways of conveying emotion. Doing something so dramatic may seem like an overreaction over something like wanting a friend back. To some it might seem overboard but I find doing something big and complex to convey simple emotions puts more weight on how emotions can really push people. Showing how intense that emotion is.

Season 8 had my favorite finale/2 parter, or at least one of them. Because it really took a deep dive into its characters and painted them with various complexities that this show has rarely had, and it asked some really good questions. I feel like this season, these characters, and this two part finale is criminally underrated.

Actually, Missy being the Master was the most popular theory during Series 8, so a lot of people could see it coming, but still a lot of hype was there during the reveal.
I’ve always seen Missy as the 11th Doctor’s version of the Master. The purple Victorian outfit and the quirkiness, in many ways the 11th Doctor inspired Missy’s portrayal of the Master since behind the scenes she appeared in the final season of Matt Smith’s era, and let us not forget she brought Clara and Doctor together during that time.
It takes a very rare individual to resist Cyberman programming. It takes exceptional love or willpower. Danny Pink was not the first. Do you remember Yvonne Hartman from Season 2 ("I did my duty") , Miss Hartigan from the Specials (the Cyberqueen) and Craig (and baby Stormageddon). The Brigadier was dedicated to defending Earth.
I love how Missy pokes her head out from behind the TARDIS at 11:42 when the Doctor comes down..just further cemented her as my favorite modern regeneration of the Master.
OH YES. SEASON 9 NEXT! And I really hate it technological Cybermen. I prefer Cybermen stories to go into the horror of humans being turned into grotesque, emotionless reflections of themselves.

Mark 3:15. Funny that you should mention, "Iron-Man"! After I saw the first movie of his, I complained more than once, whenever I could, that the FX team failed to do the research! A guided-missile or space shuttle, uses solid-fuel booster rocket engines that leave a smoke wake behind them, that is darker than that left behind by liquid-fuel main rocket engines. They imposed Tony's image onto a launched vehicle from, I'm guessing, Vandenberg, AFB, thinking it would give them the "realism" they strived for. Those rocket engines don't refuel in mid-flight! They are "one and done", except when recovered that is. Tony's suit, and the Cybermen's suits, don't have that sort of built-in fuel storage capacity. But not only that! Repulsors, would not have contrails as they don't burn fuel in the first place, like that. I imagined someone thinking that if they are larger on the inside then they would have fuel storage. But they aren't using jets or rockets, so that doesn't matter. Unless you have a large battery in mind? 🤔
I met the actor who played Danny. His name is Samuel Anderson and I'm his number one fan, I love him...lol... and even wrote a jazz song for him. He and I have talked on and off for nearly ten years. He's still my number one favorite actor. Clara does return in season 9. Orson Pink was just in one episode. They did ruin the story by having Danny bringing back the kid he killed. How do you explain that to the parents? How do you get him to the parents if they themselves aren't dead. It's just another story where it seems like Moffatt was drunk when writing some of these episodes.
Did you miss the little internal joke in the opening credits? Since the credits start with Clara claiming she's the Doctor, the credits are adapted to back up her story. 😂Her name is listed in the Doctor's place (i.e. before Peter Capaldi's) and they use a close-up of her eyes where the Doctor's usually are. @@SomeRandomGuy908 the doctor didn't like the fact he was a soldier and dating Clara, like a protective dad figure. It was to further his arch, danny's gripes never really made sense, like when he tried to mock the doctor by calling him sir constantly in the caretaker episode...it made no sense.
Because he's controlling and overbearing towards Clara. I had enough trouble with him before, but I think what cemented it for me is at the end of Forest of the Night when he fucking ORDERED Clara to go home and correct homework. I think his comments about the Doctor being an Officer was hypocritical because Danny acted like he was Clara's Officer and she his little Private to be ordered around.

It's because of how he was writtento call the doctor out. The doctor really didn't do much wrong to warrant danny's call out in this season. To the point he comes across as a killjoy
@@peaceunion5316 It also worked the other way around though. The Doctor called Danny out for stuff he didn't need to. It was a perfect balance
@@SomeRandomGuy908 the doctor didn't like the fact he was a soldier and dating Clara, like a protective dad figure. It was to further his arch, danny's gripes never really made sense, like when he tried to mock the doctor by calling him sir constantly in the caretaker episode...it made no sense.
it's always the companion's boyfriend swear down
Because he's controlling and overbearing towards Clara.
Well, if one cyber man can ignore orders… I can see the other father also ignoring orders.
