"So I just kinda followed these paths that showed themselves to me". The key word there is "followed": I have a feeling some people run in circles in their life because they're too afraid of taking the first step towards something new (risking failure), or they are blind to the opportunities that they stumble into. She could've been like "oh that guy applied for Julliard, good for him" and that's the end of that.
If you want to see a masterclass in acting watch the movie, Miss Sloane, with Ms. Chastain in the title role. She is insanely good. Her focus and concentration is exceptional. I’ve watched this movie at least once a month since I first watched it a year ago. Brilliant doesn’t even come close to describing it. It got lost in the financial problems of the production company, Europa. Otherwise, she would have won an Oscar for it.
Yep if I were a casting director I would say, "I want her." She got that magnetic energy that makes you not want to take your eyes away when she speaks. But nothing about her screams "Look at me!" Perfect captivating elegance
Jessica followed her intuition and now she's an Oscar winner. I'm absolutely thrilled for her win. She's a class act through and through, always trying to choose roles that promote compassion, integrity, and doing the right thing.
Her ability to be so sweet, so down to earth and so practical in person, yet play such a badass, as in zero dark thirty, amazes me! I've got a serious crush! 😂
I'm almost 40 and I still haven't figured out what I want to do. It's hard to achieve something when you don't know what path you should focus on. How do these people just "know it"?
Some people try something they have some interest in. If they continue to like doing what they have just tried over a period of time, that is when these people "know" that they have found their passion. Sometimes though, not everything people are interested in becomes their passion, they just have to experiment over different interests.
I'm almost 40 and that answer of what animates me most and drives me most has changed several times. The challenge of the performing arrs is that it requires immense dedication to make it a career. My dad is a high school theatre director who coached many students on their monologues that got them into elite conservatories. Several of his former students are professional actors. He told them all upfront that if they truly wanted careers, they'd have to make it the entire thing that motivated them when they were pursuing it. I do think it is an industry that requires super-human dedication, and it can still spit you up and dispose of you quickly. Almost no one makes it to Jessica Chastain's level of superstardom, but there are many working actors with solid careers. I think once you find your "spark" in life, you relentlessly pursue it. For me, that is travel abroad and learning as much as possible about the cultures of the world. Everything else I do is toward that goal, my work and savings and everything. My "spark" used to be the desire to earn a PhD, until I realized the desire was motivated an external need for validation rather than a genuine desire to earn a PhD. Before that my "spark" was professional music. I was a gifted musician who was coached by my teacher in high school toward a spot in a conservatory. When I was really little I wanted to be an architect. All of which is to say, I've never had just one "spark" in life. And that's OK. Each time I have one I pursue it intensely until I have left no stone unturned. To become as successful in a field as Jessica Chastain, your "spark" has to be a single-minded pursuit of something. She said here she has never, ever wanted to do anything else. The rest was both talent and luck. But she is single-minded in her pursuit. I think both ways of approaching life are valid. In the end, all we have is time. That we'll never get back.
Meeting and talking to the "Very Beautiful," Ms. Jessica Chastain "a few times," is a definite Wow!!!! in my short acting career, thus far,....lol.hahahaha "I can't even talk, just remembering back," Her personality, warmth, So genuine, Far surpasses,....any picture, "You" have seen,or image, She projects. She,would like For me,to call Her, "Jessica." "Wow!!!!"
I don't believe you, at all, like no way, like look at me I, know, her, I could break here with, a period, but why?, when God made, the amazing coma, and #namedropmuch? And your career now is it? Where can we watch you and your "Jessica"? 😂😁😃😄😆
People say yeah I want to be rich and famous and be an actor or a musician but they aren't willing to put in the hard work. Bradley Cooper went to film school, George Lucas went to film school, Jack Black took acting classes at 5 different schools, people go to Julliard, people take improv classes etc. It's not as simple as saying you want to be Rich and famous. Unless you are Kim Kardashian. 🤦
she said she got the car back before the call back and then immediately she says she was happy getting the car back because she got a call back??? which one Jessie???
Did y'all really have that hard of a time with this one? She ate lunch, car got towed. Later on, she heard that she made callbacks. This is the 2nd round of the audition. It is not a phone call. She didn't "get a call back". On her way to this callback audition, she got her car back. Timeline checks out.
She went to the audition, auditioned, was told to come back for callbacks, went and got her car, and then returned with the car for the callback. She said she was happy on her way to getting the car back, before the callback.
I Love JC.. She helped Octavia Spencer get higher wages on The Help. THIS 'SHOW' SUX THOUGH: SIX YEARS, 80 Female Guests; ONLY 5 of 'em African American
She speaks so beautifully
and looks too
Take that Nicki Minaj!
She enunciates very well so I think that definitely helps!
Yess so eloquent and feminime too
God she would be an amazing voice actress.

I know right
Sure, but why only that? She's one of the best actresses out there today.
Please don’t use Gods name in vain!
U seen Madagascar 3?
Hearing her talk about her career and path is so wonderful! It makes me feel like it's possible for me to make it too
"Dreams Do come True."
Yes, I love it!
Doubtful. Very doubtful.

Love everything about this woman, her class, her beauty, her acting chops, she is the best actress in the business, just my 2 cents
Her soft voice reminds me of miss honey from Matilda especially when she says “school”
One of the most stunningly beautiful women I've ever seen, she blows me away with her grace. So talented and well spoken too.

Her Voice is so beautiful!!
Im in love with her eyes like wow she's captivating
She's so pretty.
Is it weird that she reminds me of Lana Del Rey?
For me I see young Geena Davis.
Moe Dihani I see both. If Lana Del Rey and Geena Davis had a baby it would be her
i literally just thought this and scrolled down and i was so surprised
Puff Ball , I think it's the eyes
Puff Ball SHE DOES!!
Jessica followed her intuition and now she's an Oscar winner. I'm absolutely thrilled for her win. She's a class act through and through, always trying to choose roles that promote compassion, integrity, and doing the right thing.
I have something in common with her. When I was taking classes at Julliard I had my car towed.

The greatest to ever come out of Julliard: Jessica Chastain, Christopher Reeve and Robin Williams.

i need you to interview adam driver ahaha
I love her
And just think... she was turned down for a role (can't remember which one) because she was told she wasn't attractive enough.
I was going to say the casting director must have been blind, but then I realized that her voice alone is rather attractive.
What a beauty!
It's actually Juilliard, not Julliard. Common mistake.
she's gorgeous all around.
This woman is gorgeous
Of course her car got towed....so SF
Getting towed in SF is brutal.
It’s spelled “Juilliard.” With love.
She’s so beautiful like in every way 🧚🏻♂️👩🏻🦰👑
She'd make an amazing ASMR artist
She is Beautiful!!

If ASMR was a person.
Absolute knockout
What happened to this show?
She looks beautifully similar to bella thorne
None of your videos have a thumbs down!
I love Maya 100%. 100% freaks CIA Director out
I like that she took down OBL.
*Juilliard
come on at least Jessica Chastain's interview have to be in colors
where is julliard ?
Jake Figueroa new york
he was trying to be sarcastic. It's Juilliard actually.
Juilliard made its name as a music school, acting school is just bonus added
She is so painfully attractive.
Her name alone makes me think it belongs to a beautiful, sexy woman- and it does!
Does she mention in her interview that Robin Williams paid for her education at Juliard?
I really like her chin. Beautiful woman.
Really The most Beatiful!!😘
they spelled "Juilliard" wrong
When you think of all the annoying interviewers out there, you really appreciate someone as capable as Sam.
she said she got the car back before the call back and then immediately she says she was happy getting the car back because she got a call back??? which one Jessie???
it's me well she said she went and got it back at lunch so I assume she got the callback at lunch and then went and got her car

A bit surprised to read she's from California. She seems like she's suppressing an accent.
Wonder how much that tow ticket cost her mom.
IT'S FUNNY...... the black-and-white film hides her gingerness! you almost believe she has a SOUL when watching this!
ALMOST. 😉 😈😈😈
Marry me Jessica. Please God someone make her marry me
knew it was mine... give me a break almost no one actually has a career acting.
Blank canvass. I guess that makes a good actress. I guess.
Jessica, if you're reading this - I got approved for a hall pass. Message me asap please!
Why are these black and white again?
man this guy only interviews youish people....wonder why.....
Boy speak wit yo chest.
God, she's hard to look at.
No offense, but WHAT A BORING STORY 😄
Stories like hers restores your faith in Julliard acting educations (after community theater-level jokes like Adam Driver completely demolish it).
