If there’s anything I’ve learned in life- you can plan all you want but you never know what’s going to happen. It’s important you stay open minded and I’m sure your kids appreciate you listening to them and considering their experience.

I take up 2 parking spaces sometimes because I am in a Toyota Tundra Crewmax and I'm a girl and I want to. 🤣🤣 BUT we do park towards the back of the parking lot. So It isn't so bad.
As for moving, I would not do Boise...heard it isn't the city it used to be. St. GEORGE seems to have some good feedback.
Definitely not moving to the actual city of Boise but just meant the treasure valley area 😋

It makes me think of the new “bird nesting” thing co-parents are doing…I so wish I knew about this for my 18 yr old son when his dad and I broke up when he was 6! My son always hated packing up all his stuff each week and going back and forth to mom and dads. The new “bird nesting” thing is the kids shouldn’t have to deal with the burden that came from the parents so kids stay in one home while parents switch houses each week. We so often assume kids are fine with whatever’s parents decide but we should always remember to listen to them too❤

It matters how they feel and what’s best for your family emotionally, mentally and finically. Yes you can afford it but if nobody in the fam wants to be travel why spend the money doing it. When you can spend the money on so much other things. I think the kids will appreciate the space too not so close together the older they get.

I can’t imagine living in such a small space with 5 people and 2 animals. I’m sure your kids are probably missing school friends and activities too. It’s not like you can’t still travel once and awhile. Certainly don’t want to get burnt out on one of your favorite activities. It’s refreshing to see people with the same parenting approach as we have. We respect our kids and include them and listen to them about major decisions. We don’t do as our parents did and simply say “we are the adults”. In reality if your decisions affect them, they should be able to have an opinion about it as well. Kids deserve respect too. Thank you for respecting your kids and valuing their opinion.
