still dont understand why they spent all that money re doing the track ect to oldham mumps station for the metro link ect only for them to take it all up and divert it into the town centre just before the tunnel ect ..well i do sort of as made it better for stops in the town center ect but tbh it went along union street then onto were mumps station used to be all be it to the left of the original line ect ...i suppose doing it outwighed the long term costs of maintaining both tunnels on the aproach to mumps and the viaduct the went after it on the way to rochdale! ..lot of history lost with doing that even though both tunnels are still there the big viaduct was demolished ..still seems strange to me when i visit back home and go to Oldham not to see mumps viaduct there!

Brilliant video! I never travelled on the Oldham Loop as a heavy rail line but travelled on this not to long after it opened!

This was one of my early efforts, lesson was learnt, my later productions have stills for longer period.

These trams can never compare to the sight and sound of class 31's and mark 1 stock running this line before they destroyed it all for these things.
