  • Trains from California Northern, Union Pacific and Amtrak converge on Suisun Junction, where Cal Northern's Schellville Branch interchanges with Union Pacific's Martinez Subdivision. The Cal Northern job out of Napa Junction (Lombard) with CFNR 111, NWPY 6412 and NWPY 6413 (on lease to the Cal Northern following the FRA shutdown of the Northwestern Pacific in September, 2001) heads to the UP interchange. Amtrak #6, the eastbound California Zephyr passes followed by a pair of Capitols stopping at the Suisin-Fairfield station about a quarter mile east. An eastbound AWSNP auto train loaded with brand new Toyotas out of Warm Springs (Fremont) passes the Cal Northern switch job on the west leg of the wye while SP 8367 heading up the MRVSJ makes an appearance at the end. Suisun, California. April, 2002.
