Erie Canal Old Lock 61 of the Enlarged Canal.
This is in the town of Macedon NY, right across the road (east) of current Lock 30. I have been told that these are also known as "Municipal Locks"

That lock is so narrow. Is that what they all were like before they rebuilt the canal?

@@PaulTomblin yes. The museum at Port Byron has a whole bunch of info, and two dry locks. Worth the trip

Btw, did you notice there is actually TWO side by side chambers there? Just closer to ABX, the green trench is the second chamber. Most of the enlarged locks (all?) were double
