    Is it necessary to have a mid-board daggerboard or will the typical SUP tail-daggerboard also work?

    I’m looking for something to do when there isn’t enough wind to kiteboard (which seems like nearly everyday). This looks like a good activity but how much wind is needed for this?
    Also will this help me once I start kiting on a directional?

    Hello, very informative video. I am looking to buy my first sup. I cant decide on the length of the board though. Would you recommend a 320cm board or 380cm? I am 186cm 80kg. I was going to buy a touring sup but is it better in combination with a wing or is a allround board better?

    Good video but you covered a lot really quickly. A video on how to sup foil upwind would be great for many people!! Thanks for the video.
    I’m just got up on foil yesterday with my wing for the first time!!! Foiling is a whole other level!!

    Wing Sup is basically the 2020 version of longboard windsurfing with the advantage it can help transition you into Wing Foiling. How well does it go upwind?

    • @SamLight
      @SamLight  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It doesn’t go upwind as well as longboard windsurfing

    Nicely done , I only wish these videos were available 12months ago .
    keep up the good work Sam.
    Question : will a 2000 high aspect Foil have less lift than the same area low aspect ?
    i'm finding my sabfoil 1100 2000cm nice and quick with good glide but not as much lift at low speed my friends 1850 f-one.......
    BTW 104 kg using a fanatic Skywing , Sabfoil 110 and 4m 5m and 6m Ozone wasps
    also would be good to know for begginers should they invest in high or low aspect to start with ?

    • @SamLight
      @SamLight  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, high aspect foils have more lift than equivalent surface area low aspect foils but HA are less forgiving so there is a trade off, however you can use a smaller HA foil because it has more lift.. something in the middle is good for a beginner. The trend is moving towards higher aspect foils as they are more efficient which results in more speed, lift and manoeuvrability

    How large of a wing is needed for foil surfing on a 10-11-foot SUP with winds of 10-15 knots?

    Nicely done! Learned to foil the past 2 seasons on a Lift Efoil. Now time to learn to wing foil, starting with wing sup. :)

    Can I generate a bit of movement with a 2.5 m2 wing at 3 knots wind with 6 knots gusts?

    • @oaiaferoce
      @oaiaferoce 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I tried it today, I mostly paddled for 3 hours. Only twice did I catch some wind. As winter comes and as I have a 4/3 wetsuit, I hope I'll be able to learn these things. Looks very cool.
