Yes. Canada has no problem with dual intention. All you have to do is declare when and where necessary.

Hi Yemisi', thanks for this information, l thought this route was cancelled sometime back, coz they realized most students use this, hence become permanent resident earlier than expected, but from ur video, is it only open for those spouses, with skilled jobs? Thanks
SOWP is open to people whose students are students under the categories I mentioned.
SOWP to PR in one year is for those who have worked skilled jobs in Canada.

Hi Ms. Yemisi... I just have a question, what if the SOWP is not in a skilled job, say he's in a NOC C or D, would he still gonna be qualified to apply for PR? If yes, which pathway? Thanks in advance.
PR has its requirements.
So you may want to check out provincial pathways but if they also require at lease a C then he may need to get a NOC C job to qualify.

Hello sis, I came to Canada with my husband and 3kids, my husband and kids has studied permit and i have SOWP, my question is i am working as a PSW for 5months now will i be able to apply for PR after one yr of working .
It depends.
Probably for a provincial route.
Largely express entry requires job with NOC 0,1,2 and 3.
If your job is under those NOC, then you can.
Otherwise, check your provincial website to see what jobs qualify you for a PR.

Can one apply for a visit for the new spouse. How long will it take and can the person work in canada. Thank you once again for all your videos.

You’d do every other thing that you’d have done when you’re in Nigeria.
But medicals are valid for 12 months so…

For federal skilled workers? Yes. But for provinces? It depends. Some provinces do not need IELTS depending on the category you applied to.

I don’t know if truck driver is a skilled job but you can search skilled A jobs in Canada on google and see the list.

Sure. You’ll apply as a family. Make yourself the principal applicant for study and your spouse gets the SOWP. I mentioned that in the video. Some people move with their spouse/family from the beginning.

Can I get married after getting student visa, or will it be advisable to go to canada, and come back few months from there to get married.
I don’t think there is a difference. If you applied for the study visa as a single person already, just do the marriage so that you can start processing the SOWP and he can join you. If the SOWP comes out before you leave your country, then even good. Both of you can travel together.
