They want to separate Justin Jefferson from the Vikings so badly
Same thing in the NBA where they wanted to separate J. Tatum and J. Brown of the Celtics
Yes, Not going to Happen! SKOL
Florio is pretty god awful right now. Can't wait for the contract signing to shut him up.
So sick of Florio right now. "pretty god awful right now" is too nice for him.
Thank you for saying this
Does no one believe that the trade up was just a smokescreen? Literally baited the giants to THINK we needed another WR. Also to show the rest of the QB suitors that we weren't looking for OUR guy (JJM). All this is just chess imo. Goes to potentially show how much Kwesi knows the game.
I don’t believe that at all. You’re rationalizing
Was thinking the same thing.
Not the first time the Vikings baited the Giants into doing something (when they signed Daniel Jones LOL)
Every now and then I look at houses on Zillow or go walk through the lot at a car dealer. Does that mean I "tried" to by a home or a car?
I get my oil changed at the dealership and go look at the new cars when I do. I guess i've got a whole fleet of new cars now, right?
JJ was the 5th WR drafted in 2020. #1 Ruggs is in jail, #2 Jeudy- Denver traded Jeudy to Cleveland for 5th and 6th round picks, #3 Lamb - best of the rest behind JJ, #4 Reagor - flops around the league as a perennial JAG, #5 Jefferson, best in the league every year. So Vikings wanted totrade the best WR in the league for a guy who will probably match one of the first 4 guys from 2020 just because of money. I’ll believe this when the man in the moon does a break dance.
What if he does a moon dance?😂😂😂
In all seriousness I totally agree with you. This is one of the stupidest takes from Florio and he has a lot of stupid takes
Calling an unproven rookie a #1 reciever is assinine asf
There's a lot of revisionist history that goes on these days regarding the NFL draft, its noise, nothing more, nothing less.
Oooh. Nothing more. Thats a good band.
Florios Sources is 98/100 (ALWAYS) FLORIO 😂
Florio's sources: "trust me bro"
I call BS on this "report." 😅
Florio's sources are the alien space worms in his head, Ultimate Vikings Anti-fan.
"Interregnum?" Mr. Carlson's grandiloquence approaches supererogation.
Viking are not gonna over pay him. Everyone needs to accept that.
lol
Sure bro. Its not even your money.
@@zackaryhaselius2226That has nothing to do with what I said. It doesn't matter what I or you or anyone else wants. The Vikings are going to pay what they want and are not going to pay over the market value. It's a business and that's the way it is.
@@opvikes7599 whats the market value then huh? Tell me.
Jefferson is the most important player thisbteam has had since...prime A.P? He puts this team on the map. Hes a great teammate and the fans and media love him. Hes the best WR in team history outside of Carter and Moss and hes on track to pass both of them anyway. Why in the hell would KAM not do whatever it takes to keep him? Thats dumb thinking.
@@zackaryhaselius2226 Nah your just emotional and not using logic. It's obvious,if the Vikings t going to make him top paid wide receiver. THEY have a number THEY want to pay. While JJ has a different number. Why do you think a deal isn't done yet. Lmao
In the vikings behind the scenes for the draft there's a clip where they said they didn't have to trade up to 4 to get him (jj) that shows they were not trying to do this.
You see how they treated Kirk when he was here. All of a sudden he's a bonafide winner. The media will start up about someone else on the team after the original JJ is signed. Tired of the media
What up Jeromes!
Trying to find out lol
Wassup jeromee
All last year in the Summer, they wanted the Tiimberwolves to trade KAT. Yeah, they want him in LA or GS. Teams they have to compete with.
Just to even think of doing such a stupid thing, like trading or letting him go or not paying him, the most idiotic thought known to Man🤯
I said before the draft that the talk about the Giants going QB was a smoke screen. They wanted Harrison Jr or Nabors ( why? 47 mil reasons) they wanted the Vikes to trade up to 4 to clear their path to WR1 of their choice. The Vikes likely countered with this. They were in on JJ if he fell to them.
If you are trading J Jefferson, you will have the other team pay dearly for his services. Several number ones's and other picks. Remember that Herschel Walker trade way back? Remember that Gobert trade recently? You dont trade stars for nothing. Herschel was a Running Back too
This makes no sense. Why would you trade JJ for Nabers, a guy who could be good, but just as easily could not be as good, and just forget about getting a QB. This is stupid.
Let's SKOL🎉
This one makes no sense.... not true
I’m sure Kwesi had a scenario where he trades Jefferson. It probably looked like this:
Dangle JJ with the second first and change to the Pats for 3
Dangle 11 and some day 2 picks next year to throw Chargers for 5
Hold on to next years first.
If both teams say yes which I and I’m sure the Vikings doubted, maybe it happens, Vikings come away with Maye and Nabers
The only reason it’s even news is because of Jan’s contract situation. I’m sure people call the Chiefs every year and go “you tired of Mahomes yet?” But that never gets reported.
This makes no sense. Trade up heaven and earth to get an unproven Malik, only to then flip the best WR in the NFL to get back what you paid???
Why is it so important for these people to drive a wedge between Jefferson and the Vikings? Until I hear something on the record from Kwesi or Jefferson themselves, I believe nothing.
If it was for pick 4 and Marvin Harrison Jr. I would believe the report but it’s not so I don’t
I'm fine with a move that is a forward pass, but this is a pointless lateral move.
Before “Silence on negotiations is a great sign that everyone is on the same page”
Now “Reports of trades/frustrations from sides is just ‘nothing to see here’ (baloney)
Hrmm
I call bs on this... he will sign shortly after Lamb signs his because both want to be hieghest paid wr.
We're in the doldrums of the off season, so folks put out wacky speculation stories just to fill the void. But if we're just speculating for fun, imagine for a second what could have happened had we indeed traded up to #6 and taken Nabors then traded JJ to ATL for #8, their 2025 1st, and their 2026 2nd.
We would have had to give up #23 and our 2025 1st to move up to #6. But now we have Atlanta's #8 and their 2025 1st, so we're essentially back to where we were before the trades with the addition of Atlanta's 2026 2nd. And with the #8 pick, we select...
McCarthy. We now have our QBOTF, a faster version of JJ, an extra 2026 2nd rounder and have both players under rookie contracts for 5 years. Basically, from one season to the next, you're hoping to have younger, cheaper versions of Kirk and JJ who won't break your bank for years to come. With 2025 being flush with cash, we sign a few stud vets at positions of need and avoid salary cap trouble for many years.
This would have never actually happened, but if Nabors really is as good as reported, you have to ask yourself if you'd rather have him at 75 mil/5 years or JJ at 200 mil/5 years.
Florio is a horrible person. He is desperately trying to sow discontent in Vikings' land. No one should EVER give him any credence at all. I truly believe he just makes crap up because he secretly hates himself and doesn't believe he deserves nice things -- so no other Vikings' fan can have nice things either.
Who cares, who they tried to trade up for? I would not care if they did. The Vikings got their QB and Edge. I was happy with this draft. I wasn’t with the first KAM draft. Don’t try to be shifty in the draft. I can’t wait to see these young guys play.
Yeah that wouldn’t make sense you don’t want all your big players within a year or 2. Nabers, Addison, and QB because then you eventually have to pay all of them. Makes sense pay Jefferson now because we don’t have to pay Addison and a QB for 3 to 4 years.
Yeah, we're gonna trade the best receiver in the league for a 'maybe good dude'.
New Jeromes Rumor/in-joke: #FlorioIsAClosetPackersFan
this would make no sense at all. to trade JJ we would need our qb or the future (aka JJ) and nabers. no way vikes would do it just for nabers.
Uh oh
They wanted MN in MN. I do not agree with it at all. Also think if it was Jettas JA and MN. You could throw any qb in there it wouldn't matter.
Dobbs is a qb. You want him throwing to those 3?
I love hearing all the dumb conspiracy theories lol
The WRs in this year's draft is way below the level of JJ when he was drafted....c'mon Florio! 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
The only way I could even fathom this is if the Vikes has money trouble(which they don't)... makes absolutely no sense... you're basically flipping a #1 wr for a possible #1wr... but unless you're getting your QB of the future the same time makes absolutely no sense... which if they did you don't get your QB???... honestly stop hating cause we smashed the draft! SKOL!...mf'ers
Makes zero fucking sense, why would we get a receiver if we needed a fucking QB,aswell as the chargers declining JJettas
Just want to remind people, JJ said multiple times publicly that he wouldn't take too much money away from the team. He lied. Its all about money, and we the fans don't matter. He would leave Minnesota the second his contract expires for ANY team that will offer up the cash.
If that's the case, he'll be the WR version of Cousins, money and stats over championships, and he'll wind up like other great Vikings wr that break records without winning a ring. Which actually would make him a liar, as i recall him saying he wants to bring a championship to MN. Most guys in the NFL are liars anyway, saying they what to help"their team" which actually means "make as much money as i can, because i have no real world skills to fall back on".
@@rpsoren Do you have a job? DO you want to make as much as you can if you do? DO you tell your boss, "No thanks, I don't need much for a raise, so lower it please?" Football starts as a game in high school ofr earleir for these guys, but the NFL is their livelihood and it's for a short time.
The CBA grants players 52% of the gross income of the league, and that determines the salary cap for the following year. This year 53 guys get to split a 230 million dollar pie. Why shouldn't the best players on the team, AKA the guys who PRODUCED the largest share of that pie, get the biggest pieces of it?
I don’t believe this
Florio should work for ESPN .... all garbage
With each passing day, I more and more want him traded.
🎵🎸Are you lonesome tonight?
Do you miss me tonight?
Are you sorry we drifted apart?🎸🎵
Don’t believe this one but bit
Not true but Nabers is gonna be a star. Wouldn’t have been the worst thing in the world, though it would’ve felt like it for a summer.
Not with Giants Online trying to protect Daniel Jones. That O-line has been bottom 5 except for the year Jones got drafted, so if you miraculous think that's going to change in one year, news flash, it isn't.
I'll do you one better, if Jefferson went to NYG i would bet you $100 he would just break 1k yards in 17 games. His stat line would be something like 67 rec for 1060 yards, 6 TDs. Yet somehow all these anaysits/fan boys think Nabers is gonna put up Jefferson rookie numbers, let alone career numbers, with a bottom 5 O-line and an inconsistent QB play from Jones?
5 QBs were drafted in 2020, Ruggs, Reagor, Lamb, Jeudy, and Jefferson. TWO of them are stars, BOTH of them going to good offensive teams with decent to good QBs. Nabers is going to the Giants. Are you telling me a rookie WR is going to put an entire bottom 1/4 team on his back and become a star? Child, puh-lease.
@@Tom-ut6ky Yeah I think the WR taken #6 is gonna be a star in the NFL. Not sure what anything you said has to do with him. Kid is a stud. Didn’t say he was going to bring the Giants to the Super Bowl as a rookie, I said he was gonna be a star. Garrett Wilson is a star and he’s had worse than Jones…What is a star to you?
@@rpsoren Nabers is way better prospect than Garrett Wilson and going to a better spot. I didn’t say he was going to immediately put up Jefferson numbers. I just said he was gonna be a star. 15 players have had 1,000 yards as a rookie in the last 20 years btw…not sure what your weird vendetta against Nabers/whoever you know that likes Nabers is but the guy is legit and it’s OK to predict the obvious.
@@hunt6872 Someone who's at least played a few NFL games and proved it.
JJ should be at OTA's , show some loyalty .
Start practicing with the QB's and Your TEAM . I get tired of some of these guys thinking their the most important one .
This is a TEAM sport .
I hope he signs soon and shuts everyone up.
Team voids contract and cuts player: "It's just business, sorry that's the nature of the game haha!"
Player acts like it's just business, once: "REEEEEE NOOOOOO NOT LIKE THAT!!!!!! TEAM SPOOOOORRTT!!!"
Bro. Its not mandatory. And the only reason hes probably not there is just an injury risk. Players get hurt in practice all the time. Just look at Teddy in 2016. So if its not mandatory, why go?
He's on a rook contract yet, doesn't have a workout bonus, so he doesn't get paid. Do you give away work to your boss without getting paid to show loyalty? I never did.
@BadMenite know the dynamics before you speak... the team has no problem with him not being there... cause they know the dynamics
@@vincentthomas1967 Yes, obviously, that's my point. It's just business. You should be @ing OP instead.
Get rid of the diva
Sounds like some more boring BULLSHIT!!
Trade towns he’s too soft
Kwesi f up by not signing JJ after he got the GM job
A rook can NOT be extended before he completes the 3rd year of his contract, which was JJ last year. Kwesi became GM in 22, a year before JJ was even elegible for an extension. You need to avoid becoming known as an ultracrepedarian.
