Thank you Prof Keith Ward for this piece of conversation: One that is often overlooked and misunderstood, yet is a part of all of us. Life and Death, transcendental.
This was very interesting. I'm quite familiar with much that was covered here yet the diverse views and experiences expressed by your panelists were further enriching. BTW, your link above doesn't lead to a functioning site.
What the kind philosopher Keith Ward said was so original and he emanated such goodness, which is fundamentally all that matters.. A "Know it All" attitude would have little place in this discussion. Wonderful panel, thank you.
Have you completely trusted Jesus Christ and his accomplishments at Calvary? As someone that suddenly “met” the demons assigned to me from birth, I subsequently reasoned that what they didn’t want me to do (completely trust Jesus Christ) was what I needed to do. My testimony is accessible from my page.
I don't agree that the world would not exist unless human consciousness is perceiving it, otherwise how did the world exist without humans for millions of years as it was forming?
@@johnnastrom9400 It was a double negative - I am saying the world WOULD exist without human consciousness, maybe with Dinosaur , Plant and insect consciousness....
I've never been able to reconcile the Christian concept of eternal damnation for a few decades of mischief. It's always seemed a bit extreme and devoid of love. Seems more like a device to control the faithful. Yep.
No need to invite religious people, be they professors, academics.etc. No academic at all in terms of real thing ,truth is concerned. Science is the only yardstick. Experience is second, they are at least evidence. Theology, religious faith, fables, mythology etc have no value when it comes to truth or true knowledge
I mean the opinion of the priest or religious believers has no academic value. They are indoctrinated, nurtured or groomed to believe the lies myths fables as true.
What we do know is that materialistic science cannot make sense of the behavior of particles. Yet we don’t deny the phenomenon. If atomic (materialistic) science is mute about subatomic world, why should we expect it to have any say in regard to consciousness? Moreover, sapiential sense is the mind's ability to see truths that constitute reality and grasp things as they are in themselves. The seeing of these truths transcends the scope of the scientific method, which is limited to the data of the senses, and of logic, which is limited to unpacking the conclusions already contained in premises. Also, scientist, scholars and informed religious students know only too well that fables and myths can and do convey truth.

This is becoming a really good series of talks: I'm greedy for more!
Yes we do exist outside of the body i know this for a fact i heard a loud kiss right beside my ear one day when i was alone

The world we see with the color spectrum in our eyes would not exist
You're not understanding that consciousness goes beyond live humans.

It would have been nice to hear from the other people. I fell asleep at 45 minutes, like the guy on the screen.
😂
Hes going to soak you up like a sponge too and a theif that steals your individuality for his own sake!

There's no clear evidence of life after death 😂
consciousness has nothing to do with spirituality. it's all a physics we dont yet comprehend.
the way scientific inquiry should work: unless you can test and prove it experimentally, it does not exist
@@zzc8505 So the world was still flat in the 1500's? They couldn't prove the World was round, yet it was. It s a lack of science, not reality.
