Glad to see Stevie B back! I work on odd musical progressions, and attempt to develop my own presets with software in beta or opensource offerings. I will double down on those things. I love writing music I would not be exaggerating to say I physically suffer from migraine headaches and distress and disgust listening to production and contemporary music. Pretty much every musical cue in a modern movie or TV genre after 2018. I can not tolerate I am happy that Pond5 does not reject most of my music .I know its not the cue but what what you say and literally write in text and reference. I am happy that new platforms accept my music. I am wondering if Deezer nuked some of my music. There were apparently 26 million tracks? Just me, but I need to either go back to school to better understand so called 'genres' and theory or live with myself and stay neutered and proud
@@MakeMusicIncome Id say near 60 years is enough and getting physically beaten by a music teacher. Ten years gone, no existence due to health. Art school was far worse. For a brief time I shared my life with a biologist and my partner answered my annoying questions with practical answers and strategies I figure I am equipped to think and study, and my memory is not shabby. If I am spending more than 30 minutes deciding on how I to interpret a rather 'patronizing ' reply. I am logically studying and likely to formulate some musical progression out of that, feeling,
Hey Eric, Great info 👍🏻 Eric do you know if it is okay to pitch music that have been previously sold on non exclusive libraries to exclusive libraries? Say if it s okay to sell on AJ then delete the tracks and pitch them to an exclusive library?

I thought that for them the main thing is to have exclusive rights from the moment the contract is signed. What is your strategy on this matter? Do you also sell music somewhere before you have that 10-12 track album?
Just had a listen to Suno v3... and ... was shocked at how good it can be. For someone looking for background music for their video, I have the feeling it will totally fit the bill. Totally agree on your P5/AJ point here :)
I just had a play around with Suno.. must say the results instilled a feeling of dread in me. I'm trying to figure out though, are the results actually truly "generated from scratch" or does it basically rip off music already out there and re-purpose it for its own results?
AI will not affect the stock music industry. It’s only a tool that in the long run will help a producer’s workflow and creativity. The key problems we face in the music industry today are market saturation, subscription models, track price devaluation, etc.
Hate to say it but AI will replace most instrumental music. This will be a race to the bottom. If the stock music licensing avenue is gone because AI replaced btw that's exactly why the Hollywood writers and actors went on strike...then everyone will race to synch for tv and film, why cause fear of coypright infringement if u use AI? Supervisors are not going to gamble with that so more and more ppl will complete for the tv and film opps so again less and less opps for composers/songwriters and producers for synch. Trust me AI companies will be raking in the cash that could of gone to creators. People will definitely be getting rich and it won't be Music composers/writers and producers it will be AI companies from music you and many many other music creators composed.
I do not think you are wrong. I think we are best to focus on the music we love to make and find an audience for it. Stock was never going to pay everyone’s bills, and Sync won’t either unless you have 1000-2000 songs in libraries, and/or are working hard to build a network of agents and supers. Most people won’t do that, which means it’s a hobby, which means they can be replaced like tech has replaced hobbyists for centuries. BUT, that doesn’t mean you should keep making the music you love, finding people who love to listen to it, and then market to them. A tale as old as time.

I have taken out my more serious artist stuff from AI training libraries like P5 and Audiojungle. But left in stuff I wrote for stock.

Where's the proof that "AI" is going to replace anything? There is none. You've been watching too much TechCrunch or whatever.
