This morning while walking my three dogs past a Starbucks, in Santa Monica, I passed a team of firefighters who came all the way here from Eugene Oregon. When they saw my three amigos, two Golden Retrievers, and a Bernese Mountain dog, these brave men perked up as we approached and immediately started hugging my dogs. After about 10 minutes of dog play and conversation I bid these firefighters a farewell, and told them to be safe, and how much I admire and appreciate them for their dedication to fighting these fires.
You are truly pathetic and you should be ashamed of yourself. You should be doing something for them but instead you just parade yourself in front of them like your better. That was not a warm and fuzzy story in fact it just showed how selfish you are as a human being
God bless all the brave firefighters coming from near and far, including Mexico and Canada, to help battle these devastating fires. Your courage and selflessness in putting your lives on the line to protect others make you true HEROES . May God bless you, keep you safe, and give you strength as you continue this difficult work. Your families must be so incredibly proud of you all. Thank you for your service. ❤
All Accolades to the true Heros! ( Firefighters), worldwide! Strength, determination, putting their lives on the lines to save others! Ty, Ty, Ty sending expedited prayers and healing from 🇨🇦!
Praying for the safety of every humble, heroic firefighter., EMT and first responder. They EACH deserve a comfortable quiet hotel room with all of the amenities during these difficult challenging weeks. Why aren't motels / hotels in the L.A. area paying it forward to fire fighters right now ?? They need some sleep, hot showers, comfortable quiet rooms for rest. Thank you to every fire fighter in the United States, Canada and Mexico for helping L.A. So many heroes !! Hoping that when L.A. residents see a firefighter off duty they take the time to thank them. And donate money to their fire station.
I would gladly donate if I had it, but my prayers go out to them because they work in very hard conditions. May God bless them and please DO NOT FORGET THE ANIMALS, THEY SUFFER.
God Bless all the Firefighters coming from many other states n CANADA to help. This is WHY Firefighters are called A BROTHERHOOD. I own 3 nice RVs. But Im in N.Michigan n cant get them to you. ❤
Donate RVs to these guys to rest what are the billionaires, millionaires and celebrtities doing….buy RVs used, or new and park them ….provide food and let them rest….such a simple idea….the wealthy need to come together look after gathering firefighters please….
I think that most of them already flee out the country to europe or elese where w their family make comfortable life so they careless about fire fighters where to sleep
Sadly it's not that simple. These guys literally cannot be moved off those front lines for any reason - that's just how tinder dry & dire a situation things are You can't be clogging up these narrow roads with things like RV's which will only end up being major road blocks & obstacles getting in the way if/when you need to very suddenly & quickly deploy/redeploy 100's of men and their equipment within minutes to meet a threat. They say they get 24-on/24-off, but in truth, the guys who are "off" just means you're not actively patrolling for/responding to spot fires. The second anything really happens, it'll be an instant all-hands-on-deck deployment because of how dangerous the winds are.
I’ve never thought about this particular detail. I feel so incredibly grateful to all of the first responders here in our city and anywhere throughout the world where they serve to save life and property. Is there a word in English that means the highest form of Hero? These men and women are absolutely amazing. May God bless each one of them and keep them safe. …and, thank you to the families of the first responders, who will be spending their next few days, worrying about their loved ones who are here in Los Angeles keeping us safe.
THANKS TO ALL WHO HELP, THANK U FOR COMING FROM ALL REGIONS, THANKS TO COMPTON, EAST LOS ANGELES, AND THE PEOPLE IN LOC---UP GLAD U TOOK UP CLASSES TO HELP OUT AS WELL
I wish they could have better sleeping circumstances. They need good rests and deserve to take showers. If i was in one of those nearby homes, i would extend my home for use to a couple of firefighters.
Years ago a vehicle hit a power pole snapping it half ,across the street from me on midnight Christmas eve. After the ambulance took the wounded away, the firefighters put out the car fire, the firefighters had to stay until the hydro workers came to cut the power to the pole and fix the pole which was at least a few hours. I took coffee and shortbread cookies out to the firefighters and offered the use of our washroom. I don't understand why the residents of these houses are not offering hospitality to these firefighters. Are they aware these firefighters are sleeping in the trucks?
God bless everyone. My deepest condolences to everyone effected by this tragedy. Thanks you to the firefighters from the bottom of my ❤, you guys need capes because you truly are heroes.
This is what makes America great, citizens working, doing not just their jobs but their lives and their neighbour's lives. Never mind the rich folks, it's everyday Americans who make the country great.
I was on a strike team at the 93 Malibu fire and we sleep in our rig the whole time we were there. If you’re fighting fires when it comes time sleep where you sleep is not as important as being fed. You’re so tired the however in the back works great. I was in the Marine Corps in the 80’s and slept in my truck there as well
Californians you need to open your doors to these people and give them coffee and food. Making them sleep in their trucks especially in front of your house. Thats a pathetic sight to see. At invite them in for a shower and make them breakfast..geez!
shameful. It's freaking cold out there. Can't someone prove them with some sleeping bags and a access to a shower? Perhaps a gym giving facilities to visiting first responders?
If I had any first responder crews in my area, I sure would be out there with whatever I could do to keep them refreshed and ready for action. Truck sleeping ISN'T restful sleep. Been there, done that!
The Firefighters are heros. How can hanging around for 24 hours, waiting for a call, grabbing sleep in their truck when they can, not wear them down? I think thats putting them in danger. They need to be taken care of properly, so they can do their jobs. Why can they get a bus with bunks, coffee, food, bathrooms & water so the firefighters can at least be comfortable for the 24 hours they are on call?
Those peopel that complain about fire fighters.. you’re the first to scream for help and the cops.. and you wanted to defund police , take away budget from fire fighters. ..
@@loboxx337 Sorry if you misunderstood me. Maybe I should have written: "All those homes." Any home, at this point, is nice, and would be a better place for the firefighters or any one else who needs shelter. I wasn't comparing homes.
If it was near my house ...Hell atleast open the garage Lay out some chairs Offer a bathroom Jugs of water .... In my parts we had a 4 day black out The local butcher handed out all the meat ...free of charge They set up BBQ's Another guy brought a power diesel And people charged phones And other items No one was in need
Thank you to all the firefighters from ALL over including MEXICO and CANADA....
Gov & mayor make comfortable accommodations for these firefighters. 24 hours working is insane. God bless them and keep them safe.
Iligal emigrants are more important for GAVIN NEWSOM???😢😢😢😅
@@SofyGail This guy is regurgitating right-wing media points and can't even spell. Oh the irony. Shows how educated they are.
San Diego!
oh god. like the mayor and gov can just fabricate beds and roofs. Maybe kick some people out of their homes?
Boy, whose fault the fire started? The democrats.
The real heroes, thank you. True Americans.
Not only Americans...Mexicans and Canadians !!! and fast majority of American firefighters are ex convicts !
My cousin is down there from Sacrmento helping with the fires.

Humble heroes. Humanity is hope
They are making big money. 500k. Not heroes... just heroes.
People, whose homes were saved, should open up their doors to these heroes.
Absolutely Right 🙏
Thanks you for your service and for caring ❤

Good reporting. I like this reporter
I apologize but this reporting is inaccurate. They do not sleep in the trucks. When the shift is over they go to a camp and sleep in tents.
God be with them 🙏🏻

They certainly are not doing it for the money. This is a selfless job. Thank you to all fire fighters.
True heroes
Like been in a combat zone all the way from Canada, Mexico and others from this country. Given it all to help a fellow man.
Huh. I remember the big hotels up at Lake Tahoe put up firefighters and law enforcement. One was the command center. During the Caldor fire.

shameful. It's freaking cold out there. Can't someone prove them with some sleeping bags and a access to a shower? Perhaps a gym giving facilities to visiting first responders?
They deserve serious bonuses
There could be a way....pitch tents w/ cot in yards. I would bring them in, & figure it out, as I have tiny house
LAFD can learn from other cities and states. Let's implement these lessons learned here.
Heros!!! God Bless:)
Us electrical workers do the same when we go to other states. Very common
Yes! And, thank you!
If I had any first responder crews in my area, I sure would be out there with whatever I could do to keep them refreshed and ready for action.
Truck sleeping ISN'T restful sleep.
Been there, done that!
This is sad and embarrassing. Thank you firefighters from all over! Our Governor and Mayor should be setting up glamping tents for these guys!!!!!
LA has a budget of tens of billions!

All those nice homes they are protecting and these firefighters are sleeping in their trucks at the curb.

Wheres the fire camps for these guys
While the mayor and governor spent the night in luxury the fire fighter had no breakfast and had to go to the bathroom behind a tree!
Humble because they chose to serve. They put others before themselves. Quite the opposite of the Hollywood celebs.
Why isn't the military more involved.
Firefighters are so attractive 😍
Living out on truck while Hollywood is down the street and people still in there mansions can’t even lend them one
Where's the accommodation for these guys, they totally deserve it. A place to stay to sleep and rest?
This reporting is inaccurate. When the shift is over they go to camp and sleep in tents.
That’s nothing I been on storm sleeping in the utility truck.
They need to be provided with hotels or air bnbs some on Newscum get it together for once
So the city isn’t even offering hotels ?
I've read they're trying. But most are needed for citizens who were Evacuated.
It would be nice if some RVs were donated to the effort-nothing fancy just so they can sleep!

Where do they go to the toilet????
Find a accommodations for these fire people

Yes heros Angel's
They need earplugs. Trying to sleep at a sudden noisy atmosphere.
So what’s the big deal. I use to sleep next to a humvee in the Middle East on countless scorching bone cold nights for 20 hrs for months.
Gavin Newsome and Karen Bass will not last long sleeping in a fire truck.
they're humble because they get a really nice pension. and what about local churches, they can't open their doors to put some cots out?
