    "Why can't you unscramble an egg? Because when your tying to figure out the Nature of the Universe from a tiny rock in deep space, there are no stupid questions."

      Cheer up Dr. Bees!
      Though our day in the sun will not last forever, neither will the night. Everything ends, but Everything also begins. There are other worlds with creatures not unlike ourselves, calling their planet "Earth", calling themselves "people", where the symphony of variations of the theme of Life goes on and on and on. Or, as they said in BSG: "All this happened before, all this will happen again".
      When the music ends here, Eons and Voids apart Others elsewhere will don the garment of Being, just as we have. And They will live for all those who were and all those who are yet to be.
      They might not come up with our music, our poetry and art, but they will cherish theirs as much as we cherish ours. They may not have our moon, but their's will be as familiar and dear to them as ours is to us. They may not have our physiology, but it will be as natural and beautiful to them as ours is to us. They too will feel and learn and experience wonder and joy about the world and the Universe they represent. In all the ways that matter They will be Us.
      Once you notice that others are simply a variation of you and you are a variation of them, that we all are a variation of one endless theme, then you will see that all this shit, Dr. Bees, it never really ends. So make the most of it, live the best life you can live - with yourself and others in mind.
      Cheer up, Dr. Bees!

    I've heard before that if you were 65 Million light years away from Earth you'd see dinosaurs. What if somehow, someone was able to instantly teleport 65 million light years way and had a super telescope, would they be able to see and study dinosaurs? I know it's obviously not possible, but it's just one of those things i think about when i sleep.

      Gergely Hajdu Essentially it becomes a matter of relativity... it's complicated, but it can kinda be summed up by saying that you experience time differently by taking a "shorter" path. (ie get to the future quicker)

    For some reason the "Big Freeze" or heat death of the universe scares me. I mean I know humanity will likely be extinct by then and who knows what creatures will survive on Earth even a million years into the future let alone the 600 million to a billion it will take for the Earth to become a dead rock. However the "Big Freeze" implies that the entire universe will become dead with no chance for life anywhere. For the rest of the universe's existence . . .

    So if the big bang caused space to move that fast, does that mean space can move faster than light?
    Does that mean we can have warp drives?!

    • @JohnSmith-vl7zu
      @JohnSmith-vl7zu 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      warp is scifi.
      speed is not.
      if you even make "warp" you'll gain way more than 10G and "instantly" die painless, ...
      I believe the only solution is constant acceleration with 9G witch means speed is faster and faster each passing second. BUT the downside is: energy consumption, BECAUSE the faster you are more energy you need to spend to gain 9G, ...
      ANOTHER BIG downside you'll need a good breaking system because all the "faster speed of light" will need to get slower, ... with 9G constantly so you are able to land, ....
      best thing is using more energy to stop. so so much time you have been accelerating so much time you need to decelerate. in order to land.

      +Quenten Schoonderwoerd Well that's the ideal solution since it basically means the universe won't end in an eternity of cold blackness but could possibly find a way to begin again. But it depends on what Dark Energy does. If Gravity can find a way to overcome the power of Dark Energy or Dark Energy weakens then yes that is a viable end of the universe. However if Dark Energy continues as it has been and continuously goes up then more likely it'll drive everything in the universe apart and we'll be stuck in the aforementioned blackness of Heat Death.Problem is we know almost nothing about Dark Energy other than its driving everything apart

    That's what is fascinating about the human specie and that's why I have faith on it. Normal animals just have the usual schedule of exploring local surroundings, reproducing, eating, excreting and playing. Well, most humans are like that too, but there are individuals in our human specie who think outside the box (planet) and wonder what might be out there, far beyond our coordinates in the Universe. Unlike the inferior species of living animals, we not only know how to maintain our lives (well, most of us at least) but we try to find answers to everything too.

      Dan Gould No, it is not an attack on him, or anyone for that matter. It is just a correction. The word "specie" has a totally different meaning than the word "species."

    • @dangould5055

      Dan Gould I understand 100% what the OP is saying. I wouldn't saying the correction is unnecessary. I also understand that saying "specie" instead of "species" is a common mistake. That is the reason why I corrected it, so people do not make the same mistake.

    The thing I am imagining is that there is not just one universe, but more universes exploding and ending like he mentioned. But the bad thing about this is: We will never be able to explain it, because a lot of universes need also a source... And religious people will annoy us until the end of this universe... :(
    The answer: "God" is just to simple - The "instance of universe" we live in has proven to be so complex, that we can not even comprehend it. But that is what humans do: Imagining things for things they dont understand :)

    What happened before the big bang?
    what is the meaning of life?

    What happens after death?
    Where are all the aliens?
    Could we ever time travel?

      - I don't believe in souls or any of that stuff. but I
      definitely understand why people believe in religions (it makes them feel good
      about dying, gives them reason, comfort, and so on) but we don't live in a fairy
      tale.
      - I just think the meaning of life is to do what you want to do, so you are happy.
      - we are trying to accomplish a better society.
      - we do matter to the people around us.
      - humans are just intelligent animals.

      -We are incapable of knowing (yet)
      -The meaning of life is to survive, learn, pass knowledge, grow, and evolve.
      -We will probably visit exo-planets in a few thousands years, I mean we can already travel to mars. Technology is advancing in quite a fast rate that's why im optimistic about this.
      -Depends in what you believe in.
      -There out there, but there are just a few problems. They might not be advanced enough, there technology might be different from ours so we cant communicate or be heard, or they died out through time. Theirs this thing called the fermi paradox which you might be interested in, its all about the probabilities of different kinds of aliens and there existence. just search up fermi paradox on youtube and click on the first video.

    • @KingOfGamesss
      @KingOfGamesss 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +neverAskMeWhy07 There are two main questions...the first lesser question is, What is the meaning of our Lives? and the second more important ultimate question is, What is the meaning of existence?....the first question is for each person to figure out on their own and come to their own conclusion answer like I did (my personal answer is...The meaning of life is to live for the afterlife, for the possibility of it's existence). The second ultimate question is unreachable by any Human...I do not know the answer and I doubt anybody ever will in this life...all we can hope for is that the answer is revealed to us in the afterlife. So my advice is to not worry about things we cannot know the answer too...just live your life and do your duty until your end while believing in the possibility of an afterlife for hope, comfort and reason.

      +KingOfGamesss Why assume that there is an inherent meaning of existence or the individual lives of all living organisms? I don't find those ideas particularly important or necessary, although I do understand why many find comfort in the belief of a specific reason for them being alive, other than being the result of the union of random gametes. Knowing that I'm the result of such random events makes me appreciate it even more, although unfortunately many others don't find the same satisfaction in this fact. Evolutionarily speaking, this creation of a "reason" makes sense, as the stress caused to those who may worry about it is detrimental to reproduction. Strictly speaking, the purpose of all life is to reproduce & carry on their genes to offspring, resulting in more life. Personally, I believe we should live each day to the fullest since we all have only one life to live, so we should make the best of it & never let a day be wasted. I feel that someone who's life was lacking due to striving for happiness an afterlife would realize the pointlessness of missing out on so much, could they somehow be conscious after death. Live each day like it's your last, since one day it will be. Treat everyone how you would like to be treated, even if they are rude. They may be going through a hard situation or simply have had a bad day (we've all been there:) Do what makes you happy & don't live your life according to what makes others happy. Have a great day :)

      i believe our place in the universe spawned when adam and eve ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and we had to learn from our sin.. and i feel like lucifer wasnt lying when he said we would be able to think like Gods, because once were able to learn everything necessary to fully be able to, as a race, ascend to heaven, we will have learned so much about the universe and how every evil action affects the universe in ways we can't even imagine yet, and how every good deed literally adds a positive energy that we can't put into words but is felt. once were able to control this frequency of good and evil with our minds, i believe we will be able to control telepathy and all kinds of shit like that.. Magic i believe is the lingering story of the universe just waiting for us to get our shit together

    • @michaelbanks1000

      MrZythFx holy shit! if you think about it... we all spawned from Adam right so when eve was spawned from his rib she technically was a clone of Adam only Genetically reverse engineered so that the y chromosome was nulled making eve offspring of Adam aka his daughter. So when Adam had "knowledge" with eve he was committing incest with himself/his daughter theoretically. This would also make Adam the first mother and father since he provided the DNA necessary for eves existence sorry eve you're runner up. also we have no idea if eve had a belly button or not since Adam is described as not having the lady parts to conceive since Adam is undeniably male as recorded in ancient bible docs (old version of Google docs). this would make room that eve was grown in a testtube came to Adam when she was sexually mature and conceived his children making her the first mother to conceive. Imagine that. Then the diversity in the world covered from Adams diverse genes. He is supposed to be the perfect man created from dust, but that serves as a metaphor, receding to the dust that accumulates on skin, as the creator molded his shape through advanced mathematics which is why he was perfectly symmetrical and so were his offspring. But as the perfect genes became lost after thousands of years of offspring mating with offspring and then the division at the tower of babal, which would be the marking point where Adams spawns made there way to separate regional s the genetic traits diversified and adapted to the region it was in meaning more Sun meant for darker tones and frigid less sunny areas meant for lighter tones. Also diet and life style affected this gene as well. this would shit on Darwinism with the evolution of h. Sayans and tell us that an alien being directly influenced human life. Of course this is all just theory... or is it?

      if we didnt get wiped out when we were down to 1,000, we wont ever get wiped out. We had a beginning, and the universe didnt. But only time will tell if we can ace the greatest test in all of history. Becoming immortal, and colonizing and dictating the universe.

      The big bang theory is proof the universe had a beginning. Weather there even was something before the universe is beside the point. If you don't believe it had a beginning, your disagreement is with the majority of scientists and the evidence supporting the big bang theory. Einstein didn't want to believe the universe had a beginning even his own equations proved it. He tried to avoid it by changing his equations, but in doing so made the mistake of deviding by zero.

    • @colmorourke5635
      @colmorourke5635 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      One theory is that the Big Bang happened in a void because of pure probability (a ridiculously unlikely probability, but effectively imagine checking every 3 seconds if 'anything happened yet' for several millions of billions of years). Now here is the trick, before the universe started time wasn't really a thing, so all those checks effectively happened at once.

    • @constcarry
      @constcarry 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Colm O'Rourke wow, this is truly science, all of this is in no way a belief system, certainly not like a religion. It's a good thing that Pure Probability was there in the beginning to play the Almighty Slot Machine of the Universe

    • @colmorourke5635
      @colmorourke5635 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brian B Is that sarcasm? Cause it does kinda make sense since pure probability does seem to make sense when you consider that particles and such randomly pop into a very fleeting (and for reasons I, definitely not a scientist, can't understand not in violation of the conservation of energy existence) understand it but in a very 'mind-rape' way.
      If correct it definitely gives the subtle jolt of 'what the *beep*' necessary to change the question from "how the *beep*" to "why the *beep*ing *beep*".

    • @charleslarue792
      @charleslarue792 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Brian B
      I would hardly call it a belief system. Any scientist worth his or her salt would say "We don't really know, but here are some ideas that the frontiers of physics give us. Until we can make observations to corroborate or disprove any of these hypotheses, we can't say either way." A belief would be more along the lines of "I know this is true, although I don't have any evidence to prove it." A common way of thinking, shared by the majority of humans, perhaps, but not the way science should be pursued.

    Apparently inside black holes, there is a singularity. And, as stated by Hank in the beginning of this video, the Big Bang also came from a singularity. From that same singularity came the universe and all that we know about it. We aren't sure what is inside black holes but because we know somewhere inside them lays a singularity, does it mean that a Big Bang can happen inside a black hole. And, does it mean that it is possible that inside a black hole can be a complete other universe sprung previously by the black holes singularity. What if our whole universe is inside a black hole? I don't know if there's a theory about this or not. If anyone knows please let me know!

    • @vabien3268

    This universe is so massive and so complicated, it's probably best that we don't delve too deeply into a topic of which we wont be around for, and even if we somehow managed to survive that long, wouldn't have any control over.
    It's still cool that people are able to predict this stuff, or at least are throwing around some of these things.

    I think it was "dimensional storm" instead of "Big bang" on the beginning!
    Now we have some chain:
    Spatial storm-> four dimension universe(current) --> dimension decomposition --> end of universe --> sepatated dimension --> dimension combine --> spatial storm --> new universe (with more or less dimension that have different energy)
