  • Neonatal sonography is a very important and indispensible tool for evaluating pre term and
    term neonates for intracranial pathology. It is readily available, portable, relatively inexpensive and safe. Premature infants are at a heightened risk for Intracranial hemorrhage. Up to 67% of pre term infants born before 32 weeks gestational age develop intracranial bleeds. There is also a variety of intracranial pathologies that can be detected via Ultrasound like; Hydrocephalus, Vascular anomalies, developmental abormalities, and conditions related to infectious processes.

    Thank you! I've read 50 pages on neonatal head ultrasound and listened to 4.5 hours of lecture..and your 26 minute video has been the most succinct informative source for me to understand. I have never written a comment on TH-cam. But I had to this time. I appreciate you! Thank you for putting the information out there in an organized way with visuals. I have subscribed.

    Thanks for the video Henry. It’s always good to review knowledge and your enthusiasm for sonography always comes through in your presentations. Even though I’m winding down my career (31 years as a sonographer/echocardiographer, and 5 years in Nuclear medicine), I find your videos extremely helpful for review and also for my students who are always directed to your website.

    Awesome video, thank you! I loved how you didn't talk too fast for me to follow and thought the labeled pics were the best I've seen so far! Many times, even in some of my textbooks, I can't tell where they are pointing to or what I'm supposed to see as a landmark. You have cleared some of that up for me, thanks!!!

    you rock, I'm always going back to your videos for refreshers and new knowledge. You're videos keep on helping me out, glad we both have the GE10 ;), unfortunately we didnt get the baby head probe with it :(. if you ever want to do a deeper dive on images and cases of GMH and differentiation between that and the fornix, foramen, CP, etc it'd be greatly appreciated, those early GMH's are when it gets tricky...

    I want to get into sonography but I’m scared about the injury risk. I was wondering is neurosonography a less of a risk compared to the other specializations. And after you get your two year Degree do you need to specialized to be a neurosonographer?

    • @SonographicTendencies
      @SonographicTendencies  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can’t specialize in neuro because it is just one of the exams you’ll do as a sonographer.
