OUR STORY SO FAR:
We are Cory & Kristen Williams and in August 2014 we made the long drive from Southern California to Alaska to move into our new home in Eagle River. Here we’ve had the chance to explore Alaska, experience lots of wild events, meet lots of great people and endure the extreme temperatures that the north is known for. On December 20th, 2014 we got engaged after our Polar Plunge under the Northern Lights then later married by our favorite lake on May 23rd, 2015. Then on June 23rd, 2016 we had our first child. A baby girl named Chell.

WHAT DOES "DudeLikeHELLA" MEAN?:
"Dude" is me, Cory. I am the dude. "Like" is a joining word which is used to express similarities and "HELLA" is slang for "a lot" or in my case, "the greatest amount". So together, "DudeLikeHELLA" means "The best me I can be".

One thing I love about you guys, are the homeyness of your vlogs. It's down to earth just at home vlogs. I kinda miss that in the other vlogs I watch.

I've never really been into following a TH-cam channel or anything but someone on my Facebook shared the video of when you found out she was pregnant and I haven't missed a video since, sometimes I watch old ones too lol. Lovely video thank you peeps! Loki says "We are innocent!" Cory, you, Kristen and dear little Chell are all so lovely. I think your cow/ moose noises are very good. Chell will understand you, whichever voice, accent, language you speak. Babies are like little sponges - absorbing everything, taking everything in - and then they astound you with something they've learned! Watching your child grow and develop is fascinating in my opinion and with parents like you two, Chell is set to have a wonderful and fun childhood :)
At 9:25, it sounds like there are 2 babies are crying but it's probably that baby's camera that's the delaying the sound a little.

No it's baby acne. Both of my kids got it too. It's nothing serious, and will go away fairly soon.

YES, you are soooo doing the right thing, her mimicking you is a sign of emotional and intellectual intelligence ( okay I only speak for myself, I"m not Dr. Spock or miss. Montessori) , my daughter did that and she is amazing, and a natural actress to boot!

That pie made my mouth water sooooo much. I haven't had rubarb since I was a little girl and definitely miss it.
I was an early talker too. I said my first words at around 6 months. I would mimic words when my parents would talk to me. My first words were "I like you." My mom, dad, and grandma all heard it and they said it was clear as day. By the time I was 2 or 3 I could have conversations with adults and they would be shocked to learn that I was 2. Chell is going to grow up to be a smart, kind, beautiful girl. A tip with rhubarb cut it up and freeze it so it won't go bad since you have so much. My family does it all of the time and it still tastes great.
Chell's smile is simply adorable. I love dimples and hers are too cute for words! I also love that you still give love to your first babies: Loki, Sparta, and Penny. It's always important to make sure they don't feel neglected after a new baby is born. I'm still curious about what that noise was. Did you find out?
If you go back and look, there is a banana sitting in the middle of the floor. I don't know if that hitting the floor would be enough to make a big noise or not.

The pictures hung with the lights is so neat! I totally like that you have taken out the profanity at the ending of the videos when you say "whoa, I gotta' do that again!" Very good thing to do. Very nice to hear about Chell imitating words. She is so sweet and smart.

No, if he had been asleep the weight of his head would have caused Chell to wake up. His head would be too heavy to rest on Chell like that. But isn't it cool that he knows how to put her to sleep?

These vlogs are what makes my weeks. I love every single one of them, the simplicity and raw way of showing the day to day life of new parents is just so interesting.
I hate when TH-camrs act like it's so easy to have kids (it is for some lucky fews), but it won't always be happy times and easy night times..
so it's so nice to see other parents who struggle like parents do and find weird ways to cope and comfort, because it feels down to earth.
It's in a weird way so soothing and refreshing. It makes your channel and your blogs so personal. :)

I played Portal because of Cory and now it's such an important part of my life and has helped me bond with so many people. I remember in random parts of the day that they named their daughter Chell and it always makes me smile.

My kid's grandfather used to scratch their names on small pumpkins and as it matured the scar would grow with the pumpkin. They had fun finding the pumpkin that had their name on it.

Awesome vlog! I love how told us about the whale baleen. It's important people learn about traditions, cultures, and ways of life of other people! "Way of life" means something so different depending on who you are or where you are from. :) I'm from Canada and find it so interesting to learn about the Aboriginal cultures who live here, and I'm sure Chell will absolutely love the different learning experiences Alaska will provide!
