!!!HELPFUL!!! It's frustrating while simultaneously complimentary that people leave out the basics when they're doing something specialized for TH-cam. Their Vids assume we are the same level mechanic as they and that's pretty far from the truth I usually find. There are some real wizards on here! 'Most would skip the drifting out of the bearing rod and that's usually the help I was looking for the MOST! Thx!
Glad it helped! 1 thing I have found with the open cover is that water that gets in rusts on the steels and they bind up, sometimes quite firmly. A bump start and fanging it down the road with the clutch in eventually "breaks the seal". Maybe not an issue for you in AZ!
@@DustyVisorMotorcycles That's one of those "extras" always good to know about and often a LARGE section in the notebook with makers like Ducati. This bike would be one of a couple so no need to ever ride in the rain and it had always occurred to me to run the compressor and blow out the open clutch to get it as dry as possible. Really glad to know about what I should really be watching out for now though.
@@CraigHunterArizona Yeah, we gotta deal with anything at anytime here unfortunately, I put a shower cap over the cover when washing and run the bike at the end of it to maybe flick out any water that gets in. Sometimes works, sometimes not...
in this case i would get from these 1/2 clutch covers, so it reveals the alu plate, bc is quite hard to notice with full cover, even if it is perforated..

Yes, it is a bit hidden I guess. Depends on the bike and what look you are wanting I suppose.
Going for looks, so you set your CF clutch cover FACE DOWN on the concrete?
Yeah don't kick it! It's pretty ratty anyway.....😎
This aluminium plate, just for better looks?
It's red so the bike will go faster...........😎
